Well, the deal changed by $149 and exceeded my limit. Kermit denied what he said on the phone. It wasn't really the money as much as the disrespect. I guess it makes a difference when the owner is not on site. In fairness he sent a text offering to accept a check for the original amount if I would come back. I already spent 3 hours on this, so I countered I would have a check ready if he delivered. No answer..... I'll include my original review from my previous visits below. Awesome Yanmar dealer. I was quoted on the phone $50 and if I dropped it off, it would be ready by the end of day. I got a call about 3:30pm that the mower was ready and the price is $65 CASH ONLY. I asked why the increase in price and the front desk lady said that he had a hard time with the bolt. I said ok, I'm on my way. When I got there, the mower wasn't ready because he tipped the mower upside down and got oil in the carburetor and air filter and he was cleaning them. Another half hour passed as he finished cleaning his mess and then he helped me load my mower. When I got home, I checked the new blade and to my amazement, he installed an old blade on my mower. I paid $65 for him to clean the oil out of the carburetor and replace my good air filter with a piece of cheap foam both of which wasn't the reason I brought the mower in. I called him when I got home and was told for an additional $40, he will install a new lawn mower blade. WHAT??? That's the only reason why I brought my mower there in the first place. Oldest trick in the book...bait and switch. Don't patronize this place. They seem like tweekers.

They're the only NH dealership in town, if I had a choice I probably wouldn't do business with them. I called on Monday to discuss service. I had an implement stuck on the back of my tractor. I don't own a trailer and inquired about a service call. I was told that the service would be $125/hr and $1.80 per mile. I did not realize that the per hour charge begins when the truck leaves the shop. Not what I have experienced with other service industries. I expected the entire thing to be between $200 and $250. Maybe I should have known better? I was charged over $350 for the call. The original bill was around 390.00 but they took the "shop supplies" charge off since there were none. The service guy was here for between maybe 15 minutes, but giving the benefit of the doubt, and that I didn't check my watch, I'll say 30 min. I'm located 22 miles from the shop. In late morning traffic that's between 30-35 minutes away. That's an hour of drive time. So calculating 1.5 hours at 125 an hour is 187.50. 1.80 per mile x 44 miles round trip is roughly 80 bucks. That total, 267.50 is a lot, but based on their fees, reasonable. I called to talk to someone who identified herself as the owner. The call was fairly insulting on her part, implying that I should have just known how much it would be, because that's the way everyone works. I've never been charged travel time, but even if I were, by my estimate I was over charged by about 90 bucks. I've said my piece, I've paid my bill and bought one other item from them. Buzzfile business information website lists company revenue at around 13 million. I don't expect that my complaint or the loss of my 350.00 worth of business means much to them. It just sucks that it couldn't have gone better. When it comes to customer service, I think it pays to be kind. I realize that I was pretty frustrated when I called, but that is the nature of customer service and frankly, I was being overcharged. I really do think that my feelings about this would have been different if some concession were made to the fact that I might have had a point.

The Storage Center lists their origin as "Established in 2021", which is true to the sale of the facility. Originally this establishment was locally owned and operated as Shepherd Self Storage. I never had any issue with Shepherd Self Storage. Since The Storage Center took over operation of the facility service has declined and the cost of my unit has gone from $70/month to $132/month. My unit has been broken into twice since 2021. The lanes between the buildings are narrow and frequently blocked by other tenants accessing their units. There are lots of other places out there and I wouldn't recommend The Storage Center.
