These great reviews don't lie. I chose Mike's because of the highly positive reviews here on Yelp. They completed 2 jobs in the last 6 months. For each I got a detailed estimate, which were very fair and not exceeded. Workers were courteous, punctual and highly competent. My work consisted of inside and outside jobs. For each, all the necessary precautions were taken. There was a situation were they painted beyond the expected boundary. No problem -- they mixed new paint to cover the new paint. Mike's Quality Painting is my painting shop from now on. read more

We want to thank Mike's Quality Painting for the outstanding job from start to finish. What a great team! Starting with our first call and working with the Schedulers: Illyn, Judy and Katia to get the estimate done and work scheduled. They were readily available to answer questions. Sales persons Dusty and Alex who visited our home to assess the work. Dusty provided us with a very reasonable and fair price for the project. We needed to address water stains from a 2023 roof leak in three ceiling areas, as well as hairline cracks from the house settling over the last 22 years. The team arrived promptly at 8:00 AM. Chris, the Crew Leader, clearly explained the work plan and how the team would proceed. Matt, the Lead Painter, along with Alexis and Kay, worked exceptionally well together. Their attention to detail was evident, and the final result is beautiful. Furthermore, when we decided to add two additional walls to the project, Matt provided an estimate immediately and the team transitioned into that work without a hitch. We are incredibly pleased with the outcome. The team finished, cleaned up, and packed away all supplies by 2:30 PM. Mike's Quality Painting deserves an A+, and I will highly recommend Mikes Quality Painting for your next painting project! read more

My office was vandalized with a Molotov cocktail thrown against the exterior brick which was scorched to the roof. I called Mike's Quality Painting for a quote. It took 3 tries to get someone out to look at the damage and assess other trim painting I wanted done. Their quote was a little higher than I had hoped, but I decided to accept it. I tried 4 times to let them know the work could progress, but to no avail. No one responded and the work was never done. In the ensuing years the money I had set aside to cover it had to be spent elsewhere and the work never got done. Though faded a bit, the scorch is still there at 5900 Domingo Rd,. NE for all to see. read more

We had accent walls painted. Bradley gave a timely and reasonable estimate. Conor came out to do the painting. We're very happy with the results. Before signing off, we did a thorough walk-through and requested minor touch-ups which were quickly accomplished. Overall, a very pleasant, professional experience. We would highly recommend Mike's Quality Painting. read more

I had other quotes that were slightly less, but I chose Mike's because they were very professional from the get go. Communication was clear and they showed up when they said they would. They also did an excellent job. Manny, one of the painters, worked so hard and checked in with me to make sure everything was to my liking. The experience was smooth, and the results were great! read more

This was our second time using MQP, previously for outside painting, this time for living room, hallway, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Both times we relied on quotes from Jerry Martinez which were competitive and spot on. Xavier was crew leader both times and the teams were hardworking and very well trained. We highly recommend MQP, read more

Matt and Frank did an excellent job fixing our stair rail after another company painted it and left the surface feeling like sandpaper. They were professional, detail-oriented, and took the time to properly smooth and refinish the rail so it feels great now. The difference is night and day. They were also friendly, efficient, and clearly take pride in their work. I really appreciate the care they put into getting it right and would absolutely recommend them. read more

Keeping my house protected from the elements has always been important to me. Mike's Quality Painting continues to provide that protection. Crew lead Dusty brought the A-team out to do this job over two days. I also made special requests for Dunn Edwards products and brush application. Both were agreed upon. Prep, painting, and clean-up was done well, as usual. Special thanks also to painters Castro, Matt, and Xavier. See you next time! read more

These guys are great. All from the estimator to the painters, they were great. I hired them to paint the interior of my new loft. With Covid and all that comes with that, there was a four-month wait. These guys are super busy. It turns out that waiting that long was worth it because I could really hone in on what colors I really wanted. They did everything they said they would do. They called the week before the job was going to take place. The painters were prompt. They arrived exactly on time each day. They were kind and really helpful in talking through the difficult areas, like should the trim around the closet be the same sheen as the doors and the wall it's on. They did an excellent job. They estimated that the job would take five days but it was closer to three and a half days. Once the job was done the price dropped by about $600. Props to Bert (estimator), Michelle (she wears many hats), Oscar (the lead painter overseeing the project), Juan (painter), and his small gang of painters Michael and Carlos. What a great team! I really enjoyed working with all of you especially Juan and Michael since we saw each other every day last week! read more

Outstanding customer service. From calling for an estimate, to scheduling an estimate, then scheduling the job, and finally completing the job, the customer service was outstanding. The quality of the job was excellent. The service provided was definitely a value since they beat the price of another company. I plan on using Mike' Quality Painting for all my future painting jobs. read more

