We had four different wines and learned about the differences between Ribera and Rioja wines. I have always been a fan of Rioja and we had a delightful that was called Xanum Vinae Rioja. It was fantastic. We had a type of manchego cheese with the first two less aged wines and went on to a stronger cheese once we had two more aged wines. I strongly suggest going to a tasting! I had a good conversation (in Spanish) with the guy who was working there (the guy in the pic with the woman, both of them with aprons on). We returned the next day to buy some things to bring back to our hotel and eat. I had another good conversation with the same guy (who appeared to remember me), and everything we bought to eat and drink was top notch. The next time we're in Sevila we'll definitely return to Ueno and give them more of our business.

Although we still got right to business..... Delicious food. A great variety of dishes in the menu for all tastes including lots of exotic and yummy treats. Major props to the waiter who advised us against our post-work hunger-induced ordering frenzy. We cancelled one thing and he put our order into a sequence on his pad with a question mark beside the last tapa in case we got too full. We powered on but ended up struggling with the last dish. So he did know best in the end. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating and very efficient and relaxed simultaneously. They were on hand when we had questions and didn't rush us out the door even though we were the last to leave late on a Tuesday night. My recommendations are the biryani and the tagine de albondigas.... caution though....They're both very filling and quite rich. We ordered 5 tapas and 5 drinks between 2 and paid 16euro each. We left feeling super full so we could probably have knocked that last dish off the menu, saved a fiver and still been raving about the place..... so overall I'd say the place is pretty amazing! I'm going back with some visitors this weekend!
