One of the most sold breweries in El Paso if not the best. Looks like a normal average spot until you walk in. Good brew, music and good vibes. read more

I really wanted to like this place. They advertised brunch on FB so I decided to order several items. The eggs Benedict was a miss, the biscuits seem like canned biscuits, the brisket was barely there, the chilaquiles were dry and served on a bed of hashbrowns that weren't fully cooked, the avocado toast wasn't really avocado but some kind of spread like you'd get at costco, the best thing was the waffles but even then the whipped cream tasted like from a can. the pictures don't match up with what I got. The space looks nice to enjoy a beer. read more

DeadBeach Brewery - Stout - Breweries Near Me - El Paso, Texas

I'm so happy that Deadbeach finally opened and I was in town to experience it. The decor is a little funky and doesn't have a true brewery feel. It definitely is an old hold over from the location's days as a nightclub. With that being said, the beers are fan-freakin'-tastic. I did two flights so I could try all beers on tap. Each flight was $7 for 4 beers, 5oz pours. Some of the stand outs to me were Brown Bonnie (ended up getting a growler of it), Rye Me A River, and Chuco Cabra. I was able to speak with the owner and brewmaster about his previous experiences. I was curious because of how strong all of the beers were, strong not in ABV, but in their quality. Usually you'll find a brewery does good at one style, not so good at another. This isn't the case at Deadbeach. He told me about his time as an assistant Brewer at Jaxon's (what a throwback!) and his love for beer. We also talked about his amazingly awesome tap handles. I was so enthralled with the creativity and detail on each one. They also serve coffee and have a pretty rad espresso machine in case you or your friends don't drink beer but still want to enjoy the ambiance. Really cool place, I'm happy El Paso is finally on the map with its own breweries. read more

Best craft beer in El Paso. No question. They are constantly creating new, super funky brews. During their kegsgiving event, I had a black tea lager and a chai golden stout. They were awesome and like nothing I've ever drank before! If you're more traditional with your beers, they have a classic lager, brown ale, IPA, and hefe that don't disappoint either. The pizza is great, the service is great, the patio is AWESOME. Lots of live music out there on friday and saturday nights. They also have done a few festivals this year which were so so fun. You can tell they really want to be a part of the El Paso community, and they do a great job at that. Just wish they were open all week long! read more

Local breweries are finally popping up again in El Paso! I am happy to report that the grand opening celebration this past Sunday was a huge success with beer flowing, live music, 3 food trucks, & lots of good people coming together for good local beer. They had 4 beers on tap: a brown, ipa, pale ale & pumpkin. The clear winner was the brown. It was so good! I'm a hop head & wasn't a huge fan of the ipa. The pale ale & pumpkin were really subtle & seemed to be lacking a bit of carbonation. It's a small space with a long bar & a nice little patio with a great view of where the magic happens. They also serve coffee, tea & sodas for those that don't drink beer. The coffee beans are from Picacho Roasters, my favorite local roaster. Someone ordered coffee & they served it with a side of milk mixed with crema Mexicana, which I thought was pretty interesting & now want to try! All in all this is a fantastic addition to our local craft beer & bar scene. I think they're still working out a few brewing kinks and are only going to get better. I can't wait to drink more of their creations especially when they collaborate with Picacho. read more

Beer is really solid here. I came during the middle of the day and it was quiet so I had a couple beers. I walked away purchasing one of their crowlers, which was pretty awesome. 64 ounce though it's not labeled on the crowler itself-its only flaw. Would definitely be a regular if I lived locally. read more

My boyfriend and I wanted a good, close place to eat and drink before the Chihuahua's game. We chose DeadBeach. We walked into the bar room area and it was PACKED so we made our way to the patio. It was 100 degrees outside, but the patio was still cool and shady. They had multiple fans blowing and even a mister going. I got a flight of mainly dark/brown beers and he got a 16oz honey badger. The beers were great! We also tried the DeadBeach IPA, the Liquid swords IPA, the Hefeweizen, and a sour peach beer- all great beers!! We split the cry baby fries which were amazing and the grandwich. I would literally come back to this place just for that sandwich! The perfect mix of sweet and salty. The Cajun fries were just okay. Great service even on a super busy day. We will be back! read more

Beer and food was outstanding. Small space and definitely overwhelmed on a Friday. Would recommend toanyone visiting El Paso

Dark Beers? Yes please! Great staff! Great beers! A must do in El Paso. PLUS the music will make your 90s alternative rock heart happy.

