Truly goes to show the long way that anime has gone and how mainstream it is now. Back then you'd have to put in orders overseas and wait months, but now it's really affordable and accessible to everyone. But back to the review. Love stores like dd's because I just love to peruse the random stuff that they have here, including the mish mash of snacks and drinks that they have (my mom always gets my dad random Japanese peanuts and other nuts here - the ones that are meant to be put into pinatas but she cuts them out of the bags and puts them in a plastic container), household decor, plushies, and much more. Did I mention I saw a Sumikko Gurashi plushie here too? Wild. A lot of the times when I go into department stores like this (think Ross, Marshall's, etc.), it's sometimes chaos and a bit gross (people leaving trash and food everywhere) or obvious unhappy security, but this dd's is SUPER clean and decently organized. Nothing was super out of place, no random spills or trash and food everywhere. Yes it was busy and cluttered, but in a good way, meaning that there was a lot of product to look through and shop through. And you can tell it's a popular spot too seeing that there was a decent line of customers when we were checking out (2 cashiers were working at the time). Hello so the other day I wanna say I took the time to write this down and a lesson to be taught I took my family of 5 having a good time shopping around nearly spending about 500 bucks at the place when we about to pay the cashier was so rude young lady name Michelle up front with a purple star in the side of her head was so rude to my wife asked a question ignoring the fact that my wife asked her a question she ignored her it's was disappointing and disgusting I had to keep my eye on her for the rest of the time being because my wife was already pissed off that she had a attitude never will spend my hard earned money there at the place again once and last time I'll never ever go back just to prove a point if u go just try not going to the young lady and Sercurity was horrible we where trying to pay but keep look over assuming we where trying to steal I have kids and to feel like that in such a act I hope they business shuts down and hope to understand we are hard working family's and I would never wish this upon no other working family so if you plan to shop there just keep an eye and don't let no one treat u less than thank but this place needs to be shut down read more

I'll be honest - I didn't know what to expect when I walked into DD's Discounts. The area is kinda ghetto and I expected a ghetto discount store. DD's Discounts resembles Ross, and for good reason - it's a small branch of Ross stores. You'll see isles and isles of cluttered discount clothing racks and semi functional departments. I was shopping for some bibs for a baby shower and this store had a great variety for an affordable price. The ones at other retail stores like Target was just plain and pricey. They are located in the shopping plaza on the corner of Sunset and Francisquito. Ample parking lot too. read more

I rarely give her one. But this was some of the worst customer service I have ever seen. We bought over $200 worth of stuff and I asked for some help out. We were parked in the handicapped zone right near the entrance. The manager said that they had no one there that was available to help us get the stuff out. I said let me tilt the cart back and just take it outside we are parked in the handicapped zone. They said no you cannot take the cart out. The cart had a tall bar making it difficult to take the card out. The manager said there was no one available to help take it out. But I know there was a number of workers doing stock work. and even upfront there was someone organizing hangers. There was also a long line but not all the workers where helping a the registers. They should've called the worker that were doing stock work and the hangers and have them help the cashiers bags of merchandise. They need to remember customer service is job one. If you don't give good customer service they will never be back. read more

Have yet to find a DDs with good customer service. If the cashiers wouldn't be in such a rush to get to the next customer maybe they'd be able to see that there's a security tag still on clothing. Now I have to drive all the way back so they can remove the security tag that didn't even go off as we left the store. So annoyed! I have come to this DD's a few times but one thing I can't stand which never fails to amaze me is I understand that the cashiers have to be done within a certain amount of minutes because they're timed per customer but what I can't seem to understand is when one person is trying to pay how are you going to call another customer to the register when the other person whos paying is not even done yet hasn't received their receipt or their change or taken their belongings off the counter. it upsets me that I have to feel so rushed so when they call me I just wait because I don't think that's right to invade a customer's space nor make a customer feel like you're rushing them out just taking their money. Worse customer service ever!!! I bought a purse to gift to a friend, I was so confident in this purse that I was going to gift it without checking it for any damages. Thank God I checked it before sending it off as a gift because I saved myself the embarrassment of gifting a ripped purse. Imagine that! Anyways i came back to the store to return the purse without a recite because I bought the bag quick some time before noticing it was ripped so maybe lost the recite but anyway the supervisor at the time did not want to give me my money back for the ripped bag I bought at the store. This place is horrible. A friend of mine told me she had bought some scrubs there so I wanted to check them out. I took my mother there and she suffers from Chrons and ulcerative colitis. She asked for a restroom and the security guard talked to someone and sent her to the back of the store. She went back there and was told rudely that they don't have a public bathroom and she told her the security guard sent her back and she responded well it's broken today. She asked for a manager and she said she was the manager (Deanne). My mom had an accident and we left the store, she was humiliated. I couldn't believe she was sent to the back of the store only to be told she can't use the restroom, had they told her in the front or even if they had a sign posted about their public restroom policy it would have saved her the embarrassment. We ended up going to dental office a few doors down kind enough to let her use the facilities and afterward she cried in the car. read more

DDs discounts is awful. Its dirty, unorganized and the customer service is trash. We were peacefully shopping and my dad tried on a jacket and as soon as the cashier saw she stopped everything she was doing and aggressively came towards us. She looked at us as if we were stealing and told my dad to take off the jacket rudely. We did what she told us and for the rest of the time we were there she stared us like we were criminals. I have been going to this store and I'm happy with the store staff until last Friday when the store manager took care of my purchases and returns. She claimed she was the store manager but she was The meanest & rudest staff I encountered. She does not even deserve to be a cashier what more a manager as she claimed. Her name is Zerina. This happened at 9:50 PM when they are about to close that's why she did not want to accept my return because it's a lot of work for her. I hope management will do something about this & this Zerina should be reprimanded and should undergo counseling. I will start telling friends and relatives not to go to this branch . This location sucks! I went to return a shirt and basically I could not because according to their cashier (holly) it has been worn, which is untrue since it has been in my trunk the last 2 weeks. I even had the tag. I feel targeted and feel like I was treated unfairly. I am Hispanic and I feel like this happened because of how I look. I will be contacting their corporate office In the morning, this is not ok, I shop there a lot and for their employee to treat me so rudely and basically embarrass me over a 10.99 shirt is quite ridiculous. This is my go to store, for many reasons. It's well organized and always have a lot of merchandise to go threw. You can find name brand clothing/shoes for a fraction of the price. Everything they sell is extremely cheap! You can easily buy a complete outfit including shoes for under 50 bucks. The staff are always greeting customers as soon as they walk threw the door.
