GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I made an appointment 2 weeks ago for my 4 month old doodle mix to get groomed. I was told to come in between 9-12am and she will be groomed in the order she came in. We came at 9am. A 2pm I called to see if she was done and they said she would be at least another 2 hours. I told them that was too long in a crate and I would just come get her. When I got there she had not be let out to go to the bathroom and was sitting for entirely too long for what I asked for. I highly recommend NOT coming here unless you want your dog to wait in a crate all day to be groomed with no bathroom. read more

I have reluctantly brought my dogs here since I moved to Tulsa because it was recommended, and I have watched the people go from unfriendly to unprofessional to downright rude (to humans) in a matter of a few years. My real issue is if you're going to be nasty to the people dropping off dogs (not just me), then what is happening to our dogs? Because of the behavior this morning, I wouldn't even leave my dogs with them because I was so grossed out and frankly scared. Avoid avoid avoid. There is nothing "boutique" about this place, and no transparency around what they're doing with your dogs once you leave. Do not go to this groomer, ever! I wish I could give less than 1 star. We have been using this groomer for a long time and the service is progressively getting worse. They have never been friendly, but the service was ok. This appointment was the last straw! They moved to a new location but failed to notify us when we made the appointment. They don't have a sign for the business, therefore we were having a hard time finding the location. When I called for directions I was given 1 word answers and had to practically force him to provide direction. They kept the 2 miniature poodles all day. Both poodles were completely shaved, after being there all day! There was no notification they raised their prices until we picked the dogs up. The rudeness and poor service is not worth the hassle. I have been moving from groomer to groomer over the last ten years and had mixed results. A few months ago, before locking down, we got the best haircut for our poodle that we have ever had. It was just so amazingly noticeable how professional the haircut was. I chalked it up to great luck. Well, we just returned from the second grooming from DD, and now I realize that it isn't luck, they just know how to groom a standard poodle the right way. I am so happy. Plan ahead because you aren't getting in tomorrow, but that is ok as long as I know. they have adopted some of the new protocols for taking and retrieving your dog, so you might want to get up to speed on that as well. but seriously, I have never had a better cut for my dog. The environment seemed happy and upbeat when I dropped off my dog. It definitely wasn't the same place when I picked her up. The energy was negative and appeared to be a grooming sweat shop. My dog was terrified and wouldn't get out of my arms the whole way home. She continued to be upset the rest of the day. I kept thinking they must have been mean or too stern with her because she's not like this. She absolutely loves every human and every animal. When people meet her they always say she's one of the happiest dogs they've ever met. She doesn't mind baths or scissors either. She is only 7 months old so she does get excited. I just blew it off and thought to myself I guess I won't be taking her back there. I was telling this story to a friend and she said you didn't take her to dazzle dog did you! She proceeded to tell me when she picked up her dog she was dragging her back leg and they denied anything had happened. She immediately took her to the vet and long story short her dog had to have two back surgeries. She spoke to the owner on multiple occasions but they still said nothing happened. All she wanted was an apology or an explanation of what had happened. That's awesome if you have a great experience there but we both didn't. I'm just thankful my dog just got her feelings hurt and wasn't injured. This is the first review I've ever posted and just want to make sure everyone's babies stay safe. read more

They keep you dog for several hours. The grooming is terrible. My pups pads were cut and bleeding at one groom and they didn't even acknowledge it! One of the groomers - Kelly is very rude and mean. Don't take your dog here. They only take appointments for the day instead of by time. If they really loved grooming dogs they should stop trying to make more money by over scheduling appointments in one day and allow for hourly appointments for the grooming. The last time I brought my dog there I dropped her off at 930 and she sat in a cage for 7 hours because they had one groomer with an emergency. They did not explain that it might take longer than normal or even try to re-schedule. The time before it was a 5 hour wait for her to be finished with the grooming with no excuse as to why it took so long. I feel sorry for the groomers who work there but this place is not worth it for any money and their prices are the same as any groomer. read more

