The cottage was dirty - hair/ dirt in tub, mouse droppings in cupboards, filthy carpets, ripped screens, fridge that wouldn't keep food cold( missing seal), insufficient dishes,cutlery,glasses, intermittent water for showers, cobwebs, greasy windows....... As well the waterfront was a disappointment- very shallow, weedy, leeches. We won't return and caution anyone considering this resort.

The lake is perfect for swimming and the owners have all the gear you need including canoes kayaks and paddle boats. There is even a wood-burning sauna to help cap off your day! The Cottage was extremely clean and very accomodating. It's like having your own cottage without any of the hastle!!! We will definitely be back up again this summer!

We've stayed at Torbay Cottages in the past, and the owner remembered which of his cottages we stayed in last year. He was also able to accommodate us on a Sunday night even with limited availability, where-as another nearby cottage would only book for week-ends and weeks and not for single nights. The price is a little bit higher than at least one other one nearby, but there's also a cheaper option nearby which reflects the quality of it. This one is moderately priced, and everything has always been well there. There was even wifi available as a bonus. While I wasn't a fan of the redesign of the way they've split the cottages in half when it comes to lanes leading to them, I'd definitely return again to Torbay considering the service and quality of the venue.

The location is near the lake across the road, about a 30 second walk to the docks. While we were there, the owners were in the house next door and they seemed very friendly. A tremendous amount of room. We had 11 or 12 people and there was still a lot of space to relax. Nice patio with a good view of the woods. Lots of comfortable chairs and couches and HD satellite TV for those rainy nights. Overall a great place to stay. The only problem is the water is a tad yukky on the bottom but the seems to be the case for the whole lake.
