If you are cool with the president, board and staff, ignoring requests to have the code of conduct…read moreenforced, and cool with them (potentially) being "on the take" (read: kick backs) from coaches who have some weird investment in off site facilities, then yeah. It's coolish. There are some GREAT coaches there. Some. Just some. But the place kinda stinks of secret handshakes and back door deals among a lot of them. The league continues to grow YOY , yet they're financially in the hole. Make the math work please. If you're signing up for ELB league and think you're going to be practicing anywhere at or near the field you'll be disappointed. They don't seem to be able set regimented schedules or secure practice time at reasonable nearby locations. It's a nightmare for working parents. It's sloppy on the management side, not nearly as bad as Heartwell Baseball, but not nearly as good as other leagues I hear about around town. The competition is good and high, so it makes for exciting ball in the upper divisions, but again, 50% of coaches think they're taking their 11-yr-old kid(s) to the MLB next year. The crowds are large which is cool....again....ish...except for the bad actors. And they're are plenty of them. And they aren't from the neighborhood.

We can't say enough good things about Coach Andre! My son absolutely loves training with him. Since…read moreworking with Coach Andre, my son has grown tremendously--not just physically, but mentally and in his confidence on the field. Every coach who watches him play takes notice. In fact, his current season coach had mandatory training sessions for the team, but actually told my son, "You don't have to come, Karter--you're already receiving top-of-the-line training." That says it all. Coach Andre is patient, intentional, and truly committed to the development of every single player. He takes time to work with each child individually, correcting technique and encouraging progress with real passion. His energy is unmatched, and the love he shows these kids is felt deeply--not just by them, but by us parents, too. My son looks up to him not only as a trainer but as a role model and leader. He's truly made an impact, and we're beyond grateful. We're locked in for life--thank you, Coach Andre, for everything you do!

I am a huge fan of RAMP Tennis! If you have a child who is serious about tennis and has a desire…read moreto get better, then this is the place for them. The coaches are very dedicated and genuinely interested in helping the kids in their program grow and improve as a junior tennis player. They make the practices enjoyable for the kids and although the kids are working hard in their drills and exercises, they are doing with with smiles on their faces. I'm the dad of a 7 year old boy who has been playing tennis for about a year and a half. We recently decided to look for a tennis clinic that offered a bit more in terms of quality of instruction and development philosophy. I happened across the Ramp Tennis website and drove the family down one Friday just to see what the program was all about. The next Monday, we returned and have been going ever since. My son is a very shy kid and usually does not like to join in activities with a bunch of kids he doesn't know. He found the coaches (and the other kids) very welcoming. He really likes his coaches and enjoys playing with the other kids who all seem to share a love for the game of tennis. The facilities are first class - it is the USTA Training Center - West located at the StubHub Center. There are a bunch of very nice hard courts and 4 green clay courts which the kids absolutely LOVE. In southern California, there are just a handful of locations where kids can get some experience on Har-tru. If you want to hear one of the coaches, Marc Lucero, talk about the program check out the following link: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/ur10snetwork/2013/05/13/parenting-aces

My child loves RAMP! When we were looking for a new tennis academy for our daughter to train, she…read morehad certain things she was looking for...she wanted an academy where she connected with the coaches, an academy with experienced coaches that would help her develop her game so that she could achieve her lofty goals, someplace where she could work hard and was pushed to work even harder, and someplace that offered positive reinforcement with a little fun mixed in. She found that all at RAMP!! What makes RAMP different from other tennis academies (and we've experienced several), is the passion, enthusiasm and dedication of the coaches. It's immediately noticeable!! It's an incredible environment for the players. The coaches are true professionals who are committed to helping each player become the best they can be! The coach-to-player ratio is low so that each player gets the opportunity to work on their specific individual needs. Our daughter always has a huge smile on her face after a RAMP practice and her tournament results are reflecting all the hard work she's putting in at RAMP! What a great combination!!!
