I was visiting Lincoln last week for a basketball tournament. One morning my coworker text me and asks me if I wanted anything from De Leon's Mexican Food. I looked at the menu and saw a lot of items that I wanted to try. I decided to get the Nebraska breakfast burrito which was amazing. It had asada, eggs, potatoes, and cheese which is very simple but was done really well. The burritos proportions of egg, asada, and potato were great and every bite had everything in it without any effort. My coworker said he always orders the chile relleno burrito and he loves it. I can confirm that he ordered that same burrito on this day and he ate it and loved it. I did not get to experience the ambiance or the service at this restaurant. But I know many people that have been going to De Leon's for years and have loved it the entire time. I would assume that with this kind of love and support the owners and staff members are doing an amazing job. I will definitely be visiting De Leon's whenever I am visiting Lincoln. read more

This place is really good. I walked in around 11:30 am and the place was empty and I immediately thought "oh shit". It's never a good sign to find a restaurant empty. I ordered the Beef Tostada and Chicken Enchilada combo with rice and beans. Well after receiving my order the people started pouring in nonstop and I immediately thought "damn I came at the right time" lol. Caught me off guard. Was not expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. I had the Arizona burrito and was not disappointed.

Worst service I have had in a long time. Lady walked away when I was ordering. My wife's food came out wrong. Not even an apology. When eating my wife had a hair in her food. She brought it to the lady's attention. Again no apology, just asked if we wanted her to throw it away. I watched one of the cooks pull his phone out of his pocket and not change his gloves and continued to prepare food. Horrible customer service. Forgot a burrito in the order. Had to drive back from out of town to get the missing burrito. They did not offer anything for this mistake. Also, the bill was $50 and we were adding up everything to see how it was that high. They charged over $6 fee because we used a debit card instead of cash. read more

This is a nice little Mexican food joint that is located in a shopping plaza with quite of variety of different stores. Went in for a quick bite to try it out. Employees were friendly & had good customer service. The taste of the food reminded me of "Beto's" for those of you who are familiar with it. So the food tasted great not much complaints besides that my rolled tacos could've been a tad bit warmer. But one of the things that I enjoyed the most about this Mexican restaurant that I wish most would start doing... It's that there salsa bar had actual "FRESH" blended guacamole that tasted amazing with a bit of spiciness. That made me definitely want to come back to this place. I was surprised how expensive this Mexican restaurant was. I didn't like eating off of styrofoam plates with flimsy plastic forks and knife. Refills cost $1 extra. My husband ordered #6 smothered burrito in beef. It was really spicy. I ordered the deluxe burrito in grilled chicken. The smothered burrito was tasty. I had a hard time eating the food with the tiny table. My husband's tacos were tiny (he ordered the regular sized tacos). I would hate to see what the mini taco looked like I did take 1 of my burritos home. I even had to put my trash in the waste basket. No chips accompanied the meal. I couldn't find the site for the North 48th Street location in Lincoln so I'm going to rate Deleon's here. I started buying food from the original Deleon's out on West O Street in Lincoln and the food was always wonderful. Two days ago I ordered the #7, my favorite, which is two beef (or chicken) burritos, a scoop of refried beans, and Spanish rice. The burritos were TERRIBLE. There was very little filling and little to no seasoning. The meat was so mushy I wasn't sure what it was. If this is what they're now selling I will not go back here. I'm giving it one star because the beans and rice were decent. I totally regret spending $9.99 (plus tax, total $10.94) for something I threw out. read more

this review is based on the n 27th st location only.i always get the same time i go atleast 2-3 times a month. 10-20 mini tacos steak and cheese only. always n 27th or 48th location. i purchase for my self and one other person. today was no different. same routine since i moved to lincoln 3 years ago , never a problem , when it was they fixed right away no issue. today was different. my order was the same. a girl i had never seen was on drive thru on 27th st. my order was wrong. i take it back and address it. they tell me they wont fix it. so i leave the wrong food there , go to 48th st order the exact same thing , my order was correct. never again will i visit the 27th st location . if i cant go to the 48th st location i will go to another place to eat. de leons lost a portion of my business because of those employees at that location. read more