Good brews, good mix of dark beers, pils, and fruitt summer beers, plus wine! They offer growler service as well to take home your favorite. The outdoor seating area is nice but the rain kept us indoors this time. Smoking is allowed outdoors so we might have ended up inside anyway since smoke exacerbates my allergies. They have a food truck with a selection of burgers, nachos, and sandwiches. Vegetarian friendly options are available. We got a flight of four 4-5 oz pours for 9 dollars. The abuela stout, the coconut brown ale, the abuela coffee, and the ginger red, the abuela we heard was their best by a friend and i agree. Its a strong 8.9%, is mildly sweet and goes down very smooth, a very good dark beer. The others were okay but if we go back it will be to try their new stuff aging in the barrels or to get the abulela stout. read more

First things first, where's the entrance? Anyways after walking through the entrance you'll be greeted by not so friendly people at the front desk, but they did show me the way through the actual tavern. Soon as I got sat down I did get attended by this sweet young lady named Brenda. She offered a tour around the place which was sweet of her! Overall 10/10 service from Brenda, compared to the rest of the staff working there she REALLY stood out! The place has its original steampunk look, and the ambiance is great. After she took my order down it did take a while for my food to get here. Food was mediocre for its price and wait and the beer was good but a bit overpriced compared to their retail price which doesn't make sense??? Overall you can tell this place is far from ready...management doesn't seem to have a clue of how things are being ran in there. Deadbeach needs to pick better people to run that place before it plummets if it already hasn't. read more

Spent two weeks in El Paso recently. Stopped in here on an afternoon and was impressed. Had fish tacos and a flight on the outdoor space. Had a sweet older woman as our server. She was great! Tacos were awesome and the beer was tasty. Really liked the Czech pilsner. Decided to go back a second time but ended up getting a weird bartender with a creepy mustache. Tacos were still awesome tho. read more

When I first came to Deadbeach Brewery it was one of the best locations and it was unique. From the art to the amazing beer this place is live and when the music is playing I almost didn't want to leave. The beer was very tasteful and a wide variety. Porter patrol was appealing and tad so good. It was so tempting to get food but we didn't have enough time. I've been waiting a year to get a growler and my first is the best and most unique, thanks to deadbeach. I love this place so much it's changed a few things for the beater and the bar tender was nice and approachable. read more

DeadBeach Brewery - Breweries Near Me - El Paso, Texas

Walked into Deadbeach Brewery this past Saturday. Had a chance to chat with one of the owner's super cool guy. Started off with one of their IPA, tasted great. Next, I ordered a flight (four featured beers on tap) because I am a gentleman and I must try it all. I must applaud the porter for wining first place. The porter had a wholesome coffee flavor with a creamy taste. There is a party in your mouth and everyone is coming. They do not have food in house but they have a featured food truck outside. I like the concept of giving your customers a variety of food continuously with none of the clean up, touché. I would love to see them one day have both home brewed and other craft beer to choose from. Keep killing the brewing game and do not forget " alcoholics anonymous is for quitters." I am looking forward to what they brew next.......come on Belgium! read more

This is a diamond in the ruff! We heard of this place thru Ruili's & had to check it out. The place is small, there are 8 different beers made right here! They have an outside room with heaters for this time of year. The owner of the building was here & gave us a tour. He was very sweet. We also met the brewery owner who came and talked with us. We will definitely be back. read more

The food was great and our 5 and 7 yr old picky eaters liked the burger and chips. Food was delicious but was disappointed to learn that we were charged for our sides when the menu stated that a side was included. When we asked about it we were told the sides we ordered (elote and mac & cheese) were made fresh so they were not part of the sides included (but were listed on the menu under sides and didn't state that it was extra). The elote was so spicy I couldn't eat it but my burger was amazing and so was the ruben. Will be back again to try different items. read more

