But they still manage to do just that. When we approached the host stand for information about getting seated at a table, the hostess was lovely. However, her colleague was extremely rude, and belittled us. When we asked how long the wait would be, the man made a comment sharing that this place "isn't like Disney World" and laughed to other staff members. We were extremely taken aback by this comment, and it made us uncomfortable. Then, a few minutes later, a different host brought us over to a table, within minutes. She was a great help! Food was good but after such a bad experience, I'm not likely to return.

Since it was lunchtime I only had two small plates. The hummus was fresh and tasty. I also had the broodje pita kaas. This was more of the thick Turkish bread rather that pita bread. The cheese in it was melted though with sautéed red onions. In the said was a yogurt dip and small salad. Overall a good experience.

I have been here before a few times and this was always a 5 star restaurant but tonight I…read moredowngraded it to 4 stars only because I was very disappointed in that the 'tong' (sand-dab) fish was fried whole with all the bones attached, usually is served without bones, ie: filet. Very little meat was on the fish. My other guests were very satisfied with their dinners: bbq spare ribs; steak; salmon poke and goat cheese salad. It does have a great vibe/atmosphere and was packed. Friendly, attentive, multi-language staff. Parking is very limited so you might have a few minutes walk. Also has quite a few bottles of wine available for purchase. All in all will still return when I'm in Wijk aan Zee..
