I came here due to a yelp recommendation because like most westerners unaccustomed to the Spanish way of living I was hungry at about 7 pm and needed something to eat. Yay yelp to the rescue. The place was crowded and there were no seats available when I arrived. There were many small groups congregated around tables and a few couples as well. It isn't obvious how to proceed once you come in the door so I probably stood there awkwardly for a few minutes near the door before making my way to the bar to what looked to be a vacant seat. A gentleman informed me that it belonged to his girlfriend so I was forced to now stand awkwardly next to the bar. Bar tender to the rescue explaining that if I waited he was pretty sure someone would leave soon and I could order a drink while I waited. I ordered a sangria and also inquired about food but was told that I need to have an actual seat in order to order food. After nursing my drink for about 20 mins when I was about to pay and head out to find somewhere else to eat, a spot finally opened up and I was treated to the most delicious steak and potatoes and zucchini tapas. This had to be one of the most delicious things I have eaten on this vacation. When I finally vacated my seat to save a pair of new arrivals, there was a line outside of people waiting for the opportunity to eat here. I might chance it again before I leave Seville. I highly recommend for the food and friendly waiters but wish there was a way to turn seats over more quickly. One guy kept insisting he was saving his girlfriend's seat but in the 90 mins I spent there she never showed up. Who knows if she ever existed. Bread comes free with your tapas order and really complimented the meal.

Beware - They will Rip You Off…read more We had planned our own tapas walking tour for one evening. We visited the first restaurant and shared 3 tapas dishes, everything in that restaurant was perfect. Second on our list was Las Golondrinas de Triana. We entered the restaurant and were told that the only place we could sit was "out the back", this was fine as the restaurant was fairly busy, although the waiter was fairly rude about it. When we sat down, we were told to quickly move as we were only 5 people and they wanted that space for 6 people - again no problem there. Another waiter came over and took our order. He claimed that he spoke very little English and so I pointed to the 3 dishes that we wanted and made it extremely clear that we were ordering from the Tapas side of the menu. He asked if we were sharing and I said "yes, we are on a tapas tour". Ten minutes later we received the food and drinks. We then asked (in Spanish) for the bill, this is when the problem occurred. Tapas dishes are around €5 per dish, we ordered 3 dishes and 4 beers and a coke. The bill came to over €88. I found our waiter and told him there was an issue will the bill, he then responded in perfect English, "I assumed you wanted the Platos dishes as you were sharing". The Platos dishes for what we had ranged from €20 to €27.50 each dish. We told him that we didn't order the large dishes, but he repeated that he "assumed" that we wanted them. He then claimed that he didn't speak English and asked his colleague to come over and speak to us. He colleague mentioned four times that the first waiter had admitted to him that he got it wrong by assuming. We thanked the colleague for saying this and asked them to remove the difference in cost from the bill - he flatly refused and told us that we ate it, so we need to pay for it. Now, having never been to this restaurant before, we had no idea on their portion sizes, also their Platos are not full dishes, you would need 2 for one person. After 5 minutes of the second waiter telling us that he couldn't subtract anything from the bill, the original waiter (who made the mistake), throw a new bill at me, with the costs of the drinks removed. We thanked them for doing that, but asked for more to be taken off, they refused. We then decided that we were wasting our time and so paid the still inflated bill and left. This episode ruined our evening. The food was ok. The atmosphere in the restaurant bad due to the staff rushing about, and the staff are rude.

Although we still got right to business..... Delicious food. A great variety of dishes in the menu for all tastes including lots of exotic and yummy treats. Major props to the waiter who advised us against our post-work hunger-induced ordering frenzy. We cancelled one thing and he put our order into a sequence on his pad with a question mark beside the last tapa in case we got too full. We powered on but ended up struggling with the last dish. So he did know best in the end. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating and very efficient and relaxed simultaneously. They were on hand when we had questions and didn't rush us out the door even though we were the last to leave late on a Tuesday night. My recommendations are the biryani and the tagine de albondigas.... caution though....They're both very filling and quite rich. We ordered 5 tapas and 5 drinks between 2 and paid 16euro each. We left feeling super full so we could probably have knocked that last dish off the menu, saved a fiver and still been raving about the place..... so overall I'd say the place is pretty amazing! I'm going back with some visitors this weekend!
