We want to thank Mike's Quality Painting for the…read moreoutstanding job from start to finish. What a great team! Starting with our first call and working with the Schedulers: Illyn, Judy and Katia to get the estimate done and work scheduled. They were readily available to answer questions. Sales persons Dusty and Alex who visited our home to assess the work. Dusty provided us with a very reasonable and fair price for the project. We needed to address water stains from a 2023 roof leak in three ceiling areas, as well as hairline cracks from the house settling over the last 22 years. The team arrived promptly at 8:00 AM. Chris, the Crew Leader, clearly explained the work plan and how the team would proceed. Matt, the Lead Painter, along with Alexis and Kay, worked exceptionally well together. Their attention to detail was evident, and the final result is beautiful. Furthermore, when we decided to add two additional walls to the project, Matt provided an estimate immediately and the team transitioned into that work without a hitch. We are incredibly pleased with the outcome. The team finished, cleaned up, and packed away all supplies by 2:30 PM. Mike's Quality Painting deserves an A+, and I will highly recommend Mikes Quality Painting for your next painting project!

First crew (one guy) did a terrible job of plastering a hole in a ceiling. Walls were painted with a medium Lustre rather than low. Ceilings were streaked. The general manager came over, looked at the work and sent 2nd crew over. The 2nd crew repainted the ceilings but did not repaint the walls. They left me with 5 gallons of low Lustre paint. Will never use them again and I hope to always read reviews prior to signing. Andy's is not locally owned (Albuquerque, NM)

I had a terrible experience with Andy's painting. Prior to starting the job, I emphasized to the…read morecrew that we had recently installed new flooring in our home and that I was concerned about protecting the floors. I was assured that the floors would be covered during the duration of the project to ensure protection. Floor covering is specified in our contract but was not completed. Our floors were not covered. Instead, masking tape was placed on the floor in sporadic areas. I discussed this with our project manager Kris and the painting crew after realizing that they weren't going to cover the floors and again re-emphasied my concerns, however the floors were still not covered. The tape job was not adequate, and paint got all over the stairs and flooring. The crew attempted remove the paint using an abrasive orbital buffer and a sharp hand tool. This caused multiple steps to be scratched and gouged. The crew caused $622.08 worth of damage to our new flooring. Andy's website states "We perform the work. We do not subcontract our painting work. All our painters are employed by Andy's painting." The original painters and our project manager Kris both informed me on the first day that the crew were indeed sub-contractors. The painter said that it was only his second day working with Andy's. Obviously, this was frustrating and a willful misrepresentation by Andy's. We did not expect or agree to have the job subcontracted. Especially by someone who lacked the skill to complete the job. Areas that were not to be painted received paint. Including the stair risers, handrail and doors. The handrail was even painted a different color without my consent or prior knowledge. The lack of attention to detail was astounding. We had to babysit the entire project. I had to ask multiple times to have simple tasks like filling nail holes or having walls textured completed. All of these items were agreed to in our contract. However, there were constant excuses from the crew and attempts to cut corners. I was told "you probably don't need 2 coats of paint" and "you can't see those holes." ect. It was tiresome to have to repeatedly insist that they complete the job as we had agreed. The first crew was fired by the project manager after 2 days. In total, 3 different crews worked on our project trying to get it right. On the very first day I was told that the job would be completed in 1 day. The job ended up taking 5 days. The doors were painted using a sprayer in our driveway. The driveway was not protected properly and there was white paint sprayed all over our driveway. The doors were initially put back on wet causing the paint to be damaged, door hinge pins upside down, missing screws ect. The crew does not arrive on time. They were at least 30 minutes late on 4 different occasions. Multiple crew members told me that Andy's will hire anyone and that they don't check references or require any demonstration of proficiency or skill prior to be hired. Overall, it was a bad experience. I was expecting a much more professional experience and result. Andy's did agree to pay for the damage and did some additional work on removing the paint from our stairs and flooring. I would not recommend hiring Andy's Painting.

I can't say enough good things about how easy they made the process. Having your home undergoe teardown and reconstruction is never pleasant but the employees did all they could to make it as easy as possible for me. The employees were all professional, friendly and listened to my concerns. That is something that is important to me. They keep the other areas of my home clean, moved my furniture and put it back and even offered to put my pictures back up! Communications were clear from start to finish and they helped me with my homeowner's claim and follow up with the insurer to get maximum amount covered. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again if I have another project and I have already told friends that this company really does it right!

He left with a promise of having an estimate to me ASAP given the extenuating circumstances. To date, October 31, 2023, 3 WEEKS after coming to my home and many calls and texts from me, I still do not have an estimate. My last message on 10/30 was to please send me a quick text or give a quick call to let me know if they've decided they don't want the job. (Some repairs and also painting my entire home.) I mean, come one, it's just a little common courtesy and professionalism to let someone who's counting on an estimate that you've changed your mind about doing the job. Their silence speaks volumes. Unfortunate that contractors are like this. There will come a time when things are slow and maybe they'll wish they'd have treated potential customers better.

NOT RECOMMENDED! This is by far my worst contractor experience. I was left completely in the dark…read moreon project start dates, delays, return and finish dates, and special order updates. I grew extremely frustrated, and was eventually forced to conclude Lujan & Sons Constr. (LSC) has no concern for customer satisfaction. LSC was contracted for a tar/gravel re-roof and parapet repair. Here is just a PARTIAL list of what I experienced, and what should be considered red flags for potential new customers. - HSC failed to pull a permit, as required by the city. I checked with the city the day after the job was finished, and again 1 week later. JSC even cashed my final payment BEFORE I forced them to pull a permit with a series of documented text messages. - 2 delays on my re-roof project start date without any advance notification (once, they called THAT morning). - I had to spend 45 minutes every evening cleaning up after the roofers around the entire perimeter of my home. The debris included roof gravel with sticky tar, which forced me to wear shoes covers. I soon discovered they swept roof gravel into my decorative rock and flower gardens. - In one instance during my evening clean up, the roofers left several large pieces of lumber next to my driveway, which protruded 8-9 inches into the sidewalk. Very dangerous, and another city ordinance violation. I was forced to move them myself. - Without my permission, they used MY waterhoses, pushbroom and even my A-frame ladder (to hang plastic over the windows). Talk about a major contractor NO-NO!! For liability reasons, I NEVER would have allowed them to use my A-frame ladder! - They double-kinked my water hose in the frontyard to "turn off the water", and once left the water running for hours until I turned it off. - They threw trash in my recycle bin, which included a beer bottle wrapped in aluminum foil. - HSC asked for a progress payment, which was NOT in the terms of the agreement; I refused. - I never once received a phone call asking if I was satisfied with the work, with the work crew, with their daily clean up, if they were on time in the morning, if they worked a full day, if I had any concerned or complaints that needed to be addressed, etc. Not once. To put my review in perspective, I have been a homeowner for 30 years; this is not my first experience with contractors, both good and bad. I believe this makes me more than qualified to provide potential customers an objective review based on facts, many of which are documented with photos and text messages. Lastly, HSC has given me NO reason to believe I was provided a high quality roof and parapet repair that will last 20+ years. They showed no concern in my immediate satisfaction, so why should I believe they are interested in my satisfaction 15 or 20 years down the road!? I would strongly advise against using this company!!
