I have great respect for dr kane's skill and ability. somehow it seems there is more importance placed on vaccine status than practical need. I wish people would keep current, with Johns Hopkins, Dr. Robert Malone and other International experts, and realize that it is time to move forward. let's focus more on helping people and less on punishing them for their acceptance of new research and standards. the new variants are less impactful and the vaccines are not effective. I have been coming to Dr. Kane for 6 years and unfortunately, my time with his practice has come to an end. Plastic surgeons have a rep for being almost like sleazy salesmen and I appreciated that Dr. Kane was never like that, until now. I went in seeking a subtle eyebrow lift and Dr. Kane and Lauri recommended "Newtox" (Jeuveau). I always trusted Dr. Kane's opinion and never thought he'd sell me something I didn't need, but this time he did. I am incredibly disappointed, as the over 100 units of Newtox supposedly did nothing. I didn't notice any change to my eyebrows and I didn't have wrinkles to begin with, so it was a waste of money ($600+). Lauri then had the audacity to tell the receptionist to schedule me for more Dysport. Dr. Kane also weirdly felt the need to comment negatively about my skin. This was all after calling me back 35 minutes after my appointment time. No apology was given for that. This all signals to me that it's time to move on. Unfortunately, I am experiencing changes to my appearance that could be the result of the over-injection of Newtox. I am not sure why as someone with no wrinkles seeking a subtle brow lift, I was recommended such a high amount of units. I cannot wait for it to wear off. This has been a truly bad experience. I have had several major procedures over the years so when I go for a consult I am a serious patient. Until now I have never paid for a consult but Mr Kane does a procedure I was interested in. They must assume you are going to use them because the first 20 minutes is wasted on every medical history form known to man. I made my appointment with Laurie but when they were escorting me back she seemed annoyed I was there so they stuck me in a room for another 20 minutes. Laurie, who is not a doctor, finally came in and told me what she thought I should have done. I asked to see pics and after another wait, she didn't have any of that procedure. She said she would email me a quote and I could come back another time to meet the doctor because he was busy. So for my $75 consult fee I never saw a doctor. I guess this is the fee for the folder they give you promoting themselves! Don't waste your time on a practice that doesn't value your time or money! I paid $1500 for a procedure that only lasted a week. When the secretary called to confirm my 1-week follow-up I told her it didn't work and asked if I still need to come I. She told me to still come in and let the doctor see. I asked if they'd fix it for free since it didn't take and she said "of course". This is the only reason why I still went. Of course, when I got there I was told that she was wrong to tell me that. "He doesn't fix anything for free". He examined me and told me I'd be better off getting fat from somewhere in my body vs the substance he used and my body won't reject it. He said I should schedule it. More money?...no thanks. I should've stuck with my beloved Dr Schreiber but he's always full. read more

What a mistake!! I went to see Dr. Kane for the first time in June. I wanted to see if he could help the darkness and thin skin under my eyes. It was quickly suggested that I get a Restalyne injection and they had time right then to do it. Being my first procedure, I was nervous. I was promised drastic results that did not happen. However, the worst part is I now have a lump under my eye where the needle was inserted. I look worse than I did when I went in originally. At my follow up, Dr. Kane told me that I should massage the bump 3 times a day and it would go away. It has been 3 months and just yesterday someone asked me if I had a been bitten by a bug under my eye. I have never been so disappointed. read more

Would not recommend it to even my enemies. Had acne scarrings so Went to them In hopes to clear up my skin, 2 months and after spending $500 later, my skin got worse than ever. Their products broke me out. Made my skin worse. it's been six months and I'm still dealing with the Aftermath. They say "your skin will clear up" but they should say "your skin will get worse". If you want to waste your money there then go for it. I wish I never went there. read more

Would not recommend. Had to sit and wait for Botox for 45 mins. Dean Kane and his wife walked into waiting room. Didn't say one word, nothing, wasn't even acknowledged. And they both looked miserable, like very unhappy people. After 2 weeks had to go back since the Botox didn't "take." Well Mr. happy himself comes in and is a hot mess. Just aggravated and pissed. He had to switch out the needle he was using and in doing so stuck himself!! It was CRAZY!! Never seen anything like it! Then he hits the vein that runs down my flipping forehead and I have a hematoma looking welt on my forehead for days!! Okay nuff said.. Horrible experience!! What an amazing place. Everyone I've talked to there, from Heather, Laurie, Dr. Kane himself, and the nurse this evening (whose name is escaping me right now) just has really impressed me. I had a 4 PM appointment - I left work in Fairfax at 2:30 to get there by 4. The rain of course, ruined that plan. A 55 mile drive managed to take 3 hours. I didn't get up there until 5:30 PM, which they graciously stayed late for me for. Dr. Kane even thanked me for driving so far and taking the time to see him, and gave me a hug and kiss on the cheek on the way out (not creepy even though we had just met). He and his wife, Laurie, made me feel extremely comfortable and I have zero hesitation about having them do my procedures. I'm honestly just floored at all of the personal attention I've received, not just in person, but also prior to the appointment with the phone calls and emails I had. And the office - absolutely stunning. The artwork Dr. Kane does is amazing. Straight up - if you need anything cosmetic done, RUN do not walk, to this office. This is a very expensive Spa but it is also a Spa that gives you additional perks along with the things that you set out to get. I have melasmas and have been anxious to try chemical peels for the last year. The aesthetician at this spa Felicia has been amazing, in fact everyone that works there is friendly and helpful. Felicia has been very honest about the ViPeel and how many it takes to see results for my melasmas and has done additional work on my face as a complimentary gesture. I have had two and did not see many results from the first but results from the second and she was very honest that this would be the case. I highly recommend this spa and Felicia. read more

