Popped in on a squishy needoh hunt after five below and store was HUGE! Cashier was welcoming the second we stepped in despite my son being a bit rowdy (with excitement) to see the squishies. Although no Needoh's, she let us know to follow their instagram that was posted on the door for the latest drops. They still had a good section of squishies though. We got a couple other little things and treats and returned the following day to get a couple more items. Both visits the cashier was very friendly. The store has soooo much to look at. In the back we found a minecraft pig, but decided it would be too big to pack so we ordered online from hallmark instead. Loved all the fall and halloween decor out at the front. read more

I bought 2 clothing items 11Dec2019. Never took them out of the bag. Yesterday, I took them in for return. Tags on, receipt, same condition. The owner wasn't there, and her employees fell all over themselves in apology. They called said owner, and she directed them to tell me to come back tomorrow. SINCE I DO NOT DRIVE TEMPORARILY, THIS CONSTITUTES A HARDSHIP FOR ME. I gave the associate my name in hopes that he would call her back & let her know who I was. She didn't care. So now I have a Ron if things I just don't need, some cards, and damn PJ's. Doubt I'll be back. It's only 1/8 of a mile from where I live. And when I'm healthy, I can walk there. The store manager of this Hallmark is the worst. I went in last week to buy two cards. Two. There was not anyone in front of me in line and it literally took the store manager 15 minutes to ring me up. She was super awkward about it, too. Today I had to stop in this store because I had a prepaid USPS box to drop off. I've heard that the USPS clerk in this store is rude, but she was absolutely fine and even apologized to me for how rude the store manager was to me. I stood in line for quite some time to drop off my package and just when it was about to be my turn the store manager came and rudely announced to me and the lady behind me that we were standing in the wrong place and made us move to the other side of the store. As soon as I arrived where she wanted me I was called up to the counter. I asked how we would know where to stand as it was not marked in any way and the store manager barked that there are signs posted at the FRONT of the store. I certainly did not see that sign and it makes no sense for it to be posted at the front of the store as the post office is in the back of the store. I will not make the mistake of entering this store again. It is a real shame that the store manager herself is the problem. read more

Don't come here if you want to utilize their post office. The woman at the post office is rude and not very welcoming at all. She informed me that starting October I wouldn't be able to get a receipt for my packages, and that they will only accept 5 packages per person. Then the next time I came in, she told me that they no longer will accept pre-paid labels. I don't know if it's something personal against me or what because everytime I come she tells me a new rule that isn't posted anywhere and I don't hear her telling the other customers these rules. They now placed they postal bin at the front of the store for you to drop off packages. If you can't use prepaid labels starting October, why is their a bin for it? The bin is located at the store where anyone could come in the store and steal the whole bin. I used to love shopping at this Hallmark because it's usually always neat and clean and I can easily buy gifts and ship them in store, but I won't be returning. read more

The heavier set lady with curly hair at the post office is incredibly rude. She saw me walk in towards her and put up her closed sign and then wouldn't even acknowledge the fact that she was closed when it says online that they close at 9. I went in with a coupon that had been mailed to me for a small stuffed animal for Valentine's Day. I purchased just under &100 which qualified me for the bear. It was added to my bill then subtracted, but I never received it. When I got home -30 miles, I called, and spoke to someone giving them my address so it could be mailed to me. It never came. It took another trip to get a gift for my granddaughter. I have shopped for all my cards, ornaments at this Hallmark store for the last 6 years. I will NOT shop here again. If they don't want the average $100. that I spend every 1-2 months. There are other businesses that will-and I can get my cards discounted. This is a nice store, but lack of service is something I will not tolerate. I went to Clayton yesterday to a Hallmark store and spent over $200.00. And the service was excellent . It was a slightly smaller store, but had what I wanted. I do not like to have to drive 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours to shop. I know since Covid, that quality, quantity, cost and service have all taken hits at many businesses, but I have found new places where quality and quantity are still the old norm. I know it seems really silly to review a Hallmark, but I swear I have a good reason to! All Hallmarks are the same - greeting cards, overpriced candles, useless ornaments that sing, blah blah blah. The reason why I'm reviewing this place is because of the little USPS counter hidden in the back of the store. You'd never notice it until you went inside really. While most post offices close at 5 PM, this one closes at 6 PM, which is why I love it so much. That extra hour makes a world of difference - especially when you have to get that last minute package mailed and don't get out of work till 5 PM. You know you've been on that boat at one point or another! It's usually the same two ladies that work behind the counter and they're super nice. So anytime you need that last minute package sent out ASAP, come here! read more

