We had a very disappointing experience with this company…read more We paid a $10,000 deposit to start building a garage. After receiving our deposit, the company significantly increased the price of the project to an amount we could no longer afford. We tried to discuss the situation in person at their office, hoping to find a solution, but instead we were treated disrespectfully. The owner raised his voice, yelled at us, and made the situation even more stressful. The document we signed was not a formal construction contract, yet we were left without our deposit and without the project moving forward. We filed a complaint with the Maryland Home Improvement Commission (MHIC), but unfortunately we did not receive the help we expected. We also hired attorneys, which has only resulted in additional expenses while trying to resolve this matter. Our experience has been frustrating, financially draining, and extremely disappointing. I encourage anyone considering this company to carefully review all paperwork, make sure you have a detailed written contract, and fully understand the terms before paying a large deposit.

The cheapest bid I got elsewhere was $25,000 from the big roofing companies. Luke (Hannah Construction Owner) laughed when he heard that. He put mine on for $7,500. This year we had new gutters and covers put on. Also way less than competitive bids. They replaced an old pseudo french door with an actual French Door. Way less then a bid I got 8 years ago. The last project they did and the most beautiful is my new deck. Hannah construction put in a composite deck for less than what Long Fence wanted for wood. Jorge the Carpenter was a true craftsman. He was a joy to watch work. All Hannah employees are friendly, professional and have amazing skill. I would reccomend them to anyone.

There was no reason for the delay because the weather was not an issue. Someone from the company called and asked for payment prior to the work being completed. When you call with an issue, no one will return the call. I was billed for services that were no rendered. Now I see the reason for the limited number of reviews for this company. Do yourself a favor and go with another contractor.

Run in the opposite direction! We hired him to do our driveway. We do NOT recommend this…read morecontractor. The concrete cracked before the job was finished. Medlin "patched" it, leading us to believe that the "fix" would work but it only grew worse. More cracks began appearing after less than a year. (Medlin brought in materials to build a foundation before pouring concrete). The supposed "high quality" concrete is now chipping and developing holes. Other damage was done to the property. We called James and requested visits to address the problems, but he never came although he said he would (or would "try"). Project was done in October 2021. Last request for follow up was September 2022. Quality is heartbreaking and disappointing.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Spent $30,000 on a pad and a patio and it started cracking within weeks!…read moreComplained multiple times the he "needs to get his equipment outta here" half way through the job. He brought and excavator when he really needed a bobcat to prep the site. He left the crew working in the dark with no lights at the completion. The crew left concrete splattered all over my door and house, the pad has severe low spots so the garage leaks as the water runs under it, he cut relief joints several feet into what was supposed to be the smooth garage floor, the pad holds water in multiple places, destroyed my driveway with the trucks and when it was all done he left probably 10 tons of dirt piled up in the yard. I should have looked better, they have been sued multiple times for the same thing. I gave him an opportunity to fix the issues, but he just had excuses and even went so far as to claim I have a "hidden stream" in that specific spot and that I was being cheap because I only gave him $1500 OVER the price he originally quoted when he came to look this first time.

I give Seymour Design 0 stars. Jimmy Seymour is the owner/operator, it took him over 7 weeks to…read morecomplete a 3 week project. He was always full of excuses when things were not completed when he said they would be and we would go 3-4 days with no one showing up on the property. Then when they did show up it would be at 8 at night and they wanted to work until 11 when my husband and I have to get up early and my three kids are on that side of the house. Or they would show up on the weekends and Jimmy wouldnt so we were stuck babysitting his guys since if no one was there they would only work an hour or so. Right away he started to complain by phone and text in regards to he is not going to make any money ( He bid on the job we did not tell him a price). His subcontractors were horrible. My garage was destroyed while the electricians stepped on our riding mower and golf cart as well as started drinking our drinks from the fridge. Then the gargage flooded due to the plumber not glueing the pipes. They left food trash and ciggarette buts all over my driveway. We have now overpaid on the contract and he isnt finished (we are not letting him) then he shows up after we get approval to use the dwelling and gives us an additional bill for 5,700 that he wants as he over paid every contractor and for supplies. Not to mention that my husband had to help hang all the drywall and put all appliances in. We are not sure how he went over as we bought all figutres, cabinets, counters (even front door) all he supplied was wood. The roof dosent match and he wanted even more to fix it. Now as we have over paid and told him we are done as we completed the our part of the contract and he did not (no shutters, roof a mess and plug in one bathroom dosent work) he is threating to sue and put a lien on our house as well as call the county and make up lies about what we are using the addition for. Very un business like and then if you say something he dosent like he is very rude and unprofessional. I know this is not the first time that he has done this to people. Not to mention the work he did needs to be fixed. painting job is horrible even my 7 year old made comments and half the baseboards are not painted and all trim work is bad.