DeadBeach Brewery - Awesome taps - Breweries Near Me - El Paso, Texas

Yes!!! If you are a beer drinker, this is the place for you. The bar itself is very nicely done, fitting in well with the downtown revitalization vibe and it has a whole steampunk motif going on that they pull off well. You can also see the actual brewery in their second room which is very cool. They have several taps going at any one time featuring a variety of ales, lagers, porters, pilsners, and IPA's which are all absolutely awesome. The Porter Patrol is my favorite and I kid you not, this place serves up beer that I personally find to be better than most other craft breweries in the region and possibly the nation. I really think they're that good and I'm somewhat dumbstruck that I haven't been here sooner and that El Paso has a brewery that is so fantastic. If you get hungry they have a food truck usually parked outside during the evening hours into the night, but please keep in mind this is a brewery and they serve their own beer and nothing else. I heard one patron seriously ask for a budlight, and another couple walk out after realizing that it wasn't a full bar. I wouldn't go to a winery and ask Franzia, don't do the equivalent at a brewery. Overall Deadbeach is an incredibly welcome addition to our city and I would be floored if they were to one day start bottling and distributing their beer locally so I don't have to get lugging growlers around. read more

When I arrived, the outdoor patio was open, one of the employees told me to sit wherever, so I grabbed a table outside in front of the large, illuminated "El Paso" lettering. The atmosphere seemed great, but unfortunately, I sat there for 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged me. A male server working the patio said "I'll be right back with a menu." He continued to walk back and forth, bring drinks, food, and closed out tables, but still no menu. This is terrible service, and the patio was maybe only 30% filled. This place came highly recommended by locals, but turned out to be a disappointment. read more

Finally got to check out Deadbeach! (With a fellow yelper this time no less). First off, Deadbeach has awesome decor. Super cool thick door marks the entrance. Interesting steampunk art decorates the walls in massive portraits (if you don't know what steampunk is time to hit up wikipedia. Dorky but not quite anime). The interior is a little odd. Narrow tables line the walls (with the table pressed against the wall...and the art). The taps are beautiful handcrafted distinctive skulls/skeletons that were made in california. Fits the theme of the bar. I ordered a flight (4 beers) and got a glass of the Chuco cabra (Dark beer, solid). The flight comes with the picacho pearl, the great calabaza, the dead beach IPA, and the Chuco cabra. Unfortunately, their brown (dont know the name) is not part of the flight and apparently you can' t sub it in. Its unfortunate because its easily their best beer. I sampled it at the beginning. Tragically when it came time to order a full beer after the flight they had run out. So I got the Chuco cabra in stead. Sadly there is no food, but as stated in other reviews they rotate food trucks. I'll talk about that a little later. On to the beer! So, upfront i'll say the brown was great and i want to drink more of that. Their other beers are not quite my style. The Picacho pearl is a dark beer. It has a very unique taste. Its hoppy, with a cinnamon coffee flavor, almost nutty. While distinctive I did not particularly enjoy it. I like my dark beers to be more like milk stouts (left hand comes to mind). The Great Calabaza was all hop, up front. The beer didn't have much depth or flavor to me personally. The Deadbeach IPA was very hoppy, but flavorful. I'm not an IPA guy, but it wasn't bad. Finally, the Chuco Cabra was another dark beer. I obviously liked it cause i ordered a glass of it. One of their stronger beers they only serve it in a smaller glass. I can't think of colorful words to describe it at the moment so I'll just say it was good. There was one waitress rotating the tables throughout the bar. She was excellent at the beginning but once it got busy we didn't see her as much. There is a second room outside (It has cover and heaters which was nice) where you can watch the brewers do their thing. As to food, this time there was the Funky Cool Kitchen. MOstly fried food (Wings, fried pickles, pizza sliders). Nothing to go out of your way for but not bad. Pizza sliders were only ok but the fried pickles and fried mushrooms were good. I liked Deadbeach alot and totally see it as a place to hit up for some drinks before going out to the other downtown bars (or a baseball game). Also, props to them for having other brewery growlers above their bar (Ode included). A friendly rivarly in the making it seems. read more

The best brewing company in El Paso compared to the others by far. All the beers are a good quality base with a clean non-home brewy taste. They keep getting better. They have great seasonals and creative names. Supa Freak is good and the Scottish Way Heavy surprisingly good. The brewers are at the place and you can tell they care about their business and are passionate about beer. Greatly needed in El Paso. I was looking forward to enjoying some craft beers with my wife a few friends. That didn't happen. The waitress with the multiple colored hair didn't bring us a menu that she offered to bring us.
