From math and science (his favorite subjects) to yoga, gardening and sports day - the school really strives to develop the whole child and their place in the world. And the camaraderie that the parents develop is great - the school board really does listen to the parents and it shows in the content of the monthly newsletters as well as some of the projects that we are asked to participate in to spruce up the school grounds. Definitely glad we are a part of this community!

One thing that has been very concerning for me is the behavior of the school administration toward the students. My daughter has often come home and complained about the way the administration speaks to the kids and how disrespectful the behavior can be. I also walk my dog in the mornings near the school while classes are in session, and more than once I have clearly heard the principal yelling at children outside. Hearing an adult speak to students that way is very uncomfortable and upsetting. Because of these experiences, I personally would not recommend this school to other families. We are currently waiting for the next school year so we can transfer our daughter to a school with a more respectful and supportive environment for students.

Not only is she given tasks and crafts that cater to her personal level, the entire school knows her name. All of the kids are supportive of each other and big buddies (upper class) are assigned to each student in her class. Myah absolutely loves her big buddy and each week they have an opportunity to connect. The Abeka learning curriculum has blessed her over the year and she has begun to read! It was so awesome to see kindergarteners gaining the confidence to speak in front of their class. As parents we are given so many opportunities to be involved! We are getting to know the families rooted here and we love that. Dr. And Mrs. Geue are amazing individuals, accessible to our every whim of need, and love each student. We dropped off two books and picked up one, but the librarian included a second mystery book, with my permission, because she wanted to give my kiddo the opportunity to read another mystery from another author. She didn't have to do this but went above and beyond to research something that she would be interested in and that was near her reading level. Every experience we have had with Ms. Hamilton Redding is meeting a woman with wonderful attitude and joy oozing from her. She does more than just her job, but she encourages my kiddo and takes the extra moment each time we see her. She is a real treasure and is a stellar example for the school!

My younger daughter attended preschool there as well. My eldest would have attended had I know about it! I have nothing but praise for all of the teachers and staff there. Always felt welcome and safe. They are constantly updating and striving to create a better and more creative academic atmosphere for their students. Both of my daughters were accepted to multiple private high schools with honors. If you're looking at preschools this is the place to start! It is in my opinion the perfect place to begin your child's education. You will not be disappointed.
