I can only imagine what Christmas was like. The store was huge with decor and furnishings for every room in your home including all the outdoor decor and furniture you can think of. I was there 2 hours just strolling through every single isle and department. It's the old Kmart so you can imagine how large this place is and plenty of parking. Watch for the clearance isle in every section. There are lots of good deals. I highly recommend it. Lots to see and so many ideas to be had. The lines were short and quick. Chit-chatted with the salesperson and really enjoyed my morning.

If you've never been here before, do yourself a favor; grab a beverage and keep your afternoon wide open because you'll need the extra time to walk down the lamp aisle. Yes, there's not just one but multiple aisles dedicated to just lamps. Once you're done with the lamp aisle, head over to the pillow section, or maybe you're in the market for a new area rug, couch, tables, or art for your bare walls. There's a dedicated section for everything! Price wise It can be hit or miss. More hits than misses! Typically the seasonal stuff, Halloween, Christmas, summer, etc, are the higher priced items, but just wait until the holiday is over and you'll see price drops. We bought a brand new Christmas tree here (see pics) and it was on the a pricey side, but the quality is amazing and we really needed a new tree. Did I mention there are six aisles just for Christmas trees?! The service here is awesome and I recommend signing up for their rewards program if you plan on becoming a regular customer. They also have the same return system as Costco. No need for a receipt just bring it back, they'll look up the CC you used and do the exchange or return.

Fabric area employee and customer were talking about how they think other areas in town and the…read morepeople in those areas are g*etto and poor and full of non English speaking people. This conversation topic was extremely discourteous from both these people however very unprofessional from the employee. After about 10-15 min in line, I expressed concerns to the employee about about long wait time ( I made no comments about their inappropriate conversation). The customer decided to insert herself into the conversation. She said " this is why I don't like you people" ( I am Asian). Though I was at the store at opening at 9 am, this customer decided to try and give me the profound advice of getting to the store earlier. She stated "You should have come shopping earlier to avoid lines instead of being a B word." I don't expect a minimum wage employee to be inclined to deal with this but she could have called a manager or just offered to call for assistance. I did not feel comfortable being harassed by a repulsive, angry woman so I left. Fabric cutters were Terri Linn and Andr-a per Hobby Lobby manager. Customer service supervisor believes Terri Linn is the employee I had the most interaction with. Manager Linda states she can speak with employee but do nothing about the customer. I understand a manager only can say so much but to do NOTHING is ridiculous. If I went into Target and started harassing other customers and stating racist comments on top of calling other customers the B word, I am pretty sure someone would speak to me about it or tell me to leave if I do not calm down. Per Hobby Lobby website: "Honoring the Lord in all we do by operating the company in a manner consistent with Biblical principles. Serving our employees and their families by establishing a work environment and company policies that build character, strengthen individuals, and nurture families." Hobby Lobby on Blackstone certainly does not adhere to these values. Some of the employees really need more education on basic culture studies. It's not hard, do your job, be professional and for the customer, mind your own business. She seemed to have a lot of struggles physically and mentally so pick a struggle and work on it.

On this particular occasion, I purchased a Fanta "exotic tropical soda." $3 for one can of soda is a lot, but I was reallllly thirsty, and it was "exotic." It really is probably my favorite flavor of tropical soda I've ever tried. The store location was clean, well lit, and well organized. It was easy to find what I was looking for, which was the selection of international drinks on the back wall. Other than Fanta, World Market also carries all kinds of chips, cookies, crackers, candy, condiments, and small snacks from all around the world. The clearance section was much smaller than the one in Folsom. I'm not sure if this was due to timing, or due to a higher number of customers browsing the clearance in Fresno. The checkout line was unbearably long, especially since I was thirsty. Not sure if they were short staffed or something. But when I got to the register, the cashier was friendly and everything. This place sells plates, pots and vases straight from Mexico. There's home decor and kitchenware. The couple that work and own this store were extremely nice and helpful. I have been here a few times and each and every time they have been so friendly and take the time to help and carry heavy items for you. I got an olla to use to hold a bouquet for Mother's Day. I have also been back for the little cantaritos to use for party favors. The price is fair for such good quality items. I can't recommend this place enough. Walking in is almost like walking into a market in Mexico City, such a good vibe. Support local and shop here
