Blanca was working the register and she called the shoe dept to see if they could locate it; unfortunately, that person was on break. Blanca asked the manager if it was okay for her to go look for it. Blanca went above and beyond by taking it upon herself to try to find it. She also had to take the time to make a price tag for the sleepwear since it was missing. I felt bad for Blanca because I know how busy that store is. She actually thanked me for waiting. I told Blanca how much I really appreciated her taking the time to personally look for the sandal and to make the tag. That's what I call exceptional customer service! Blanca is truly an asset to the store.

What I do know is when returning and purchasing items at a Ross store it's no different than that…read moreof a TJ Maxx. It's all one line. My experience today at TJ Maxx in San Ysidro was unfavorable. I thought to myself, I should just stay in line since I'm already half way down. I recall seeing approximately 20 plus customers ahead of me while more were piling up behind me. It felt like 15 to 20 minutes had passed until I arrived at a register. The transaction went well and received my refund in no time. The register lines at TJ Maxx was definitely worse than Ross. They were very slow. Staff at register was friendly though. There were various registers open, of course, all busy. There was one security guard posted at the entrance area and overall store looked ok. From a quick glance at the entire store, the store did not organized or neat.

Shopping in San Ysidro, California…read more.. We arrived in the area before Las Americas Premium Outlets opened, so I brought my cousins to Marshalls because this store - across the street - was open! I looked through the clearance spots and made my way to the restroom at the back of the store. Marshalls is quite reliable when it comes to customers' comfort... I really appreciate the clean facilities! I saw some nice dresses with a red "marked down" sticker... very tempting, but not my size. Shucks! I saw Vera Bradley x Disney collab bags - I would get one if it featured Mulan! =D I like to hunt for treasures at Marshalls. Some people (like my cousins) don't. I have to be in the mood and need to have the time. Maybe next visit... before the Outlets open again...

I found a lot of good stuff. Not too much makeup brands but I was lucky to find a few high end but not much. I like how they had lots of clothing to choose from. So happy with my purchases. I also got snacks for $6.99 and another for $3.99. Customer service was great by the lady up front. She was directing everyone in line to go to a register because the monitors were out of service. Plenty of parking in front. I would definitely come back to this location since I live nearby.

A Classy and Delicious Sunday Brunch at Sanborns!…read more We recently enjoyed Sunday brunch at Sanborns on Avenida Revolución in Tijuana, and it was an absolute delight! The food was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and truly delicious. I sampled a bit of everything and was not disappointed at all--everything was prepared with care and full of flavor. The price was very reasonable, especially when compared to brunch prices in the U.S., making it a great value for the quality and variety of food offered. Our waitress, Olivia, was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and always checking in to refill our drinks. The service was top-notch, and the overall ambiance was classy yet relaxed. It felt comfortable and welcoming for both adults and kids. One thoughtful touch I really appreciated was the freestanding coat and purse rack at each table. It may seem small, but it speaks volumes about their attention to customer comfort and detail. And I can't forget to mention the café de la olla--rich, aromatic, and nostalgic. It brought back warm memories of growing up in Tijuana. Even the kids had a great time and enjoyed the meal. I highly recommend Sanborns for a relaxing and tasty Sunday brunch. We'll definitely be returning! Now in Spanish: Disfrutamos muchísimo del brunch en Sanborns.

Was super excited to explore this Costco in Tijuana…read more Very easy to access and a lot of parking. It was not overly crowded, but it was also a Thursday afternoon. All Costco layouts are pretty much the same, so I was easily able to maneuver my way through where I needed to get to. We were there for the weekend, so we wanted to stock up on tequila and seltzer water as well as try some food at the food court. Lots of different options to pick from, and you do see some savings, especially coming from the US. The store was very clean, and people were friendly. I was able to pay with my card inside the store, but it was cash only at the food court.

This review is for folks who are in the USA and curious what the Costco in Mexico is like…read more First, I'm a fan of Costco and from what I saw, the products sold and layout are very similar to what you get in the US. But, the differences (for the better IMO) between this Tijuana Costco and a So Cal Costco are: 1) They have an automated mini donut maker that makes cinnamon sugar donuts 2) They offer a mango smoothie that is really good. They had this in the US and I also tried it but that was nasty tasting and has been removed from the menu. 3) They have mayonnaise and pickled jalapenos as condiments for the hot dogs. I didn't get to try the Torta Al Pastor but it does sound good. Tip for the US folks... they can only scan your actual Costco membership card to pay as the QR code in the Costco app will not work. I was lucky as a person ahead of me realized what happened so he offered his card to scan. And, if you are okay to walk, you can walk here from Avenue Revolution but there are some areas near the freeway so be careful.
