Blazing Tree Brewery. Strawberry Kolsch and Watermelon Gose.
    John S.

Hit up this brewery the day after Thanksgiving, 2020. It is a small brewery located in an industrial complex right next door to a homebrewing shop. Yes, they make you wear a mask till you sit down and they have an industrial sized bottle of sanitizer by the door that they nicely ask you to rub on your hands when you enter. I came here with a bit of turkey still lodged in my gut from the dinner the night before. I figured with their name, marijuana would be featured in a beer, but I was wrong. The menu did feature some outstanding experimental beers with kick ass names. My wife and I ordered a flight of four: Honey Hefeweizen 7.3%, Strawberry Kolsch, Watermelon Gose, and the Pecan Porter 5.3%. I drank a pint of the Watermelon Gose, which was super refreshing, light and tasted like watermelon. My wife enjoyed a pint of the Strawberry Kolsch, and I must admit, every beer they had was something I'd never had before. I also sampled their peanut butter brown ale and Raspberry Lager. I gulped a second pint of their Raspberry Lager. The quality of these beers amazed me and the fruit flavors they used perfectly complemented the beers and made them ever better! For three pints and a flight we paid $31.50. If you find yourself in El Paso, visit this tiny gem. The servers are super nice and even offered to get us a growler from the homebrew shop nearby. Unfortunately we have too many growlers at home already and really wanted to purchase a crowler. My advice to management would be to purchase a crowler machine and sale aluminum crowlers. With the quality of beer at this establishment, the machine should pay for itself pretty quickly. The people have spoken and we want Crowlers!

Since this establishment opened it's been too notch. Pecan porter and their Peanut butter brown ale have been my fave for a while. But now it's the coconut milk shake. It has a tropical taste with a hint of coconut in the back end. Real smooth at a 7.9 ABV. Dog Star NEIPA 9.7 ABV WOW for a 9.7 this is a true all day IPA. Its a pina colada and orange brew and the citrus scent is noticeable. The flavor is very mild on the sweet. Well balanced flavor. If you're not an IPA drinker, this is still one to try. You'd be surprised.

I've been wanting to try this place for quite some time. When they opened back up, I jumped at the opportunity. Their staff were warm & friendly and didn't seem to mind answering my many questions about their beer. Their flights allow for you to try four of their beers before deciding which full sized beer you would like. I lean towards darker beers, of which they had a great selection. I ended up sampling two flights before deciding on a growler to go. I chose a growler of their Big Bad Wolf Bacon Brown Ale. Its a mouthful of a name but it's a delicious beer. If you can't guess by the name, it has hints of maple & is a tad bit sweeter than your normal brown ale. Fun fact, on Sunday you can refill your growler for $10. A steal? I think so! They have a food truck outside for some noms while drinking your craft brews. We arrived after dinner so I didn't get a chance to try anything but am planning on ordering food next time I visit. The only downside for this place is that there is no patio. I love a good brewery with a nice outdoor space. Especially during the pandemic, I feel safer sitting outside. So, I was bummed to find out there was no patio. This is the main reason I'm giving it a 4/5. Overall, I really enjoyed this brewery. Great beers, friendly staff, & a laid back ambiance. I will be back!

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. I just moved to Holloman AFB to be with my husband and we were dropping a friend off in El Paso. We found this place on google and decided to get it a try. My husband and my father got a flight of their beers and didn't dislike a single one. I got the blackberry cider and it was very tasty. Every single food plate that we got was AMAZING!! I got the flatbread with brisket, feta, picked onions, and avocado and I was speechless. When you go to brewery you expect decent bar food but this is gourmet. I will 100000% be coming back, the 1.5 hour drive is worth this place.

