After initially contacting them, they asked me to send pictures of my home so they could evaluate the cost of the service. Following several exchanges via email and phone, they scheduled a team of two cleaners to come to my home for an initial cleaning, which was intended to be repeated bi-weekly. When the team arrived, their demeanor felt uncomfortable from the beginning. They seemed somewhat cold and distant, and I felt as though they were looking down on me. While my home certainly needed routine cleaning, such as vacuuming and dusting - it was not cluttered or excessively dirty. There were no conditions that could reasonably be described as hazardous or unsanitary. I asked the team to use my personal vacuum cleaner rather than one brought from other homes, as I prefer not to use equipment that may have been used in houses with pets or children. I also have a high-quality vacuum cleaner that works very well. They agreed and began cleaning, though their reserved behavior continued. At first, I assumed they were simply quiet or reserved by nature. However, the situation changed when one of the cleaners entered my bedroom and saw a photograph of my stepdaughter, who is Black. For context, I am Asian. After seeing the photograph, the cleaner suddenly said, "I can't deal with this. I can't do this." When I asked what she meant and requested clarification, she simply said, "All of this," and walked out of my home. Shortly afterward, I received a call from Jennifer from the company, who said, "I'm so sorry, it didn't work out. This is more than we were expecting." Because the cleaning was not completed, I asked about the charges, and they assured me that I would not be billed. The behavior of the cleaning team was shocking and deeply upsetting. I left the interaction feeling as though I had somehow done something wrong, even though I had done nothing inappropriate. After this experience, I contacted Two Maids, and Ivette coordinated a team to come to my home. Their team was kind, professional, and welcoming from the moment they arrived. They had no issues using my vacuum cleaner, in fact, they complimented it. They cleaned my home thoroughly from top to bottom. I was extremely pleased with their service. Based on my experience, I would recommend Two Maids over Sparkle Cleaning Service.

At first, the cleanings were satisfactory, but over time, the cleaner became complacent and the quality noticeably declined. On several occasions, she even left my property without saying a word. As an Airbnb owner, this forced me to hire additional help and spend extra money to ensure my units were guest-ready. This has greatly affected my business, resulting in negative reviews and taking money out of my pocket as I've had to pay others to do the same job. To mitigate issues, I even created a detailed list to prevent mistakes, but it did not help. I've even paid her for simple services, like changing batteries, which she only partially completed, yet expected full payment even after leaving half the job unfinished. The final straw came today. She was scheduled to clean my two-unit Airbnb and agreed to also clean a one-bedroom unit. I have two washers--one that works perfectly and another that is defective. We have discussed several times that she is not to use the defective washer, yet today she knowingly used it. Due to my add-on request during the cleaning, she then stated that because the washer is defective, she cannot wait for the laundry to finish and will be forced to leave my units as they are. This is absolutely unacceptable. I've attached screenshots to document my experience so others can avoid the same frustration. Proceed with caution.

My oh my have things changed around here…read more... This used to be a great place to live, but many things have gone downhill, quickly. 1) The clientele base: It appears that what seemed like stricter policies to apply and reside at Tuckaway has gone out the window to stuff their buildings. And I mean literally stuffed them. At one point we were living above a two-bedroom apartment that occupied AT LEAST 3 adults, and 3 children. How is this even allowed? Imagine the noise! Constant banging (to the point where our walls ABOVE THEM shook), loud music, slamming doors, screaming, etc etc etc. Resident and neighbor quality took a nose-dive, with buildings being much noisier, derelict vehicles parked in the parking lots (some FILLED with junk), people parking like jerks, garbage on the premises, I could go on and on. The neighbors next to us constantly swore and screamed at their small children. Three different units in our building apparently were quite chummy, and constantly congregated in the hall, leaving their doors open and their kids running wild like we were living in some kind of college dorm.Management did nothing besides write notes to these people. Lot of good that did. 2) Speaking of kids, this place has become a daycare/zoo. Kids run rampant in the parking lots. Biking, scootering, running, playing in and around dumpsters and construction... On a daily basis I would nearly hit a small child while driving to or from work, because the residents treat the parking lot like a playground. Someone is going to get killed in these parking lots. I've had kids playing ON and around my car, with their parent standing right there, while their child beat on my bumper. Again, no help from management. "Well do you know what building they are in?" I even called them one time, while the office was open, when at least 6-7 adults and 6 children were just standing in the middle of the parking lot, and said "come on out if you want to see the offending parties" and nothing. Just another note stuck on our mailboxes. 3) The entitled management: Not naming names, but the apartment management really needs to get off of their high-horses. Besides Amber, the rest of the staff consistently made me feel as if I was bothering them, and would flat out ignore you if there was a new applicant present. Not sure about the opinion of anyone reading this, but I would think a long-time, 6 year resident should take priority over a random walk-in. And on top of all that, they would not actually be proactive and FIX any problems, outside of leaving notes on the mailboxes. Yet I would do something absolutely HORRIBLE like leave a garbage bag out in the hall for an hour (eye-roll) or prop the door open WHILE WE WERE MOVING, and I'd get a threatening note left at my door the next day. 4) Tuckaway? Try TAKEAWAY. The last 3 years of living there, we lost a swimming pool, the tennis courts, and a TON of parking spaces (replaced with eye-sore garages). Surely, losing these big-ticket amenities would make our rent go down, right? NOPE. Try having it go up, repeatedly, every year I've been there. Bad bad clientele, losing out on amenities while paying MORE for rent, feeling like I am in a daycare, entitled management... the list goes on and on. I would give this place 1-star, but the maintenance crew is top-notch, and get anything and everything fixed same-day. If it weren't for those guys, this would be a 1-star review.
