We didn't have a standard framing shop, and this one happened to be next door to our pool place so we brought it in around late July. We were quoted about a month turn around time and a steep price of over $300. We hadn't had anything framed in a while so we agreed to the steep price just because we wanted it done right and well for this precious piece. Months went by with no luck of completion, and we were told it was due to COVID stopping linen liner production, so they were going to use a different liner color which we agreed to. More months went by, and we were finally able to pick it up a week before Christmas. We went in the shop and waited a while as the employee had to filter through many framing jobs because nothing was organized. She finally found the piece, and we left happy. We didn't take the piece out of the plastic in effort to preserve the cleanliness and not wanting to drop it but through plastic it looked fine. I just unwrapped the plastic (less than a week later), and there is dust all over the frame. The dust is so thick you could remove some with a finger swipe. We were told the $300 was so steep because of the disassembly and cleaning process to preserve the integrity of the original frame, but clearly there was no cleaning to be done. Extremely late and poorly done: Can't get much worse than that!

You can tell they actually care about artists and understand the tools we use. Their selection is huge -- from professional sign-painting and pinstriping supplies to spray paint, inks, canvases, and everything in between. It's one of those places where you walk in for one thing and end up finding five other things you didn't even know you needed. Memphis is lucky to have a place like this. Cool, huh? I used to frame my own art myself to save a little money. The hubby and I would go, make our choices and hang out at the worktables, each framing our own work. Now? Not so much. I don't have much spare time, so I generally go with option #1. A little more expensive, but worth it. The staffers at Frame Corner are super sweet and are very good at their job. If that's not enough, we asked for a high chair and she just kept sweeping and ignored us until we went to go get it (which is not a problem for us to get it but we only had a little bit of time to paint so her getting it for us would've been nice) We love painting and this was my Mother's Day gift and the staff here was just not good at all.