I go here for the ZO facials done by Deb which includes a light peel. I have had one other esth. do a facial on me which was good as well. Deb is so great she is very gentle but effective and likes to try different methods. She even gave me a free facial during a thunderstorm because they had to turn off all of the equipment. read more

I am a 63-year-old man and now most people think I am no older than my early 40s. Procedures I had: 1. Corregator resection (reduces vertical lines above the nose) 2. Bilateral upper lid blepharoplasty (removal of excess skin and fat from upper eyelids) 3. Standard rhytidectomy (removal of excess skin from the face, jowl and neck. Tightening the underlying fascia and muscle.) I choose to have the procedures done to have a more youthful appearance, particularly the excess skin at the jowl and neck. Dr Kane and his staff are superb. The word excellent would not give them enough credit for the outstanding experience I had. Everyone is very professional and friendly. I was fully informed as to what to expect and what the total costs would be in advance. If you are considering cosmetic surgery, Dr. Kane and his staff are, in my opinion, the best in their field and the only ones to choose. I honestly do feel this strongly about how outstanding they are. I chose Dr. Kane partially due to a recommendation from a friend of a friend and also after doing research online. I could not be more satisfied about the results. Several friends who knew I was getting cosmetic surgery say that the procedure has taken more than 20 years off my appearance. Other friends that do not know just comment either that I never seem to age or that I am looking good. This makes me feel better about appearance and myself. Staff is awesome I agree. My surgery was a few years ago. Still have bad scarring on neck which is very visible. Scarring around my ears which always stays white when the rest of my face is tan...very visible. Went with Dr. Kane because I thought he was an artist and I liked that. Please do more research...he's not an artist...he just advertises well. When you spend over 10k you should not have scarring. Don't believe the "It will take a year or year and a half" for swelling and scars to fade completely. I am not sorry I had the neck lift but wish I had selected another doctor and done more research. read more

I recently went to Dr Dean Kane for my procedure of silicone breast implants and am extremely happy with the results. I have always been unhappy with the size of my breasts, large A small B, and went to Dr Kane for a consultation. From the moment that I walked into the office for the consultation everyone in the office was extremely friendly and treats you like a member of the family. The office is gorgeous and Dr Kane's artwork on the walls is amazing. The staff explained the entire procedure with me, answered any/all questions I had and made myself and my boyfriend confident that Dr Kane was the surgeon of choice. Dr. Kane called the night of the surgery to check on my status and to assure me that he was available if we had any questions/issues. I am extremely satisfied with the results! I went to a full C/small D cup which for my frame of 5'3 125 lbs, fits me perfectly. Dr Kane's wife, Lori, was very helpful in helping me choice the correct size to look proportionate to my body frame. I am 31 years old, from the Baltimore area, and recently decided to get breast implants after being unhappy with my breasts for at least the last five years. I was happy with everything about my petite, athletic figure, except for my chest which just didn't seem proportional to the rest of my body. I used to be adverse to any type of plastic surgery or cosmetic procedure, but my views on that changed as I realized I deserved to look and feel my best. Only five weeks after the surgery I am beyond thrilled about my decision and so thankful that I chose Dr. Kane to do the procedure. Dr. Kane and his wife Lauri educated me about the procedure, answered all of my questions, and took a lot of time to pick the size and shape of the implant that would give me the results I wanted. I was most worried about the look and feel - so we decided to go with silicone implants, under the muscle. I was an A cup, and decided to go with 425cc high profile implants, hoping for a youthful looking full C cup. When I had made my decision and booked the procedure, I prepared myself for the possibility of my breasts feeling and/or looking unnatural - at least without clothes or in a bathing suit. I felt that it would still be worth it since I was so unhappy with them the way they were. Today, five weeks after surgery, I seriously cannot get over how they look and feel. They are perfectly sized with my body, perky, and feel so natural (with the exception of the scars on my nipples which take more time to soften). I literally cannot find the implant, not even an edge. They move just like they used to move. The scars are only noticeably up close, and will continue to fade. All in all, I haven't had a single regret and feel like a new person. If you are thinking about the procedure, my advice is to DO IT!! However, make sure you choose a good doctor. I don't think I would be as happy as I am if I hadn't done my research and chosen Dr. Kane. He and his entire staff made (and are still making) my experience a wonderful one. They are very professional but also fun and so friendly. They helped me set up all of my pre-op appointments which was the biggest pain, and always answered and emails right away. They spent a lot of time with me as I made my decisions about the surgery and I got the feeling that they would have spent more if I had needed it. The office is very beautiful and clean, and the procedure was performed right in it, which I really liked! I was in and out in a few hours. During my first night of recovery, I had a question and had Dr. Kane answered my text message right away. It's very refreshing to have an experience like this turn out better than expected and I couldn't be more grateful for everyone at the office!! read more
