I hired Mitchell's Painting to paint the garage door and apply polyurethane UV protection coatings on my main entrance wood door and metal side gates. Jonathan really took his time to tape up the area and prep the surfaces so the paint and polyurethane coats adhere properly. After Jonathan applied the first coat of UV polyurethane on the main entrance wood door, he was not satisfied with the result (the sheen reflection was not uniform due to my own lousy painting attempts in previous years). So he went and got a spray gun and re-sand/reapplied the polyurethane to his liking. The door now looks like new. This perfectionist attitude is seldom seen and is much appreciated.

Until I did an online search for Albuquerque house painters and laid out my fleece for estimates. We chose A+ based on the professionalism of the owner, Phil, and what we considered to be a fair price. He helped us pick a color that stayed within our HOA guidelines and after having to change the color once more (right after they had already started painting. Sorry) We set up a start date for a couple months in the future but had to reschedule for further down the road due to sketchy weather in the forecast. As the sun rose on the day of reckoning I was super nervous how things were going to go. We had been burned by contractors before. Lo and behold Phil showed up right on time with a CREW of men ready and willing to get to work. I don't if there were 6 or 8 or 10 there was just a great group of workers ready to work and eager to do it. However, the technician arrived at approximately 1:33 PM, before I was home, and left by 1:37 PM -- well before the scheduled appointment time. I called the number that had contacted me when I saw the missed activity but received no answer. When I texted the company, I was told the technician likely arrived early because he finished a previous appointment ahead of schedule. Shortly after, the technician called and stated he had gone down the street to use the restroom. I informed him that I was home and asked him to ring the doorbell upon arrival. By 1:50 PM, no one had rung the doorbell. I checked my Ring camera footage and saw him standing at my gate at 1:49 PM without coming to the door or attempting to ring the bell. When I went outside at 1:50 PM, he had already driven away again. I called him immediately, and instead of resolving the situation professionally, he was extremely rude and insisted he had been waiting and that I never answered the door -- despite the fact that it was still before the scheduled 2:00 PM appointment time. After arguing with me, he asked if I wanted him to return. Given his behavior and unprofessional attitude, I declined. This experience showed a clear lack of professionalism, communication, and basic courtesy. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.
