I've been a customer for years and was curious about what this meant for one of my favorite stores. Happily, The Container Store has not lost any of its organizational charm. Inventory seems to have lessened a little, but I could still find familiar products and categories. At the time of my visit, there was a 30% off Store-wide sale on all products, except their signature elfa shelving units, I think. That's a pretty good sale for The Container Store! I also found a 60% off section and a Clearance 70% off area in the far back corner of the store. I ended up buying a collapsible hamper bag for only $8.79. Did I see a presence of Bed Bath & Beyond? Besides the signage on the automatic sliding front glass doors, perhaps a little bit, but not enough to recall. Maybe some furniture and sheets? I dunno. Customer service has always been friendly, helpful and available. Will I return? You betcha!

When my friend went to pay she was told the item she was buying was not 25% off as it's a new item (saute pan). She told the cashier there was a sign saying everything is 25% off, he offered her a 20% discount if she agreed to signing up for emails. She did not agree. This was poorly handled, they should have honored the posted sign. As a result, we left unhappy with a foul taste and will probably not go back, going to Santana Row is already a hassle with having to pay for parking.

I tend to browse the aisles and see what is currently merchandised and priced. Yes, there are things I could use at home that would enhance my organization, but I probably need to go in with at least some dimensions and a vision which would help make things easier. I usually come out with a few trial items or things mainly for extra storage for clothing, swimwear, kitchen, gear, and travel. The Container Store is being acquired by Bed, Bath, & Beyond. They're making some shelf / retail space in the store for some of BBB's products. I appreciate how they sell Cadence because I have seen them online, but never in person. They are pretty pricey, but I can see how they could be beneficial for traveling. No, I have yet to try them myself. I like they are magnetic and are offered in various fun colors. Look into coupons that could be used now that they're going to be a part of BBB. Can't wait to see how they make the floor plan and what merch they decide to offer.

I'll add more pictures. Truly, I'm so happy with the end result. It took 4 days of construction and one day for delivery of items. They did forget to order the shelves for the Elfa portion of our order so that is why the garage is not done yet. I also ordered and paid for jewelry storage that came in the wrong size so that is something that was delayed. We original had some work for our laundry room but they would have had to move our washer and dryer and that would have been too troublesome. Overall, I liked the result. Whoever the CEO is should be fired immediately. The Board of Directors, if there is one, should be ashamed of their negligence and they should also all be fired. This store, in one of the richest communities in the United States in the middle of one of the nicest shopping centers, looks like a dollar tree store. I just overheard one customer asking a sales associate associates "are you going out of business or something" I do believe the store is in bankruptcy, I am not sure but yes, it definitely reads that way. The associates are taxed tired, they seem on the verge of tears. There is shit everywhere! There's a big dump of hideous Halloween merchandise on top of heavily marked down dorm merchandise, surrounded by boxes and boxes and boxes of shoe storage (and I mean 50 to 100 boxes of shoe storage sitting in the middle of the store). This yelp review actually is not on this store manager. I've been in retail long enough to know that everything trickles down. This is a the result of a complete lack of leadership and I am just sorry for everyone who works here. And if you are ever reading this, any of you executives in Dallas, wake up! Open your eyes! The amount of money being spent in this community on new construction, remodeling, closet, organizing, stylists.... It's INSANE! I wanted my wife and I to digest what really happened. I wanted to determine if the ladies of "Organized Life" really did what I paid them to do. First, let me preface by saying if you are a horder, you may have a difficult time with their service. They are not there to go through every piece of garbage you may find valuable and also be your therapist. That would take FOREVER, and this isn't a reality TV show. However, what it is, is a superb service. If you have found yourself living comfortably numb, and have just accumulated STUFF over the years and realize one day that it is time to make a change. They are the crew to help you purge and organize. Molly, Marie and the 3rd girl's name eludes me. For that I sincerely apologize because she was no less outstanding. These young ladies came in, assessed and got busy. We hired them to clear and organize our garage that we used as a storage for years. Stuff we had not touched in 15 years. Some new, but most old. One of the best things I think that this crew possesses is the ability to relate to the homeowner in such a way that the homeowner is not feeling trampled upon, BUT at the same time respectfully probing and prodding to move the process of purging along. Nobody wants to get rid of things they find value in, but if you haven't touched the stuff in several years, what are you really doing? Our reason to hire these ladies was two fold. 1st, we want to prepare to buy another house and move. 2nd, we have gotten older and our bodies physically don't hold up to continously, non stop physical labor as they once did. Needless to say, these ladies had our garage cleared out in about 1.5hrs...maybe an hour and twenty minutes and ready for my wife and I to sift and sort. The sifting and sorting is ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY what takes the longest in the entire process. I can honestly say these girls did in a day what would have probably taken months for my wife and I to finish ourselves...if at all. These girls NAILED IT! Between working and school full time, combining two homes, and kids coming home from college I couldn't catch up. When I would try to organize and put things away I wouldn't know where to start. These wonderful ladies came in and lifted so much stress off my shoulders. Everything has its place, they found things I forgot I had and purged what I didn't need.