Continues to amaze: now I've got the privilege of tasting the Dog Star NE IPA. Was able to do a flight of Lighting IPA, Moonberry NEIPA, Mandarin IPA, Medusa IP, and of course Dog Star NEIPA. Dog Star blew the rest out the water: piña cada orange, 9.05 % ABV @12 oz. Ricky gave me the tour. Unfortunately can't add the video for some reason. What they do here is magic. Food truck outside was delish as well: Jordy's

What a cute little place! I stopped in here after doing a Mission Trail tour and was thirsty for some craft brew. This place did not disappoint! I had the address guiding me via a GPS app It's a small place, with a counter that can seat ten people, and three tables that can seat six each. Add dogs to the mix and it can get crowded, fast! I visited last Friday, on a cool, windy afternoon, and kept my dogs in the car in the shade. They don't drink beer anyway, so they didn't mind. I was immediately taken by the friendliness and knowledge of both Ricks. "Rick II" is the beer tender. "Rick I" is the general manager, and more than eager to give impromptu tours of the tiny place. I had a pecan porter, which is listed as "roasty and dry" and lives up to that description, and the #1 seller, the Peanut butter ale. I happened to come in during Happy Hour, which is Fridays and Saturdays from 11-3pm and pints are $3.50. I only collect beer stickers from breweries that make a good product. This one is one of them.

Super cool hole in the wall place I found it while I was at EP brew shop They had a very clean place right now (22 April 2020) it's walk up to window only for to go they have lots of great beers. I wanted to try them all I got two to go. They gave me a free sticker and told me to come on back for Sunday's it's 10 dollar fills.

Dove into Blazing Tree Brewery last night, as part of an adventure. It was a pleasant surprise to find out they had a food truck when I arrived. I got even happier, when I saw a list of at least 8 different burgers. From your classic American burger to hangover burger that includes an over east egg inside . The beer selection is still king of the brewery. I recommend the Buttnaked American Pale Ale. If you're looking for a lighter beer, I'd aim for the War Boots. I believe it's a lager. On this night, I ordered the Island Burger. A soft bun with Mayo, spam, hamburger patty, grilled pineapple, red onion, lettuce, and if memory serves correctly -- a pineapple sauce on top. Sorry, memory is a little shot after a couple APAs. The burger was juicy, savory and sweet. Savory and sweet is one of my favorite flavor profiles. I removed the red onion, only because I'm not a fan of red onion. I think it's overwhelming inside burgers, or anything for that matter. It was an interesting burger, that gives you a small taste of Hawai'i. Initially, I thought the spam was going to invade the taste buds with all its salt, but it paired nicely with the sweetness from the pineapple ingredients. Maybe I was full from a belly of beer, or maybe it was just a big burger (5" bun and patty). For size reference: Whataburger's burgers are 5". Great selection of beers on tap, and a menu worthy of a medium restaurants selection, I'd go back for another burger. There's one with a chipotle sauce that caught my eye. EP Burger Snob Score: 7.9/10 EP Beer Snob Score: 10/10

We were in El Paso visiting and this was the closest brewery to our hotel. We had the best time here! Great beer, super friendly staff! We were able to watch football, play cards, and had the owner chat with us and give us stickers for free! They have a food truck outside and are being very safe with covid protocols! 1000% recommend for some food beers and friendly folks!

This place has boomed in the last 3 months! They now have 12 beers on tap, they are always busy with people coming in and out for pints, flights, and to fill up growers. They are experiencing a few growing pains but they are growing well and are soon to be found on tap at local tap houses around town! The quality of the beers is still spot on perfect and I love that there is always something new brewing for the season. It's been cool to watch this little place grow up as I was one of the first to find it!

A little hard to find so I took a photo.

Beer was a-ok. They still had their seasonal pumpkin ale on tap. Grill was unfortunately closed early. Server was very nice.

Yes. According to their Instagram their current hours are: M-W: 4pm-10pm Th : 4pm-12am… Read more

Do they serve food as well?

Sometimes, only special days, but don't count on it. They will provide pretzels though for free and we've brought food in before.

My husband and I are trying to find new places to try. Is this place ok to bring kids, or is it better to come without?

I'd say it's better without. The tasting room isn't that large and there isn't anything to keep them busy.
