So my hair is dry like most peoples but stylist Daniel made a cocktail for my hair and oh boy! My hair is soft like baby hair for the first time in forever and I am almost 40! There's really not much to say in great detail other than Sara is the lady you want to see when getting a facial. She has the education and 25 years of experience. What's great about Sara is she has the patience to explain what the product is doing to your skin as she applies it. After each session, she does offer Yonka products. A french skincare line. When she does have samples, she is more than happy to give them away to try. I now own two products from the hydration line. Good product for a reasonable price. As far as facial sessions, there are 1 hour sessions ($165) and 1.5 hour sessions($195). When it comes to the ambience, hard efforts on the team on having a sitting area for simple relaxation You would be happy to know there's lemon water with wine glasses as a choice. But if you prefer hot tea, enjoy a variety tea bags in a cute tea set. There is an open changing room and two private rooms for those who are not comfortable getting undressed in front of others. Plenty of parking is available and thursdays are Sara's late nights. I will be back for massages and other services. read more

Today I got my hair washed, a hair cut, protein treatment and a blow out. Today I also found the place I know I will be coming back to for my regular hair cuts. The atmosphere is amazing as well as the the quality of the service! When I was getting my hair washed the girl almost put me to sleep with the most amazing head and neck massage. Today was my first visit at De Beaute in Montvale. I was very impressed with the salon it is very beautiful and clean and the salon staff was so friendly . I went to have a gel manicure and pedicure done by Tina , she did an amazing job. Tina actually took her time and cleaned my Cuticles and gave and awesome massage. I recently moved to the area, and wanted to find a new place to get my hair cut. After purchasing a Groupon, I made an appointment with Daniel. I have super curly, poofy hair so most places layer my hair and hope it helps, which is usually doesn't! However Daniel layered it underneath instead which was a great idea! I'm happy to finally find someone who knows how to handle unruly hair. I was so happy with it, I came back the following week to get a Brazilian blowout treatment. In addition, I appreciated that Daniel wasn't trying to sell me more services. He mentioned them in a way that wasn't pushy & I was happy to find out about some options I hadn't known about. The salon itself is nice and clean and not overcrowded. A bonus is when they wash your hair, they massage your scalp! The haircut prices seem to be comparable to other nice salons. I am NEVER one to post a negative Yelp review or be picky/complain about things, but I really need to let others know about my recent experience at this salon. Let's just say, there is a reason why this place is offering all of these deals. Being a high end salon in Bergen County, I figured checking it out would not hurt, but, unfortunately, it did. I got a deal on highlights and one of the worst haircuts of my entire life. Once I got home I realized the bottom was completely uneven all over, and my "long layers" were just cut straight across, not blended in at all. To make things worse, my highlights were completely orange in the front. This was the type of haircut/color that makes you not want to leave your house. Something had to be done. Extremely upset, I called the salon once I got home, and spoke to the owner. I was told me to come in to get my hair "fixed", free of charge, the following day. Upon arrival, instead of being understanding and admitting to mistakes, the owner argued with me. She insisted that that is what layers/highlights are supposed to look like, and that it is just my hair. To further enhance the levels of professionalism within the salon, when I was taken up to get my hair corrected, I was made feel extremely uncomfortable by almost all employees. Not only was I completely ignored by the woman that previously did my hair, but the woman that fixed my hair tried to argue with me just as the owner did. Oh, and I was told it was an additional charge to dry my hair once it was "fixed". Again, I left the salon extremely unhappy, not only because my hair was barely corrected, but also because of how I was treated. All I could say is if you make a mistake as a business owner, you do everything you can to fix it and preserve your reputation. The fact that I was argued with and was told I had to pay additional charge to just simply leave the salon with dry hair after getting it "fixed" is absurd. Money is clearly the only thing important here. I will never go back to this salon. read more

This place is amazing my boyfriend has gone here for a really long time he always recommended Daniel to me and talked about how great he was. I wanted to get keratin hair treatment before our trip to mexico. My natural hair is semi straight but frizzy. When i went to get the treatment Daniel suggested that i pay extra so he would use more conditioner in my hair due to how blonde and long my hair is. Daniel really knows what he is doing and I completely trusted his professional opinion so i went with it. The treatment itself took about 3 hours it began with me getting my hair washed then he put the conditioner in my hair and brushed through it, then daniel blowdried my hair and straightened it to activate the keratin treatment. I spent a lot of time looking into different keratin treatments and what would be best for my hair this treatment stuck out to me because it is made from the acai berry. Daniel told me to keep my hair dry for 24 hours then to wash it out with the special shampoo and conditioner that I purchased at the salon. The whole experience was very pleasant and easy. Daniel made me feel at ease trusting him with my hair. My hair felt so smooth the whole day after the treatment. I was very excited to wash it and after i did It dried way less frizzy and more straight. I was able to go swimming so much more on my vacation because i wasn't worried about my hair being crazy after. I absolutely love this treatment and the salon. I found this spa to be very user unfriendly. You may only enter the driveway coming in one direction, so there's a possibility of an illegal u-turn (never done that) Then you enter the building and not one but two receptionists greet you. Wow this place is really busy. There is a list of extensive services but , if you request anything other than hair or nails you may have to come back because there is a lack of employees. I myself wanted a gel manicure. Get in the elevator to 2nd flr and much to my surprise there is one customer in the chair getting her three hairs blown out. The other stylists are doing their own hair or talking amongst themselves. There are only two nail stations. After waiting 10 mins my manicurist comes out from her lunch and we get started. I hope she doesn't have to pay for the products herself but you would think she did. My gel manicure was lame very little gel is applied .I thought it might have been a bad day for us all and made another appointment. You guessed it!! It sucked even with me guiding her a little this time. I pass this building almost every day in my travels and unless people are being dropped off by helicopter there are few if any cars in the parking lot. Maybe a real honest to goodness spa will move in there so I can make those illegal u- turns. read more

Stayed at the Marriott across the street for a wedding we attended and they recommended De Beaute. I checked out a few reviews first and was not disappointed! Nicole was wonderful. The weather was over 100 degrees and she worked her magic helping my hair stay all day and for several days afterwards. I just wish she was closer to where I live in Virginia. I have been to De Beaute twice now and I can't say enough about my experience! I normally dread getting my hair done but my visit was so great the first time, I recently went back for a second time. Getting my hair washed was more like a massage and my colorist, Daniel, really took the time to discuss with me exactly what I wanted before continuing with the appointment. This salon is pretty impressive- brand new building with 3 floors of any sort of spa treatment you could imagine. I'm not really into that stuff, so I just go for haircuts and highlights. The stylist I always see is Justine. Since I haven't done any of the spa stuff at this salon, and since she is the only stylist I've ever used there, she is really the person I'm reviewing. I've seen her for at least two years. She is considered a senior stylist and master colorist, I believe. I know she stays current with the newest techniques in both cutting and coloring hair- she is always taking classes or going to seminars in NYC to learn these techniques. I have never been unhappy with either a cut or color she's given me. My hair is extremely thick and needs to be thinned out a lot at each haircut. If a stylist doesn't do this for me, my haircut ends up looking like a mushroom in all of two weeks. However, a lot of stylists are just not good at this- they end up leaving me with tons of split and frayed ends from their bad razoring and thinning techniques or the haircut lies flat because they haven't thinned it out enough. I've never had either of those problems with Justine. She really knows what she is doing! I highly recommend her. Like I said, the salon itself seems pretty impressive and is always clean. If I were more into the spa type stuff they offer, I would guess this place would be where I'd go. But, I'm just not that girl ;) read more
