I'm pretty bitchy…read more My husband and I went to Tico's recently because my sweet cousin invited a big group of her friends and family there on the evening prior to her wedding. It was a Friday. There were a lot of people there. I can imagine this may have been a little discouraging for the server because our entire party didn't arrive at the same time. However, we did arrive within 20 minutes of each other. There were 16 total, including like, 5 or 6 kids, who all chose to sit at a booth across the room, YAY! :P I had a pinot gris which was especially good considering it was a house wine. I was caught by surprise. My husband had a beer and then one of their signature margaritas, which was exceptional. For food, I had the chile rellenos. I get cranky with these because they're breaded and there's nothing worse than soggy breading. It just wasn't. The breading wasn't crunchy, but it wasn't soggy. The peppers were mild, so probably a Poblano, & very tasty. The beans & rice weren't exceptional but to my knowledge beans & rice aren't traditionally served with chile rellenos in a Mexican dish. I like having beans & rice because honestly the leftovers make for a super satisfying breakfast. These were no different. There's lots of things to be said about the service industry today, but at Tico's on Friday, our server HUSTLED. She did a really nice job and kept her smile on. I don't feel like servers should have to hustle to get their jobs done, and actually when they do, it makes me uncomfortable. When I see servers who are clearly tired or hot, I feel like I would rather slip them a secret cash tip rather than tip on the card. I'm really sorry I didn't catch her name. My complaints are only that they tried to seat 16 people at two tables which only had enough room for 12, and it was noisy. Full disclosure, noise is a regular problem for me because I'm hearing impaired and too much noise makes it difficult for my hearing aids to filter out the background in order to hear conversations. I'd be glad to go back to this Tico's the next time I visit my cousins.

I don't know but service was horrible. Sat for 10+ minutes before the gal took our drink order. By then, we just ordered our food. Didn't want to wait that long to order food. Food came timely and it was excellent. Waitress never did check back or she would have seen my soda was empty. I ran out of my Diet Pepsi and was never given a refill. I had my glass sitting on the edge of the table and several waiters walked by it. Our waitress finally came by with the bill and took my glass to refill - I never did get a Diet Pepsi refill. This is the smallest tip I've given in a long time but it was more than she deserved! Don't know if we'll be back or not. Lincoln has several good Mexican restaurants. Dine at your risk.

We tried to go back with most of the tacos still on the plate to see if we could get a refund, but instead were greeted by a rude cashier at the drive-through. When we told him what had happened, he immediately responded, "la carne es de hoy," when you can literally smell that the meat was not right. We repeated that it was not edible and asked for our money back and were told that he would not be doing that and to come back tomorrow to talk to the manager. The guy at the drive-through said his name was Juan but not really sure if that's his real name, but it's the name he gave us. ****Update**** Went back the next day and they did refund us our money. Haven't had any issues before, other than last night, so that's why I'm also updating the 1 star up to a 4.

It's a small location, but still has a good amount of seating inside. The lady at the front counter was really nice. I love that the Tacos on Tuesday are 99 cents each!!! At first, I ordered two chicken tacos and a medium fountain drink for my friend per his request and I got 2 chicken and 2 ground beef tacos for myself. The tacos here were super yummy. One thing I noticed different about this D'Leon's compared to all others is that their salsas were much less spicier here! I love spice, but not overbearing. The salsas here were perfect! We finished our tacos and when my friend went to the restroom, I ordered 2 more beef tacos for myself and 2 more chicken tacos for my friend. I sneak attacked him as he didn't expect. Total taco count... my friend 4, me 6! Another successful Taco Tuesday! I appreciate a clean restaurant with clean restroom! I definitely recommend this place. Whenever I am close by, I would stop in again for sure!

I love discovering restaurants that are so confident in the quality of their food and service that…read morethey don't worry much about location or appearances. They know that if the food is exceptional and customers have a great experience, word will spread. That's exactly what Pancho Villa Mexican Grill is doing in Lincoln. In a city of nearly 300,000 people with countless Mexican restaurant options, Pancho Villa stands out the best possible way -- through incredible flavor. Taste is clearly their calling card. Owners Eli and Lisa Santana recently celebrated 16 years in business, and it's easy to see why they've built such a loyal following. The restaurant is family-run, with their children helping alongside them, and their passion for serving great food comes through in every part of the experience. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30 p.m., after the lunch rush. I ordered the Guadalajara-style tacos -- soft corn tortillas filled with flavorful carne asada, onion, and cilantro. The tacos were excellent, but the true stars of the meal were the red and green salsas. Both were incredibly fresh, packed with flavor, and had just the right amount of heat and spice. They were so good that I actually returned the following week just to order salsa to take home. Pancho Villa can be a little tricky to find, but Google Maps will get you there. And much like their namesake, Pancho Villa, they may not be the easiest to track down -- but once you do, you'll be very glad you made the effort. Fantastic, authentic, flavor-packed Mexican food. In the end, that's what matters most!

Our server was laidback and chill. Beautiful mural on one wall and a combination of booths and tables. They have a full bar and offer a variety of alcoholic drinks, beer, hard liquor and cocktails. We chose to go non alcoholic. Hubby had a diet coke and i had a glass of unsweetened iced tea. Drinks arrived quickly. My iced tea was very light almost like water. Salsa was not spicy enough but chips were crispy. Our food came within 10 minutes. I ordered grilled mahi tacos. The mini soft shell tacos came in a metal taco holder. Soft shells were soft and moist. And the grilled fish was fresh. It was not over filled and had a good balance. The sauce that came was delicious pinepple habanero sauce was to die for. I wished they would be like some other mexican reataurants that provided two options for salsa- a less spicy and one that kicked up a notch. However, that said- we did enjoy our food. We will be back.
