My daughter has been attending the daycare for about 6months now and we love it. The waitlist was definitely worth it. She is our first daughter and we were so nervous to put her in daycare but we absolutely LOVE De Colores. From the caring teachers, office and owner. They have activities and go above and beyond. The teachers here are very unprofessional and rude. My daughter has been in this daycare since August of last year and we have had several problems regarding the staff and childcare at this facility. To list a few occurrences, my daughter fell down at home and her face had a bruise from the incident. The teacher texted me and said "you really sent your daughter to daycare with a bruise on her face" after I already explained to the staff what occurred. They proceeded to contact CPS on me which caused unnecessary stress on my family. Second, my son would ring us in to the facility which some staff would allow him to do but when Melissa saw him do this, she reported us to workforce. Third, my mom would come with me to drop off my daughter and since she was on a phone call, the staff decided to say she was recording the facility and reported that as well. Lastly, I went to pick up my daughter and I heard a staff member yelling at a child and scaring them in the play area, when I approached the manager she said "I will talk to her about it" who knows if anything was even done. This lack of professionalism and human decency/compassion for children and their families should be thoroughly investigated. I would not trust my dog at this daycare let alone my child. I have removed my daughter from this facility and I recommend no one places their child in the care of these so called "child care" employees. read more

My precious little boy attended this day care/school for 18 months. There are few places that still welcome kids with hugs, make the parents feel like part of the family, and have staff who actually like their jobs. Ms Paty and her husband are excellent leaders. The teachers are friendly and engaging. There are plenty of fun activities for kids and plenty of ways for parents to get involved. My son learned a lot of Spanish and was well taken care of here. We we have felt so blessed and grateful for De Colores. The teachers and staff treat my daughter very well. At home we see that she is learning Spanish and normal preschool topics. She is excited when I drop her off in the morning. I love the special activities and events the staff puts on. I highly recommend this preschool! read more

If I could give this "pre-school" no stars I would. I waited a few days until I had cooled down to write this review. About 3 weeks ago I enrolled my 2 year old son to attend four days out of the week. On his second day when I picked him up he had a red mark in the middle of his forehead. When I asked the "teachers" what happened to him they didn't even know he had an accident. They told me they didn't know and that only a few minutes ago he didn't have it. I let it go however the mark turned into a bruise that took a week to go away. Well during his second week when I showed up to pick him up I immediately noticed a bloody lip. Yes bloody! I freaked out and the teachers AGAIN told me they didn't know what happened. They tried telling me that it was from the paint they had been using during class and that he must have ate some. I had several issues with that sentence in itself. Like, Why are you allowing the children to eat the paint? I demanded the camera footage be pulled because I could not stand for another "I don't know". I expect certain care and treatment for not only my child but for all of the children. After cleaning his lip with some water it was clearly visible that he had in fact received and injury. The supervisor, Paty, said she would review the footage and let me know if she saw anything. Well of course I didn't hear a thing from her at all afterwards. I expected a phone call to let me know he was hurt. His previous daycares would call me for even the smallest of things. So to show up and have him hurt on TWO different occasions was unsettling. Fast forward to week 3, my child was sick since picking him up on that previous Thursday. Well he missed Monday due to it and on Tuesday when I showed up we had a disagreement about yet another thing. What broke the camels back was that she asked me why my child was sick. I simply replied whatever is going around in his classroom finally got to him. (I had observed since his first day that there were several children with running noses and bad coughs.) It's understandable. She took a tone with me and gave me an attitude and stated "Mrs.Stewart do not raise false accusations." I was not raising false accusations I was simply stating that my best guess was he got sick from being there. My child had not been anywhere except from home to school and back that's it. Any competent individual could of made that guess. She tried to tell me that If children were actually sick they wouldn't be at daycare and that no other kids had missed a day. I said well I have had to wipe other children's noses and hands when I have dropped and picked up my child on multiple days because their snot was literally in their mouths. I would sit with my child in class for a minimum of 10 minutes before leaving him and would hear the congestion and coughs. She said that wasn't the case and I simply said it is but don't worry my child will no longer be coming here. Not sure how often they are required to change diapers but I intentionally only took 12 diapers the first day to Gauge how many he would be going through. He was at daycare 8 hours daily and it wasn't until the 4th day that they asked me to bring more. These are the main issues that occurred. Some of the other things I noticed and experienced were that anytime I asked a question I was answered with an attitude by the other lady that sits in the front. I also noticed from the very first time that me and my husband went for a tour we were treated and greeted differently than many others and that treatment continued throughout. I am Mexican and my husband is Black, we are both Marine Veterans. We do speak Spanish as well so language was never a barrier. We were both very excited to have our child attend, but our experience was very unpleasant, honestly it was TERRIBLE. Do not take your children here! - There is not enough management to tend to all the children. - The fence in the back where the children are taken to play outside is unsecure. Anyone on the opposite side could lure a child and reach over and take them. - The toddler classroom is not very clean nor organized. read more
