When I asked when or how this appointment was made, the receptionist was dismissive, unhelpful, and rude rather than clarifying the situation. This interaction was very off-putting and unprofessional, and it made me decide not to move forward with this practice. Not a good voice or representation to have for first impressions especially in healthcare. They refused and wouldn't let my son have an appointment until my Medicaid was up. Ridiculous. Unprofessional. Unkind. Also don't smoke and then put your hands in peoples mouths. Edited to add I don't falsely accuse anyone I don't care if you smoke. Especially if you're on break that's your own business. But please wash your hands and be sanitary while doing so. There were moments where I was yelled at in a way that felt unprofessional and upsetting, and physical interactions during the procedure felt more forceful than expected. At one point, my hand was pushed away while I was trying to communicate discomfort, which made the situation feel even more distressing. I left the appointment feeling extremely shaken, and the experience stayed with me for days afterward. Dental visits can already be stressful, especially for patients with anxiety, and this interaction made that significantly worse. I want to be clear that this review reflects my personal experience. In no time I had my tooth out, bone graft in, area sutured, and a partial put in place to help the healing process. The pain was less than expected and during the surgery Dr. Cotton and his helper kept checking on me. I even received a phone call hours after the operation checking to see how I was doing.
