Ok, Debbie is amazing. The whole experience was so great. I showed her like 10 pictures of things I liked from each cut and she came up with the perfect cut for me. I could not even tell her specifically what I wanted but through questions, she figured it out. I have been in the DFW area for 15 years and have gone to so many places (including some that frequently occupy the top 10 salons in the DFW area) and they never get it right. So much that for a long time I just went to get trims and left my hair long to avoid the frustration. Debbie took the time to listen, she clearly knows hair. This cut is so precise and so well done. She is very meticulous and I love how she styled it using the same tools I would use at home, instead of styling it into something I can not recreate (she blow-dried it using her hands- which is what I do). Debbie an amazing colorist. She is an artist with hair. I am a low maintenance gal and go twice a year to get my hair highlighter. I get compliments constantly on my hair color/highlights. The best thing for me is I can go twice a year and she is so great at strategic placing of the highlights - they grow out perfectly in my hair without leaving obvious roots - and I look effortlessly groomed. It has been 12 weeks since I got my hair cut by Debbie. I wanted to wait about a week or so after getting my hair cut to write a review. This way I could see what the hair was really going to do and also to get used to it. Well... 12 weeks later and I am FINALLY writing a necessary review. When I contacted Debbie to get my hair cut she asked if I could come in 15 minutes earlier than my appointment. She wanted to get to know me AND my hair then to go over the details of exactly what I wanted to do with my hair since I was getting it all chopped off. The day has come and I'm finally going to my appointment. First impressions are big deal and Debbie is a big deal. I was immediately comfortable and ready to go ahead and take this big step in getting all my hair cut off. She washes my hair and then the magic begins. I have never had anybody cut my hair in "parts". The majority of my hair was cut off while my hair was damp. My hair was then dried and it was cut more. Finally my hair was styled with product in it and it was cut even more. Talk about perfection! I walked out of that salon with literally a huge weight lifted off my shoulders and some of the best looking hair I've ever had. I could not wait to write a review! Well....guess what? 12 weeks later and my hair still looks good. The only downside to getting your haircut by Debbie is that a lot of people are going to stop you and compliment you on your awesome hair. Okay.....so that's not really a downside....at all. I've recommended a friend as well and she had a good experience. I'm a HUGE fan of Debbie!! I was recommended to her by my much wiser sister and I haven't gone to another stylist since! Debbie is truly a miracle worker with hair! I have really thick hair that soaks up any color we put in it. And after seeing many stylists I have finally found someone that knows how my hair works. I wrote a review for debbie back when she was with the michael raymond salon on my other yelp account and thought i should post it here too (since then i have seen her several times and she never fails to deliver, she knows what she's doing and leaves me feeling like a million bucks each time I see her!) " had went to the same salon for four years and i just felt like I needed a change, and I'm so glad I did! My color/stylist was Debbie. She was so friendly and helpful! During the consultation she really listened to what I had to say and gave me several options (with prices) so I could pick exactly what i wanted without going over my budget. Even though I had forgotten to tell them how thick my hair was when making the appointment, she didn't show the slightest bit of irritation when it took two hours to dye my hair, which forced her to stay an hour after regular closing hours. (Several nights a week they stay open late with fewer assistants for those with late schedules) The final dye product was amazing she was able to fix my eight toned hair, replacing it with a gorgeous natural blonde. The cut was just as satisfying! She walked me through cutting off ten inches of hair (my choice), then gave me the most chic, sexy bob I've seen. I spoke with her on the phone and immediately liked her, and then met with her for a consultation. What I was looking for in all the stylists I've met recently was a "vision" for my hair based on what they see currently, what I say about it, and what would be "best" ultimately for my face and body composition.
