My experience at De Beauty Salon started with a gift certificate. Since then, it has become a regular part of my beauty routine. The estheticians are fabulous. Between facials and massages, I glow. At my age that's not easy to accomplish. And to top all that, the receptionists are great, too.

Elevator to get from floor to floor

This review is solely for the Spa part. I purchased a Groupon for a 60-minute custom body scrub with hydrating treatment. I had passed De Beaute many times, and this was my excuse to finally go. I called to schedule an appointment, which was a breeze. They also followed up with a confirming text message, reminder text, and thank you for visiting text which I did not mind receiving. The parking lot is off of W Grand Ave and has ample spots. I walked up to the reception desk, on the ground floor, and was warmly greeted by all four ladies behind the desk. I was given a slip with the type of treatment I'd be receiving on it and told to proceed to the second floor. They have an elevator, which makes it easy to get from floor to floor. When I got to the second floor, I was greeted by Kelly who showed me to the locker/changing room and to the room where I'd receive my treatment. I really liked how the second floor had the look and feel of a spa. The locker room is small, but has all the amenities you'd need. Kelly was fantastic during my body scrub treatment! She explained everything and made me feel super comfortable. For those who have never had a body scrub before (like myself), you are in your birthday suit, but are properly covered by a sheet as each part of your body gets scrubbed. You then hop into the shower, in the same room, to rinse off. The smoothest body butter was then applied the same way each part of my body was scrubbed. My skin felt so incredibly soft afterwards! I chatted with Kelly a little during the treatment, asking about their other services and what she recommends. On my way out, I received business cards for areas that I expressed interest in, and on them included a discount for when I return. I'm a sucker for saving money! I look forward to returning to try a facial and to get a massage with Kelly!

I had Nicole as my hairdresser and I did not have a good experience at all. I went in for the Brazilian blowout from Groupon and I asked to cut my hair literally ONE inch, I thought it would be $30-40 but they charged me $60 and that too for a crappy job because after I left the salon, I noticed 3 spots with uneven hair. I had to come back to get it fixed again which is not acceptable. I have never had to go back to the hair salon to fix something they should've properly done in the first place. The smell of keratin treatment for the Brazilian blowout was so strong that she had 2 fans blowing to circulate the air and she herself had a mask on so the humane thing to do would be to ask the customer if they wanted a mask themselves but she did not ask. I spoke to Daniel the manager who was absolutely great. But would not recommend Nicole at all.

Our wedding party - everyone from the bride to the bridesmaids to the mother and aunt of the bride - recently had our hair and make--up done by the amazing team of stylists at De Beaute. There were nine of us in all, and they did a fantastic job of giving everyone, especially the bride, a gorgeous look. We had to add some people at the last minute, and Kasia and Daniel were incredible about seamlessly and kindly adding them in. We are SO happy with how everything came out, and highly recommend them for your bridal party!

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Kristy A. Gonzalez at SkinSpirit. From the moment I sat down with Kristy, that uncertainty completely disappeared. She was patient, kind, and incredibly reassuring throughout the entire process, and also took the time to educate me, answered all of my questions without ever making the appointment feel rushed, and checked in with me constantly to make sure I was comfortable. It felt like she cared about me as a person, not just another appointment on the schedule. She also made sure I experienced as little discomfort as possible, which meant a lot to me as a first timer. Kristy is extremely precise and meticulous in her work, and you can immediately tell how much she cares about what she does and the people she treats. On top of all this, she is just a lovely human and I'd describe her as warm, charismatic, and someone you immediately trust off the bat. I left feeling so happy with my results and already know I'll be going back to her when it's time for touch ups. I would definitely recommend Kristy to anyone going to SkinSpirit!

I wanted to share my experience to help others make an informed decision. Unfortunately, I had…read moremultiple issues with SkinSpirit that left me frustrated and disappointed. 1. Poor communication and delays: It took me over 5 months to schedule a filler appointment last year because the manager, Mai, did not respond to my repeated emails (attached). I only got a response once I called the office, and even then, it felt like I was chasing them just to give them my business. 2. Inconsistent and misleading pricing: I was originally quoted $575 for under-eye filler in writing (attached) but was later charged $700 for the same service. This inconsistency in pricing is unacceptable, especially when it is clearly documented in their own emails. 3. Clinic-to-clinic confusion - I was quoted $1,500 for 2 syringes of PDGF in Park Ridge ($3,000 for 4), but later told by Millburn staff that their baseline price was actually $1,800 for 2 syringes. Most importantly, when I specifically asked Park Ridge if the 20% off promo at Millburn would apply to the same service and was told yes, no one told me that Millburn's pricing was higher. That critical detail should have been mentioned upfront so I could make an informed decision. Overall, between the lack of responsiveness, the long wait just to schedule, and the bait-and-switch style pricing, I cannot recommend SkinSpirit. Patients deserve transparency, consistency, and respect for their time, none of which I experienced here.