Mike's Quality Painting did some exterior trim painting for me in June 2022. Recently, I noticed a problem with the paint and called the company to inquire about their three year warranty. They assured me they would take care of it. One of their long-term employees, Ed C, was here three times. First time was to take a look at the job, second time to do the prep and primer, and third time to do the final coat. He was amazing... Very efficient, neat, and completed the work to my satisfaction. I couldn't be happier. The outstanding customer service and honoring their three-year warranty makes them a top-notch company in my opinion. I will definitely use them again for my home painting projects. I should mention they have also done numerous projects in my neighborhood for other neighbors and also for our community property, both interior and exterior projects. Five stars!!! read more

I requested a quote for drywall repair. This place sent me a list of available times for the quote. I selected one of their available time slots. I changed my schedule to accomodate their allotted times. They did not show up. They said the time slots listed were for them to call me to schedule an appointment? Ridiculous!! All the others companies Yelp sent requests to were timely and reliable. This was the only company who was flaky. read more

We had Juan and Humberto from Mike's Quality Painting in today to paint our dark and unappealing spec home. They did a fantastic job! They paid attention to our needs, did quality work and made sure we were satisfied with the finished product. Both were friendly, professional and always on time each day. I won't hesitate to call Mike's again. read more

This firm did an excellent job from initial estimate to the scheduling and painting of our home. On the last day i saw an area that needed to be redone and they graciously came back and remediated that area. The team was friendly and got along well with our dogs. I recommend this company and will call them again for other painting needs. read more

I received three quotes from contractors and MQP came in at about 45% less than the other lower bid. I've never had the exterior of a house painted prior so I had to place complete trust in MQP. I loved getting to pick out my own colors and I got over the HOA hump easily. The MQP crew tolerated any dumb questions I had and they were very fast, clean and efficient. A special shout out to Simeon and Victor who ensured the project was 100% to my satisfaction. Several neighbors came to me after the work was completed and asked me who had done the work. A few thought I had new stucco put on the house. I'll use MQP again. No doubt. read more

Very expensive. The estimator gave me a price of $4235 to redo the exterior wood on my house. I had no reference on the amount of effort involved and trusted the high reviews of Mike's on Google. I was present the entire time and observed they did the work in less than 24 man hours of labor. Thus $175 per labor hour, an outrageous amount for painters. In fact 4 of those hours were performed by a trainee. I requested an adjustment to the price based on the poor estimate they gave me. Their response was "our price is our price? As a minimum, get multiple estimates. read more

I called to request a quote with back and forth phone calls i emailed them and asked them to estimate me through a appointment online They give me a appointment schedule and then said unable to schedule. And yes this was your office spoke to scheduler about the fist know show and she said "he's fired now". Mentioned my next issue and she said " but our guy is so good". Never called to follow up. Had a leak in the bathroom which caused water damage to the drywall. Called a plumber to fix the leak (Affordable Service). However, they don't do drywall repair. I searched for drywall repair service and found Mike's Quality Painting which they repair drywall. After the initial meting with Colton, we agree to the repair. Mike's Quality Painting has specialized groups (painting, stucco, drywall, etc.) Each performed their area of expertise until the project is completed. The last to complete was the painting (Connor) and he did a great job. The front office (Grace) kept me updated on the schedule of the project. I got exterior painting at an exhoribitant price. If I had it to do over I would have got it done by the immigrant labor who do a better job for less than half the price. These guys balked at my request to have the garage door painted out to the edges under the weather seal. Neighbors who got the job from the immigrants say they didn't even have to ask for that. read more

The painters pushed a heavy leather chair against a newly painted wall when they were done with painting bedroom. I pulled chair away from the wall, and there was a wet, newly dropped 3"x3" blotch of paint. They didn't even try to remove and clean the spot, or advise me. To me that's an unforgivable offense. I had them attempt to clean it, but to this day, it is still there. They started with the wrong color in my laundry room. I asked why they didn't have the order with them. They did fix the issue, but probably cost 3/4 of a day. There are lots of droppings on the baseboards that I've had to attempt to clean. No one called at the end of service to verify the quality of the job. I didn't call them because I was so disgusted with the whole experience! Their ads on tv are nice and sweet, but I would never hire them again! Plus, they are very expensive! read more

Mike's team of Dusty, Andrew, Chris, and Pedro showed up on time (despite snow), worked efficiently and did a great job. The rooms look great. It did take several weeks to initially get a response to my message asking for a quote, but I'm pleased with the result. read more