The owner Kelli can do a really good job, hence 2 stars, but if she's truly the one always cutting his hair then she only does a good job when she feels like it. She lets you know that she doesn't need any suggestions from you on how you would like your fur baby's hair cut, and that was the first time I went there. It appears there is no one in any service industry that will accept any responsibility when they've done anything at all wrong, and Dazzel Dog is among the worst. It is also, sadly, why I stayed until she kicked us out today. I worried about taking my now much older pup to someone who's even more anti-social. I talked to two of my neighbors and they said that either she was not approachable or that she did not receive constructive criticism well. So, I guess they are training us like dogs not to speak, and I did not for years and then when I had to because they cut his penis and didn't say a word, of course I said something. I... Me... I was timid because why? I was to freaking lazy to find someone better and had forgotten that my CASH spends EVERYWHERE!!! Now comes today (pictures to follow) I called the store, not because his beard was completely (1/2 inch ) crooked but because I discovered what I initially thought might be a small cut was slightly larger but had scabbed over without any help. After using this place with little complications twice, the third time we dropped our dog off at 8:45am to be groomed on a Saturday. After no communication we called at 1:15pm and asked if they had finished with our dog and found out that not only had they not started, but that they didn't expect to be able to start for a couple more hours. Knowing that they had the intention of keeping her crated for what would be 6+ hours with no communication we picked her up and will never be using this place ever again and would encourage others to stop using this business that is clearly only looking for $ with zero care for the animals. read more

My daughter and I just went into your business and instantly heard a dog yelping while being groomed. The groomer squeezed the small black dog's arm and through gritted teeth told the dog to "quit it." She continued shaving the dog while the dog continued to yelp in pain. There were two other groomers present who said and did nothing to intervene. I informed one of the groomers that I could not leave our dog there. I am sorry to have to inform you of this and about how your business is being ran. I do not feel comfortable leaving my dog there or recommending your services. I have regularly taken my two small dogs here for about a year and they ordinarily do a decent job. I brought them in a couple of weeks ago and they botched my Maltese. She had a couple of matted spots so they shaved her completely and unevenly. We were expecting bad weather later in the day, but when I picked them up at noon the whole crew was waiting in the lobby as if to say they were in a hurry to get out. I could tell they hurried through the more I looked at her. I will never take my girls back. I would rather have rescheduled than to have paid good money for a crappy job. read more

Went to talk to KELLY THE OWNER and she didn't refund money or anything. Groomer popped off a remark that my dog has been neglected. As in getting fed twice a day, taken out to potty multiple times a day, a couch to lay on, you get the point. If you love your dog, DO NOT COME HERE. they do not care about the animals. I took my 6 month old maltipoo in for her very first grooming ever today. When I picked her up, she looked great. However, once my husband and I were in the car on our drive home I saw her keep licking her leg and found an inch long gash. Upon further inspection, we also found a smaller nick on her stomach. We called Dazzle Dog immediately and they said they would neither would deny nor confirm they caused the gash and that was it. It is now 4 hours later and the gash Dazzle Dog gave to my puppy is still bothering her a great deal. We will NOT be going back to Dazzle Dog. read more

