As our daughter finishes up Kindergarten at Lincoln, I figured I would take some time to share my…read moreexperiences at this fantastic school. Sending a first child off to school is of course an anxious moment for any parent and I admit I was no exception. But my anxiety was quickly relieved; the staff, teachers and principal at Lincoln have been tremendously friendly and welcoming. Perhaps my favorite aspect of Lincoln is that it is a relatively small school. Within a short time after starting school, my daughter was known not only to her own teacher, but also to the other teachers on campus and even the principal greets my daughter by name as we arrive in the morning. They say it takes a village to raise a child, and Lincoln is a part of that village. It truly has a cooperative, community feel to it. I find this a refreshing contrast to larger schools where children can get lost in the crowd. Lincoln is also blessed with caring staff, a fantastic principal, and an excellent and hard working PTA. Does the PTA fund raise too frequently? Yeah, probably. I admit it got a bit tiring. But after seeing the benefits of not only ART, but also MUSIC, PE and a full time on-site nurse, I really came to appreciate the "extras" that are provided far beyond basic education. All of these extra programs come about though the tremendous efforts of the PTA. Next year I plan to be more involved in the PTA and hope that by helping out we can make the fund raising more effective and less frequent. In closing, I want to say "thanks" to all of those who clearly pour their heart and soul into the children at Lincoln. It is much appreciated.

Nothing but positive things to say for the past two years, never once seen an instance of bullying…read moreor heard about it from my child. Since governments cut education funding, things like the Lap-A-Thon are a great way to promote community-building and get extra money for school programs. Neither the PTA nor the teachers at Lincoln have demanded or even asked me to have my child participate in door-to-door fundraising. The school also places strong focus on art and does not seem to have overbearing attitudes about homework or learning in general. It has a "comfy" and "laid back" feel that kids will enjoy. I've not once had my daughter complain about anything regarding other students or teachers. And the school plays are great!

Where do I start?? This school is the best school I have ever had interaction with. My daughter was…read morea Veteran there from K to 8th grade completed in 2022. I went to church there when it was still College Heights Christian School and my parents weren't able to afford it . I said, "My child will go there someday when I have my kids." It kept the kids as kids unlike public school is unable to do without Christ as the foundation. Today my daughter almost about to graduate HS was reunited with her City alumni at their JR High/High School Summer camp. Still good kids and the secret is Jesus and parents who invest in their children is a winning combination that goes unmatched. If you can pull it off please do it. My son attended Pre-K and was able to have his start of school with his sister that would not of been possible without this school since it's PreK to 8th now. My son loved it so much and talks about going back all the time he's now hitting 3rd grade. Unfortunately, financially it's not possible for him. it's heartbreaking to not give him the same blessings as his sister. Amazing school. 10/10

Here is why I would not enroll my children here: 1) the…read moreschool subscribes to Christian Nationalism, DT, & CK teachings despite having students and teachers of varying racial backgrounds. Students who are not loud DT supporters are automatically labeled as democrats and told that they are "not Christian" and bullied. Bullies (& their families)who commit actual ASSAULT are protected by the leaders- even with police involvement. Maga-ville, USA. 2) Unqualified teaching staff. Many teachers are not credentialed nor have they even graduated from college. They are trained at the affiliated church's "bible college" and allowed to then teach your children! New unqualified teachers (one male specifically) is being harbored at this school despite complaints from parents that he is emotionally abusive to several male students and he also allows the female students to cheat on tests. Big red flag as a mother with a daughter. Ok? This teacher has CK quotes & pictures on his walls. Bible college students live right across the street in the green apartments-right next door to the school. That made me feel Uncomfortable. The church+the bible college+apartments+school= concerning levels of cult-like vibes. 3) Campus- no library, no gym, no green spaces, no cafeteria, no locker rooms. Sketchy stairway. Across from County Jail. Large electrical wires nearby. Underwhelming. 4)Money- be prepared to pay a LOT of $$ constantly. We put down very large non-refundable deposits and then the school Changed their requirements for parent volunteering- with threats of fines for non-compliance. Lunches- we were promised handmade/homemade meals from a school parent but received expensive, mediocre, unhealthy cafeteria food. "Retreat"- you will be charged for a retreat and we were told it would be camping at Forest Home but it was sleeping on the floor in the classroom. Weird & gross. If your kid forgets their P.E. Uniform- you will Be charged $$. Lots of extra charges! Sports, teacher wishlist, fundraisers, etc etc etc. They will nickel & dime you at every juncture. Bottom line- you are better off in public school. You get a better education from credentialed teachers, better campuses/opportunities, there is better accountability for teachers & staff and it's "free". This school is mentally, emotionally, socially and physically unhealthy for kids. This is OUR PERSONAL EXPERIENCE. I would not recommend attending here- absolutely no.