Their service people were rude and didn't even want to look you straight in the face. We requested that our heavier items be stored in a moving van while they did the job. I asked when they would return to put back the items They said in 24 hours. Their own literature states that you shouldn't put heavy items on the floor. Well they came back before that time had elapsed and insisted that they do this all the time. I was extremely unhappy with them. I found them to bring rude. I will never have MQP do another job job for us. read more

Made the mistake of having these guys paint my garage. Glad I only let them in the garage. Paid to "properly" repair any drywall damage and mud/tape/sand the seams. They rushed the job and didn't properly do anything. Got attitude back from Mike, the owner. White drywall showing behind streaked paint. Touch up consisted of non-matching paint color and texture. This "kwality" would never fly in the Midwest or anywhere outside of New Mexico. Don't trust the advertisements, these guys are a joke. Even begged me to pay before they were done so they could make payroll. We agreed, full payment upon completion. (their offer, not mine). The estimator they sent was a creep, made my girlfriend uncomfortable with him telling her about his ex-wife and his living situation. Told her she could "contact him day or night" about the estimate, which made me very uncomfortable as well. I was sitting in the room the entire time during his estimate and he did not once address me, make eye contact with me, or discuss the estimate with me... Even though I was the one who was going to be paying for the entire thing, had we decided to go with this company. Retraining staff could go a long way in preventing this level of unprofessionalism in the future. Getting an estimate for something as trivial as a paint job, should not make anyone feel uncomfortable and all parties should be respected and addressed when your staff is in their home. read more

They sent a woman in a Cadillac out to my house who couldn't even make a determination on her own about lead in the paint on my outside trim. She told me someone else would come by to do the test. No one else ever showed. It was also obvious she was clueless about repairing sun and time damaged trim. Ultimately she called me several days later to tell me they had determined my paint had lead in it so they wouldn't be submitting a quote. Lol! By then I had committed to hiring Cutting Edge. They sent a guy in a company truck who actually knew how to test for lead (negative btw) and the best option for my damaged trim. My experience with Mike's Quality Painting wasn't what I would call Quality. Glad others have had better luck. I was really disappointed in them. read more

Had Mike's Painting do some work for me. Called back to have a touch up, since the work was guaranteed. I spoke to Jerry, a lead painter, regarding the issue, and he said I had to speak with Mike. I called several times and Mike, the owner, did not return my call. I went to his business and personally spoke to him. He said he'll come by, but he was a no show. Several weeks passed and I finally called for an estimate. Funny Mike showed up for the estimate. He said he had to find out the color and have Tom come by to touch up the area. Several more weeks have passed by and no Tom or touch up. I have left several messages for Mike with Kelly, but no return call from Mike and no Tom. Mike should have at least given me the color of the stain. Mike's Painting is not reliable nor professional for guarantee work. J.G. read more

Mike and the crew, Ed C., Jacob, Preston and Travis did an excellent job last week with a repaint of our kitchen, dining room, living room and two bedrooms. Called and asked to speak to someone to bid a project. I've gone back forth with the person that answers the phone. I just needed an estimators name and email address to send them plans. I made it very clear that there was no address to the site because this is new construction. The young lady still asked to schedule me and asked for an address. They told me they don't give out their email addresses. This is ridiculous! Any professional in this industry shares all of their contact info unless they are hiding something. I would stay far away from this company as possible. They obviously don't want/need my business. read more

Had hired Mike's on three previous occasions without an issue. However, after this past job, I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN! Problems were as follows: 4 day job turned into weeks - which in turn cost me a month in rental income on the property, Painted my bathrooms the wrong color, Used Benjamin Moore paint on certain things when I specifically said Sherwin Williams for everything, the trim in the entire house was taped poorly and thus painted for shit, did not rehang my doors, lost one of my door knobs, paint drops, over spray, and puddy all over my newly finished wood floors, and lastly they left the place a filthy mess! It's been months and some but not all of the issues still are not fixed.... and Mike isn't getting a damn check from me until they are! UPDATE**** After this review Mike came out to the house and had all the fixes done the same day... which I really appreciated. Normally I would delete my review or at least change the review to a positive one, but I received a very snarky and rude call from Jule Freeman two business days later. "Blah, blah, blah, past due, past due, past due." Umm, excuse me... I don't know how other people do it, but I have the strange habit of not paying for work until it's complete. To call a repeat customer 2 business days after the job was completed and tell him he is very past due, like he is some kind of deadbeat, was way out of line! If you want to get paid faster, then don't take 7 weeks to finish a job correctly! Moreover, since the 4 day job turned into 7 weeks, I lost a month of rental income! Maybe I should be billing Mike for that? read more
