The food is beyond flavourful, it's balanced, expertly prepared and strong. Every dish is surprisingly better than the one before, in the end it's impossible to choose between favourites. We ordered two four-course menus (for a reasonable price), and did ourselves right in choosing two completely different roads. We had a taste of nearly half their options, and are already planning to go back with four instead of two. I would take the time to write what options you should choose, but I suggest just going there and see for yourselves. I think it might be recommended to call for a reservation beforehand, as I can imagine it can get quite busy in the weekends. DO NOT SKIP DESSERT.

Mevrouw Meijer can handle the whole package; well-componed menu, great service, great food (well prepared and high-quality groceries), friendly environment. They were very well staffed: more chefs and waiters than they actually needed even though the house was full. No need for waiting particularly long for either food or service. The chef came out from the kitchen and talked to us about the sauce. We where very satisfied when we walked from the restaurant and will definitely highly recommend this place to all of our friends. 34 Euros for a 3-course dinner is very well worth it at Mevrouw Meijer.

The cafe is quite big and also has a terrace in front of it. There are a lot of seats and tables but still they could be all taken if you come here during the weekend because it's such a popular place. You can come here for coffee with pastries, lunch with sandwiches/salads and a fresh juice or drinks and snacks. I tried a cheese cake with berry rose sauce and beetroot nut cake and they were both delicious. The coffee is also nice. The interior is lovely. Lots of plants and cute decoration and the whole place just has this super chill vibe. The staff is friendly and the prices are good. This is my new favorite place in Utrecht!

My wife and I had the chef surprise 4 course menu with wine pairing, and what a treat it was. From a very simple cheese and salad amuse bouche, smoked sea bass and mixed fish starter, an incredible house smoked duck breast (with home made fig and nut chutney) and a very interesting rabbit ragu and finally a desert collection; everything was perfect! The service was extremely attentive and each course a burst of flavor. I coupled the meal with their suggested wine tastings and loved every glass. Even the tea I ordered at the end came with a tasty biscuit and a side shooter of whip cream and butter scotch.
