If you're looking for welding or similar metalwork, your search is over. Go here…read more I recently bought an old steel bike frame with a very poor repair to one of the joints: there was barely any metal holding the joint together, and there was a hole melted in one of the tubes. I was concerned that it'd be hard to get the joint properly repaired, and/or prohibitively expensive. I stopped by Custom Metal Manufacturing around opening time. The workshop is a treasure trove: minibikes, custom signs, and sculptures everywhere. Ed and Gerard were super friendly and great storytellers. Ed looked at the frame, said "I can fix that", and fired up his welding gear right away. Ten minutes of good conversation later the work was done, and at a very reasonable price. The joint is now reinforced with ample steel, and the hole is closed up. Everything I hoped for and more.

He came to us with samples of all his railings. Being able to see the finished product helped us decide what style we wanted. We ended up changing our mind after seeing the samples, so this was really helpful to us. Later on, he came out to measure multiple times--before and after the floors were down--to make sure everything was perfect. He matched the wood to our floor in to help create a seamless look. He was super careful when he installed them not to damage any of the new construction. Everything came out perfectly. The glass railings look beautiful and well worth the investment. I would highly recommend Joey.

Honestly just really good people to work with. A lot of shops don't want to bother with small random repair jobs like this, but they took the time to help me out and never made it feel like I was wasting their time. I originally asked for 3 legs and they ended up making all 4 without changing the price. They even painted them even though I told them not to worry about it because I was trying to keep the cost down. The whole thing felt more like working with trusted friends than a business transaction. Very high trust, very personal, and you can tell they actually care about the quality of their work and helping people out. Now I'm walking around the house looking for random things that need welding and I probably should stop Really glad I found them.

Inherited my childhood home recently and knew that both the roof and furnace were very old…read more During the HEAVY rain storm 2021 October, both the furnace (stopped working) and roof leaked. Called around and the most responsive was Izmirian for both issues. Denise took the call and provided excellent information for both in regards to their availability and pricing over the phone. Issue was of course all of their repair crews were out there Denise called back the next day with a schedule for the furnace repair and took the first available time slot. Two guys showed up early and took one look to know what was the most likely. Said if it was the issue, they had a new replacement in the truck. They bypassed the controller and had it running so they could test the rest of the furnace. 30 minutes from door knock to driving away. Pails compared to the first call to the firm with a label on the furnace. They said 6-8 weeks and wouldn't book an appointment...just said "will get back to you then" Roof leak, Denise called back a few days after the first call with availability for this week, 2021 Nov 01. Took the Wednesday slot. Two workmen showed up early and applied 3 patches in 20 minutes. Plus they said they will have someone come out to bid on a new roof for that section of the house (the flat roof portion) Am extremely happy and recommend Izmirian roofing and furnace service

Most recently, I had water leaking into my kitchen during heavy rain. This would always be a concern, but it was a few days before Christmas, and I had travel plans. So, if I couldn't get the leak fixed, it might lead to increasing damage, or even canceling a trip. Izmirian sent two of their team out the same morning to assess the problem. I liked how they discussed the potential causes and acknowledged that we couldn't be sure where the water was entering. They sealed flashing and the attachment holes for nearby downspouts. They then tested the fix thoroughly by cascading water from a hose. No more leaks. When I subsequently got an invoice in the mail, it was entirely reasonable and clear. Thank you Izmirian for fixing my problem quickly and helping me avoid major stress over the holidays.

We used Starco for several different projects during our recent renovation, from beautiful huge…read morecorten steel planters to custom brackets and hardware for benches and sheds. They seem to be able to make anything. They were great to work with because they were extremely professional, pieces delivered on time and made exactly to spec. Very friendly to talk to, they don't just make the piece you ask for but also help you with trade-offs for functionality and economy of cost. Two examples: - We wanted our steel planters a certain size to fit our landscaping, and the answer was "sure, here's the cost, but if they were 4 inches shorter in this dimension it would be half as much because we could cut the pieces from such-and-such a size of plate without waste". - After our custom brackets for benches were made our contractor messed up the concrete pour for the wall the brackets were installed in. Starco helped us figure out how to use the brackets in a different way, advising about concrete mounting, so the benches worked out great. Then near the end of our renovation I needed a big iron support bar welded in a certain shape for a desk support. They just made it for free!