From "office birthday" to "just because" cards, this place has got you covered! The best part about this store is that there is a POST OFFICE in the back! I dropped in today to mail a last-minute birthday present and there was virtually no line -- I waited no longer than a minute before I was served! In my previous visit, I had a decent time finding cards, but the employees disappointed me a bit. I didn't have anyone offer to assist me in finding cards, and I had to wait a couple minutes at the front for someone to check me out -- no one was stationed there. I do wish there were more love-themed cards for unmarried couples. The "boyfriend-girlfriend" cards were borderline silly, and practically all of the anniversary cards were for married couples. If there is something you need, the staff will bend over backwards to find it. Here's what happened. I went into Hallmark for a card and cards for an upcoming holiday. I had checked other places but they didn't have it, or didn't know what I was looking for. So I went into Hallmark. They knew exactly what I needed. When there was none on display, the staff did a store wide search for what I needed. They did more than just go to the back of the store to check. They looked under all of the bins. They found what I needed and helped me save some money in the process with a my rewards card. Debby's Hallmark is a great place to find any greeting card needs that you might have. Like other Hallmark's they also carry some merchandise from Vera Bradley, Croc and Life is Good. The staff is always friendly and ready to help. A big bonus (HUGE) is that they have a post office inside. It is a full service location with priority and express mail services. They have 2 weekday pick-ups, 1pm and 6pm. I am probably in the store 2-3 times a week just to use their post office. The only reason I was there was to use the post office in the back. On the way to the back, I saw a product I had thought about buying on Amazon, although the one on Amazon one was of better quality. After mailing a package, I checked out the product again on my way out, and thought, well, I could buy it on Amazon, but... if I buy it here I'll be supporting a local business, and tis the season, so sure, I'll buy it. The worst costumer service ever. I purchased an item for a Christmas gift and was never told that it was non-returnable due to it being a seasonal item. Had I known this information, I would not have made the purchase. In addition, when I attempted to return the item, I got rude employees with the oh-well attitude. They made their money and could care less whether I was out $30.00 or not. I will never shop at this location again. Older lady confused because she'd mixed up the to/from labels, she wasn't being aggressive about it, and he just repeatedly said "it's not my fault you screwed up the labels" in a really nasty tone. Trying to find a gift for an 80 year old woman I wandered in here. The staff was attentive and friendly and told me about upcoming events and helped me pick a gift. They have a post office inside so I was able to send the gift from inside the store. The post office does close at 6 though so if you are shopping late you may need to come back. read more

Recently, I went to Debby's Hallmark in Brier Creek to return a gift that my daughter received for her graduation. We had a gift receipt so I assumed there would be no problem. My friend that gave the gift specifically asked for a gift receipt so that she could return the item if she would prefer the cash. I have never been treated so poorly in a retail situation. The clerk said I could not return the item but had to exchange it. When I asked to speak to the manager she returned from the back saying (after 10 minutes) that the manager said I could return but had to put it back on the same charge card. Why would I have my friends charge card!?? After asking if I could talk to the manager the clerk came back and said she was now in a meeting. This is after going back in forth for 20 minutes. The item I was trying to return was over $50 and that is a lot of birthday cards to accept an exchange. Especially, when my friend was told it could be returned for cash. If you are someone who does not like being lied to or treated poorly I would NOT SHOP AT Debby's HALLMARK IN BRIER CREEK! You would be better off getting your cards at Target...they value their customers. read more
