First and foremost everyone in store was fine - no issues and I wasn't upset with the situation. The car needed an oil change and I forgot to bring in the mailer stating their oil change special of 39.95. I told the lady at the counter but she wouldn't honor it because I didn't bring it in. Okay- annoying but whatever right? WRONG. They drained the oil but then couldn't get the filter out. I know this can be a common issue but to quote me nearly $400 PLUS the $80 oil change seemed insane. I called the last place that did the oil change and they completely took care of it/me. Now I paid the $80 thanked them and left. But I found the mailer and read every single word - nowhere does it state it needed to be brought in for redemption, it actually doesn't even say it's a coupon it says "oil change special" So I called the manager Blake, he was immediately rude, condescending and disrespectful. When I mentioned the tech drained the oil before taking out the filter he instantly remarked how "That's the ONLY way to do an oil change." (Truly, almost any mechanic can give you a different answer on what's right or wrong but that's neither here nor there). It was the immediate rudeness and talking down to me that really took me by surprise. I told the manager all I was asking was a partial refund since I had the ad and it doesn't say it needs to be brought in. He essentially told me too bad and again "EVERY store requires the coupons in person." He then offered that the coupon doesn't expire so I can bring it in next time. I told Blake frankly I don't know that I'll come back if this is how they treat customers. After a few minutes of back and forth regarding the coupon Blake told me I can bring the mailer in, he will write me a check for the difference, and to never come back to his shop again. P.S I called Amerifix of Franklin - I said I totally forgot my mailer at home can you still honor the coupon, they told me yes. I also asked if they usually drain the oil first or remove the filter, he said they remove the filter first. What a terrible way to do business and a terrible way to treat customers. Shame on you Blake.

Because I expressed curiosity, they explained and showed me their process of working on the engine. They finished quickly, charged an unbelievably low rate, and didn't try to sell me any additional services I didn't need. Several days later, my engine is in great condition. It could be corrected; the cost would be $2065. My second phone call was to inform me the mechanic had found other issues with my car, plus the mechanic had broken my engine oil dipstick. There would be an extra charge to me for the replacement of the dipstick. My car had just gotten a complete checkup 30 days prior and except for the engine oil leak none of the other items mentioned were found at the prior inspection. when I went to pick up my car, I was directed to the credit card reader to make my payment. Upon review of my statement, I seen that I was charged for using my credit card. No one told me there was an upcharge for using my credit card. I was also told that my oil change was 10,000 miles overdue. I asked if anyone had checked the windshield sticker, to actually see when my last oil change was done. That was a collective NO. I would not recommend this A&R auto repair on Warfield to anyone.
