Jim Godbout - Recent installation of three Viessmann Vitodens 200 gas boiler.

They had serviced the Baxi for many years and had provided excellent service. I spoke to many contractors for the new project and Jim had the best price and by a fairly significant amount. I didn't immediately answer the door, but was a minute or two late. But went out opened the door and the estimator was running across the street. I said "Hi, I'm here." He jumped in his truck looked at me, and sat in his truck for about five minutes. I called him and he said I wasn't at the building as I stared at him and waved my arms in the air saying "I'm right here," and he said "he didn't have time to waste in his busy schedule," and drove off. I called the front desk to explain the strange behavior of their estimator Mike. and was told he had an hour to bid the job and didn't have anywhere else to be right at that moment. Fast forward five months and I call again to have an estimator come out, this time for Mini Split Heat Pumps. I spoke to the very professional lady at the front desk who told me it would be a two weeks to hear back from an estimator. I never heard back for three months. So I called again explaining I had never received a call back so she told me she would put it on the list. I called back three more times in two weeks because no one had called me back. The third time she put me immediately through to their main estimator, Good Ol' Mike. I said "hi my name is Evan." Mike Said "I know who you are and I'm never coming back to your house. You were late for our estimate the first time and I'm never coming back." He then told me that I told him that the reason I was late was because I was sick. I told him I never said that and never was sick. I've never had Covid, I just didn't answer the door immediately and you (Mike) ran away. He told me I was lieing and that "Mr. Godbout would back him up" and reiterated he would never step foot in my house. I told him don't worry about it and to have a good life. I don't know what is wrong with him. I don't know what he could reasonably have against me. But he just wasted many months of my life waiting to hear back from him for an estimate. It's clear now that he saw my address and didn't get back to me about my estimate initially because he holds some weird grudge against me. Honestly Ill never be using Godbout again because this guy is their point of contact for estimates and he is clearly unstable and I can't imagine why anyone would keep him as an employee. Everyone else I've ever spoken to there has been fine but Mike the Estimator is struggling with something.

    Gammon’s Heating & Cooling - Special offer

Our recent annual maintenance service with Gammon's Heating & Cooling was an excellent experience,…read morethanks to technicians Tyler and Aaron. Their technical proficiency was evident throughout the visit. They serviced our nine wall units and two outdoor condensing units with care, attention to detail, and a clear commitment to doing the job correctly. Although our heat pumps were originally purchased and installed by Gammon's, this was our first full annual maintenance under their service program. We had expected the work to occur in early fall or mid‑winter, but due to a high volume of emergency heating calls, the company requested that we defer to spring. While the delay was understandable, it highlighted the importance of strong scheduling and dispatch coordination. During the visit, Tyler and Aaron identified several condensate drains that had not yet been tied into the sewer system and completed that final installation step. This proactive work likely prevented future moisture‑related damage to walls or flooring, and we are grateful for their diligence. Their problem‑solving skills, tenacity, and customer‑focused approach stood out and gave us confidence in the long‑term reliability of our equipment. We did choose to upgrade to a more comprehensive maintenance plan and look forward to having our annual service scheduled just ahead of the winter heating season. We recommend Gammon's Heating & Cooling and believe the company delivers strong technical service. One area of opportunity is dispatching and scheduling. It would be helpful for dispatch to confirm the number of units at a customer's home, understand where equipment is located, and estimate the appropriate number of technicians needed. Additionally, providing more accurate arrival windows--or proactive updates when schedules shift--would help customers avoid waiting longer than expected. Overall, the quality of the technicians' work was excellent, and with some refinements to scheduling and communication, the customer experience could be even stronger. We look forward to their handyman sheet rocker coming to patch and match wall section removed and their electrician coming to correct ground fault circuit that appears to be missing a neutral wire.

Absolutely awful…read more Since I posted my first review, we found out that two of our units were faultily installed. One led to widespread leaking (where they didn't attach the hose properly to the unit to have it drain out) that ruined our second floor ceiling and destroyed a closet. Over a year later, we started to see our living room unit leak water profusely. An agent was sent out yesterday to fix it, but lacked a ladder and said he would be back. He never was, and attempts to get someone out here again have been met with bald faced lies - "we have no record of a visit set up." These people do not install these heat pumps correctly. We have had widespread damage to our house as a result of their negligence. Do not use them EVER. Not only is their installation crappy and negligent, but their communication is faulty and suspect. Do not waste your money.

They sent me to collections because my repair was done backward. I am utilizing funds from the USDA for heating issues and I needed an estimate before they started but they did the work, and THEN the estimate. Whilst they were doing that, I had my GMAN explain the procedure to them, all good but then it's January 2025 (they came in December) and government jobs are being vaporized, I am on my 4th G Rep, then the government shut down, but now its back on and my funds are there waiting for me. I spent 1400.00 on a boiler repair and within weeks, it is doing what it was doing before the repair that clearly did not work, AND then a pipe burst. But they aren't going to help me as my bill was outstanding. Had they done an estimate, and then a repair(so my g man can check it for me perhaps NONE of this would have happened, So what do they do, they send me to collections, for something they did to themselves. Now I have a brand new sexy(HA!) boiler and my house and heart have been warmed by honest hard working sincere others.Last years heating with electricity bill will also take much to long to pay down. Jerry's is horrifying. Ruthless

I contracted Jerry's Plumbing and Heating to install a hot water heater and fix two dripping…read morefaucets. I was charged $709 to fix the two dripping faucets and install a third faucet. Can you believe it???? It took three service calls! After the first visit, my plumbing was in worse shape than it was before they came. Neither the shower nor the bathroom sink worked. The incompetent plumber spent 90 minutes (at $150/hour) diddling with one bathroom faucet. After he said he might be able to fix the drip with another hour, I asked him to stop so I could buy a new fixture rather than spend another $150 on him MAYBE fixing it. Aren't plumbers supposed to suggest these things to the customers? He said I wouldn't be billed for all of that time. He was wrong. On top of it, he left for about half an hour during this time, presumably to find a part. I went from a dripping bathroom sink and shower to neither working at all. I was billed $409.55 for NOTHING. This should be illegal. When I called Jerry's Plumbing to arrange another service call to fix what they didn't fix the first time, I asked them to send a different plumber. They didn't. On the second visit, he managed to fix the sink faucet (after I bought a new fixture for $100), and spent considerable time fixing the shower which still didn't work after he left. Completely unusable, and the dummy never checked to see if it was working before he left! He incorrectly installed the stopcock on the shower so I couldn't turn it on. Of course, I feel like a dummy that I never checked before he left. I was billed $300 for this service call even though the shower still wasn't working. These people have a lot of nerve! On the second visit, they installed a hot water heater. The hot water heater's cost of $1950 included installation. They were here two hours. Somehow they also billed me an additional $300 for the above plus the installation of a third faucet. I think this is called double-billing? I arranged a THIRD service call as my shower, which previously dripped, was no longer working at all, and they sent different plumbers who clearly knew what they were doing. They fixed the shower, finally. If I had had these plumbers from the start, the bill might have been half what it was with the Diddling Around Plumber who couldn't get the job done. I was not billed for the third service call given that they were correcting the mistakes of the first plumber (the wrongly installed stopcock). The plumber who came on that call suggested that maybe the other plumber had been allowed to work on his own too soon. I'll agree with that!!!! I'm paying for his apprenticeship. $709 for two dripping faucets!!!!!! And I need to get another plumber here to double-check the water heater installation ($1950) as I don't trust that was done correctly.
