Overall a good experience. My dog has been coming here for quite awhile. She seems to enjoy her visits much more than when we went to other locations. She gets a standing appointment every six weeks, which is perfect for my very busy schedule. We never miss an appointment and she always gets a pretty bow or flower for her collar. read more

My dog has been groomed two other places. This grooming turned out to be very bad. My dog is a rescue and when I went to pick her up she was cowering in the corner scared. Like I said she's been groom other places and nothing like this has ever happened. I told the girl not to cut her hair because she has a secondary coat and yet she cut her hair. My dog was very scared and The Grooming was not done well at all. I do not recommend this place read more

After coming to this groomer when our groomer moved out of the area, we were happy to find someone with the area. After our first visit our one Golden's trim on her ears was just butchered. We chalked it up to a new groomer and it would grow back. Our second visit was much better and nothing really out of the ordinary. Our third visit is where everything took a turn for the worst. My wife picked up our two Golden's and was told that they trimmer down our one Golden's neck. After getting home we realized that they did more than that and actually shaved down about a 4"x4" square on the front of her neck. We never got a call prior to doing this and they were very reluctant to understand why this made us upset. While on the phone I was also told that the vet would have done the same thing, but I know that the vet would have talked with us and explained it prior to doing it. After talking on the phone it really went no where and nothing was done to really make it right. We have since cancelled our future appointments with them and will be trying another groomer in the area. I would strongly recommend not taking your pets here if you care about being contacted prior to them shaving or doing anything to your pet. read more

Buster Buddies injured my dog while grooming and when I posted a review describing what happened…read morethey were not truthful about what really occurred. I don't know if the owner was aware of what transpired because I never had a chance to even show the owner a picture of my dogs paws because the groomer was so loud and obnoxious. In the owner's written response she said I did not provide a time stamped photo. This is not true, I did provide a time stamped photo to the groomer and the groomer knows this. My dog's paws were razor burned and when I returned home with him I noticed a few spots of light blood on the floor and only then investigated further. The groomer kept yelling "you didn't say anything about his paws when you left." Yes, that is correct. I don't inspect my dog before leaving from a grooming appointment. I did not call to complain about his paws because I have never had a problem with grooming services in the past, so I decided to address it with the groomer at his next 12 week appointment. It wasn't my intention to stop using their services initially, I only wanted validation on her part to make sure it doesn't happen in the future. The groomer became verbally combative. I then left the room and went to speak with the owner and the groomer followed me. The owner implied I wanted to " make a deal". What I was looking for is reassurance that this wouldn't happen again, which I made known to the groomer. To imply anything else is wrong! The owner said absolutely nothing while the groomer continued her verbal assaults, accusing me of lying. I am now responding to Buster Buddies response of my original review because their description of the event that transpired is not correct. I wish I noticed their response sooner because I certainly would have responded. I believe both the owner and groomer handled the situation inappropriately. I was not hostile when I approached the groomer, only asking her to be more careful. I guess that was the wrong thing to say because she became belligerent and the owner allowed her to act in this manner. I would NOT recommend Buster Buddies for their grooming services.

The dog was a rare breed of dog, and they could tell she was not doing well in the selter environment. We contacted them immediately and told them we could help. I offered to take the dog into my home as a foster. The staff here was extremely friendly. By the next day I was able to make plans via email to go and pick her up. I drove the 2 hours to Portage to get her. When I got there the staff was again extrememly friendly, and it was easy to tell they all love the animals and work hard. Amazing Dog Hairstylist! I have a 5 pound Multipoo that is freaking crazy. He hates water, yes even the lightest rain, hates loud noises, and anything that has a motor, including hair dryers. Because of Chips attitude it always worried me when I would drop him off to be groomed. I worried that he would not be taken care of properly. That changed once I started taking him to Lisa. Lisa loves her job and really cares about her clients (aka dogs). She takes great pride in her work and really loves animals. I no long worry if Chip is being taken care of or not because I know he is. Lisa does a great job of handling my crazy dog. In fact I feel bad for her sometimes. Plus chip always comes home looking so handsome after his visit to Lisa. I have followed Lisa because of how great she is at her job. I would highly recommend her for your pets needs. read more

I have used Lisa's grooming services for 10+ years. She is a natural with all breeds and does excellent work. The awards she won over the years in several competitions speak for themselves. Lisa is very good with my little, sometimes very stubborn and sensitive to almost everything, yorki, I know he is in good hands. I have walking limitations and I can't tell you how grateful I am Lisa recognized this years ago and offered to come out and get my little guy from the car, then brings him back out to my car when I pick up. Monty and Daizie aren't regular dogs. Monty is a rescue and Daizie is a spoiled brat. Lisa is the only person I trust, and i believe truly cares for an animal and their personalities. Most people would call my Maltese, Monty aggressive, but I say he is on stranger danger alert 24/7... Lisa only took 5 minutes with him and instantly picked him up and said I was good to go. ( the first time I brought both dogs in) Also, to have such a pair of barkers, Lisa manages very well and maintains her composure. My dog is normally a bit growly around other dogs, not here! he loves the atmosphere and he loves Sam!!! He get's a bath and his nails done and he comes back to me looking wonderful wearing the most adorable tie smelling so fresh. His nails are prefect short, but never bleeding. He has a thick undercoat and when I get him back he doesn't shed for at least a week. It's amazing. I've tried several places and this is my go to. Very impressed. Looks like a pet beauty shop! Lisa had groomed my dog before at a different location. Tried a groomer closer to home. Guess what-I returned to Lisa. My dog is a senior dog (14 years) and when I picked him up he was socializing with the other dogs. No cage. Lisa did an excellent job and I will returning in about 8 weeks-appointment already set. I take my 2 Akita's there for grooming. They look great when they leave, they love it there too. There is really nothing else I can ask for. Also found her through the Winnegamie Dog Club so with their stamp of approval I had high confidence bringing them there. Not sure what the 1-star review is, probably a competitor. read more

I tried several groomers before finding De-Tails. Previous groomers complained about Ozzies snarky behavior. De-Tails has had no issues and Ozzie comes home looking handsome and smelling pretty. They even send him with a cute little collar each time. Todays had red stars attached to it. read more
