We've had a great experience with Essa, and we're feeling so thankful that we found him and…read morereceived his help in our home! We definitely recommend him to any of our friends and family! He always arrived on time first thing in the morning, the projects were completed when he estimated they would be done, and the work is well done and beautiful. He cleans the space nicely when the project is finished. He is a straightforward and responsive communicator and offers a fair price. I also really appreciate that he easily helps out where needed, like helping to move furniture or doing smaller repairs. Over the past five years we've done multiple home improvement projects with three different contractors before Essa and each time the projects ended with frustration and disappointment, each time for different reasons, and it left us feeling always worried we could never find someone new who is trustworthy, on time, and delivers well done work. Essa was all of those things for us, and we have now hired him on three recent projects, two large projects (floor installation for entire floor of our home and opening an outdoor stair and drain and replacing everything) and also a collection of small repairs, painting, and installations around our home, and all has gone well and looks great! Thank you Essa! We will definitely be in touch for any help needed in our home in the future!

This is the second time I've worked with Fence Pro and they remain a high quality vendor and are experts about al things fences, decks and anything with wood. About ten years ago, they helped build a fence on either side of our home and we were very pleased. On that project, they ensured that both neighbors were happy with the final product and because of their wonderful work, the neighbor ended up using them to complete a new deck off of their bedroom. They just completed a beautiful deck off of our dining room a few weeks ago and it came out gorgeous! The whole family loves the deck and even the (indoor) cats have ventured out to admire the new deck. (See photos of deck in Redwood City). They also helped me to pick out some shading panels and it was the first time (for both of us) working with this panel vendor and Tim ensured it was a smooth process for installation. The shading panels are elegant and are a nice final touch to the wood. I can't say enough good things about this team! The team is top notch and we really enjoyed working with everyone. Thank you to Fence Pro!

I had Fencepro replace part of my fence and retaining wall in 2010…read more I never got any type of warranty from them and after 6-7 years the fence/retaining wall started to lean. When I called and left a message a receptionist replied back that there should have been a warranty. There wasn't any with the original contract that we signed. I recently called them up and mentioned the I did not know about the 10 year warranty and it's now 15 years later. I spoke with Fencepro owner and he told me that even if I had a warranty it was the material that went bad. Since I hired another contractor and who incidentally just had finished a similar fence on the other side of our house that has both a fence and a longer retaining wall which lasted more than 30 years. It was built with some thought and ingenuity that FencePro lacks. They put in a simple system to drain the water to the street and put plastic on the posts just above and below ground to help protect the wood. They realize that wood easily rots when they get wet! When they removed the posts there was minimal wear on the 30 year old posts. On the side Fencepro did, the wood was completely rotten since no other measures were were take to insure its longevity. They may do a job quickly, but I believe they lack expertise in building quality retaining walls. I recommend that you find someone who ismore qualified, and is quality conscienous that knows how to build and make a lasting retaining wall! Below are my pictures. Judge for yourself!

PLEASE READ: update on reviews:…read more Please see my post below, which I had taken down because Danny came back on 5/25/2022 and did half of the work, collected more money ($14,500 total so far), and promised to return to finish the work once he receives the glass shipment. Since then he hasn't returned, giving reasons ranging from being in a car accident to being in jail to being evicted. But the last two months he has just been radio silent despite multiple attempts to contact him. I wish I could be putting up a better review because he does good work, but if you still see this post still it means that he hasn't come back to finish the work. In my book, he's a con-artist until proven otherwise. 4/23/2022 update: Still absolutely no progress. Got a text from Daniyar Tuyakbayev last week: "please give me time until the 27th or I'll refund you. Sorry for the delay, out of my control. Hope you understand. Thanks." I will update again after the 27th to let you know how honest and trustworthy he is. --- Suspecting a Fraud in Progress Similar to Nir B's experience, I am getting the delaying tactics. Daniyar Tuyakbayev (from Aesthetic Metals or Glass Railing Doctor) visited my house in January 2022, collected $8,500 (half of the total estimate) to order the glass panels for my deck railing, and promised 2-4 weeks to completion in writing. Since then he has not started the work, blaming supply chain issues with the glass industry but refusing to provide any proof that the glass panels have actually been ordered. I am filing a complaint to the county attorney's office to investigate a possible fraud. I will provide updates to this post if there is any progress, and would be happy to retract this review if the work actually gets done or when I get refunded. But if you still see this post, it means that the work hasn't gotten started, I'm still $8,500 down, and please don't fall for a possible fraud.

In addition rust is already showing through the painted steel they installed. Some bolts are missing and the gate lock doesn't work or fit the gate frame. We have had the remedial work quoted by another contractor. They quoted $3,700 to paint the railings and 'make good' the unfinished work. We have tried to contact Dan Tuyakbayev of Aesthetic Metals several times. He said he would finish the work. He agreed its of poor quality and not finished. He has failed to complete the work, contact us or turn up. This has gone on for months and is deeply frustrating. We have requested a refund several times. He has not refunded us or completed the work. Some of his email replies have been threatening, untrue and unprofessional. I would not recommend anyone to use this company.
