I was distracted during my trip to Day Lewis Pharmacy by how unbelievably cheap over-the-counter painkillers are in the UK. I was in the process of buying a 32 pack of paracetamol and the pharmacist said "They're 79." I just sort of stared and repeated what he said. £79 and 79p sounded equally unfeasible. Perhaps he meant ... £7.90? The cheapest you'd ever pay for even the tiniest bottle of headache medication in Canada is about $5.
Anyway, by the end of the transaction, the pharmacist probably thought I was an idiot and I left to cure my headache feeling like a bank robber. In summary, Day Lewis has the usual Pharmacy stuff in smaller supply than some larger chains, and also has the (apparently usual) ridiculously low prices. read more