My mom has been taking her dog there for grooming, the groomer always complains about the the groom. They have botched up her dog a few times with shaving instead of brushing out. We totally love Kelly's Dazzle Dog! We have a Cavapoo and a miniature Dachshund that both get groomed for $60. Such a great price! If anything ever isn't right, I can let them know and they will fix it. The staff is so friendly as well and I am always able to get both of my pups in within a week of calling. My girlfriend and I have taken our dog several times and today will be the last. We took her in at 9am only to have her picked up at 5 and she wasn't even finished. Cheryl called and pretty much told my girlfriend that she's a terrible dog mom because of how matted our dog was. We do our very best to brush her and we even understand that her breed is hard to keep unmatted. So instead of spending Valentines Day happy and enjoying each other's presence, she was sad because of the way she was spoken to over the phone. Our dog now has a cut on her paw and they didn't even complete her after 8 hours. Paul the manager is a POS and didn't seem to care. Bad service, bad business and I would highly recommend staying away from this place. Take your four legged kiddos to someone who values them like you would. My last experience with this place was horrible ... to say the least. When I went to pick up my girl she was up on the grooming table with a strap around her neck with no one around her or even in that part of the salon. I was terrified she would try to jump off the table because when she saw me she became very excited. My dog had had back surgery prior to this happening, so I was really scared for her. When the tech returned she proceeded to lecture me in a very unkind way. Kelly, the shop owner, walked between us, sat down and did not say a word. The Groomers here are a bunch of SNOBs and they cater to SNOBBY CLIENTALE. If your a regular, hard-working person, who likes to RESCUE animals instead of buy them from puppy mills than this is probably not a place for you. I called ahead of time before I brought my dog in, and I told them that I had a RESCUE dog. I told them that this was his first time being groomed (professionally) and that Petsmart could not manage to groom him. They told me, "O bring him in, we'll groom him." I explained to them over the phone and in person that he does NOT like his rear or bottom groomed. He gets very testy and may try to bite, they said. "O, we can work with him." I received a call about an hour after dropping him off from the Groomer, saying that, I HAVE A VERY DANGEROUS DOG AND THAT HE SHOULD BE PUT DOWN." She even went so far to say, I HOPE YOU DON'T HAVE SMALL CHILDREN IN YOUR HOUSE BECAUSE I'M AFRAID OF WHAT THIS DOG WILL DO TO THEM. Well guess what? I do have a small child and my dog does not behave this way in my home, maybe he just was scared and afraid of YOU!! ARE YOU SERIOUS, PUT MY DOG DOWN. I RESCUED THIS DOG FROM A KILL SHELTER AND YOU WANT ME TO KILL MY DOG. I was very upset with this place. They were very DISRESPECTFUL and RUDE. When I arrived to pick up my dog, I tried to console him from behind the counter. He began to whimper because I was in the room and one of the GROOMERS (an Old Hag) told me, "WE have customers coming in and your dog is making too much noise and he's a LIABILITY." O so I guess I was never really considered a customer in the first place. This was my experience, if it happened to me, it could happen to you. read more

My son has an Autism Service dog. It is critical that the dog is groomed regularly, and that his cut is exactly the same every time (because of my son). It is also critical that we only leave him for as little time as possible, since my son doesn't function well without him. They are amazing with him, they do a great job and they get him back to us quickly. So glad I found this place when we moved here. read more

Whoever wrote the review about bringing their rescue must work for competition. I will never use another groomers but Dazzle Dog after my wonderful experience and the care and concern they showed my rescue dog. She'd never had a bath (never been in a car, never been on a leash - it was a big day!) and I called all over town trying to find some place that would give her a bath and not cage her/do it quickly. No one but this place cared about the fact that my little girl was going through the biggest changes of her life that day. They volunteered to bathe her for half price and let her foster mom and me use the waiting area as the exchange place. The groomer came and sat with me on the floor with her and helped calm her down when she was shaking and scared. They got her done in about 25 minutes and were gentle and kind. Ever since then, almost two years ago, they remember my dog by name when I call and for the first year always remarked on how she was progressing from trauamtized and abused to happy, playful, and well-adjusted. Oh, and to the "snobs" and "puppy mill" jabs - my rescue is a classic heinz 57. There's not a drop of purebred in her. And my second dog I got a year later is the same way. They take wonderful care of my doggies, give them treats, and make sure they are in the same crate together. I have zero complaints about anything here. They love dogs and do a wonderful job with them! read more

I had the most horrible experience with this grooming shop today. They have done an ok job with our pup in the last. But today they called and asked over the phone if they could trim his coat "a little shorter". We said ok, because they have always been very conservative in the past, but when we picked him up he was completely shaved! I talked with Kelly, the manager, and she was very rude and tried to lecture me instead of apologizing or offering any kind of reconciliation. In the past we have always made it very clear that we want to preserve the classic "Cavalier" Spanial look and to only trim his belly side close if they need to. There was an obvious miscommunication because the groomer never said she was going to shave him when we talked on the phone, only trim his coat a little shorter. Our poor pup looks absolutely ridiculous now with only a fluff of hair at his ears and tail and won't get his beautiful long coat back for 6mo-1 yr. This is the worst customer service experience that I've ever had and I am so sad that we were treated so poorly. read more

