I really didn't know what to expect but it was cute little donut that looked delicious before I even bit into it. It was very very good! My young son devoured his frosted sprinkle donut- he was definitely the happiest of our group. I'm hoping that we just caught the shop on a bad donut day. If nothing else, the donuts are cheap and plentiful. We ate in, but there is a handy drivethru if you need a quick donut. Credit is accepted for transactions $5 and up.

I think it's related to the tradition of Chinese coffee/bakery shops, which you may recall I've reviewed from every Chinatown in the country. I lived in such neighborhoods in nyc, sf, LA and Philly, in fact they're my go-to for many things. So there you have yet another mystery and one not even my beautiful China girl can explain.