My dog was taken to Dazzle Dog at approximately 9:15 am on Saturday morning. I had previously communicated both via email and phone to make sure they had an appointment time for my dog. When my husband took Willie in he said that neither my name nor Willie's was on the stack of papers on the receptionist's desk. Should have known then it would be a loooong day. Not having heard from them by 1:30 we called and they said they hadn't started on Willie. Okay, so they're backed up hopefully they'll start now that we're calling. Wrong. Called again at 3:00, still not started. My husband asked when they closed and they said 5:30. My husband went there at 5:30 and still not ready. We received a call at 6:20 that Willie was finally done. At this point my husband was running another errand and I couldn't drive due to surgery on 6/11/13. When my husband arrived they gave him a bill for $ 85.00. Not a word one,, for keeping a 10 year-old dog locked in a kennel all day, not an apology nor, heaven forbid, a discount on the final tab. When I finally got my dog home he drank an entire pan of water without stopping. He was so stressed that he wouldn't eat that night. I am furious. When I read their reviews on yelp and google I should have payed more attention and not been swayed by their reviews on Angie's List. DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! I will never, ever use this place again. Read the reviews on Yelp and Google and then make your decision. Really interesting that four 1 star reviews are not factored into Dazzle Dog's rating. Smacks a little of favoritism for those who advertise and not those who rely on reviews. read more

I can't say enough how impressed I am with Kelly's Dazzle Dog!! I just moved here from Texas and was nervous to find Ellie, my 9 year old shih tzu a new place to get groomed. She has terrible skin allergies which flared up like crazy during the move, and then to top it off she got fleas before we could treat the yard at the new house we moved into. I called Kelly's on a Saturday, frantic to try and find someone who would accept my dog with her current condition ASAP so we could take care of spraying the yard and house while she was being groomed. Not only did Felicia tell me to come right in, but they worked late just to fit her in. The treated both me and my dog so kindly and did such a fantastic job on the hair cut! Ellie even got a report card grading how she did during the groom and she got an A! I know my dog very well and she was very calm when I picked her up and she typically has pretty bad anxiety when getting groomed so her calmness speaks volumes! Ellie has been a happy lady ever since, no fleas and her skin allergies have almost completely gone away. No scratching! I have definitely found a permanent groomer here in Tulsa. We love Dazzle Dog! They have groomed our Brussels Griffons for three or four years now and they always do a great job. Both of my dogs are special needs rescues and the crew at Dazzle Dog does a fantastic job with them. When I dropped them off this morning the lady that groomed them last time met them at the door and they were so excited to see her (my male is rarely excited to see anyone, especially since he can hardly see). Unlike many other groomers the office is clean and doesn't smell of urine. The grooming area is open so if you walk in you can see how they groom and treat the animals. I asked for and received a tour of the facilities before I chose them as our groomer and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend Dazzle Dog to anyone looking for a great, clean and caring grooming salon. I have seen negative reviews for Dazzle Dog and it surprises me, but I know there are people that no matter how hard you try you can't make them happy. I also know there are a lot of people who will love a place and never write a review, but the moment someone has a bad experience they tell the world. I visited over 20 salons in Tulsa when I was looking for a groomer, and I was appalled at the conditions dogs were kept in. Cages and floors covered in hair that had sat so long there was dust and dirt stacked on it, multiple dogs running loose in small rooms with crates sitting around randomly, and the majority of the salons reeked of urine and dirty dog. Some salons wouldn't even allow me to see the grooming area, that alone told me I wasn't leaving my babies there. I love walking into Kelly's and smelling orange citrus cleanser and being greeted by the staff. read more
