Fast efficient and great communication. I had close to thirty transfer loads delivered in less than 24 hours. Booked a few weeks out.

Just wanted to take a min to recognize Sandpoint building…read moresupply . Very traditional lumber yard . SBS carry's lots of contractor grade materials in various sizes and many contractor grade tools. I like that they treat diy folks the same as contractors here . I've been tinkering on my home for a little over a year and have found myself utilizing the staffs wealth of knowledge to get all the things not completed or up to par on the home. Along with thier general construction knowledge they have a great deal of knowledge about all the products they sell, youll be making far fewer trips back and forth. I can tell they do thier very best to ensure you walk out with every little piece to complete what ever your doing . Lastly my individual interactions have been more than pleasant for this I'm grateful . I recommend You give them your businesses They will work hard and strive to help you .

This was my first time doing business with Sandpoint Building Supply…read more I walked through the front door and was swarmed my a bunch of flies. As I made my way to the front station there were 2 females working. I stood there awkwardly for about 20 seconds as I was not greeted. I said hello to an older heavy-set woman who had tons of bracelets on her wrist. She looked up at me, then looked back down to continue staring at a bunch of invoices. She never responded. I had to wait for the younger worker to get off the phone, but she was nice. A guy walked in and said hello to the same heavy set woman and she had no problem responding.. Customer service is everything, and this older woman did not represent this business well. I will continue to be nice to others. One bad apple will not spoil the bunch.

Super helpful and knowledgeable staff…read more Large inventory, I found items the big boxes didn't have. Fair prices. Hardworking and helpful yard staff. Thanks!

I never imagined I would be writing a review for a lumber company. The fact that I am hopefully…read moreresonates and speaks volumes about my experience at Savemore. One thing I realize as I grow is how business has changed literally everywhere, especially when it comes to personalized customer service. This is a thing that appears to be gone in the big box stores like Home Depot and Lowes stores. Being that I am Transgender, perhaps I worry about this factor a bit more than others because I am in a class of people that is not the common everyday people. Maybe you would not think it matters but it REALLY does. There are many people and probably a majority of people that do not yet understand so some people can be rather standoffish, confused or even very rude. In fact, most people haven't figured out how to address trans people yet. It is sad but it is true. Because engaging with people can be awkward at times, I have gotten used to cracking a quick joke or two about myself during this process to more or less get this out in the open, add levity or even remove the elephant in the room. It seems to work well for me. I looked at my Sales Associate and said, "Yall must not have many Trannys come in off the street to buy lumber." He looked at me and said, "No, we really don't. In fact I have never met one before." We both got a pretty good laugh and he really became great to work with and treated me with respect. My Sales Associate was a young man named Brett Burdick. When I entered Savemore and after a friendly greeting, he offered to help me with the long and arduous task of planning a rather huge deck. I was struggling with a rather crude illustration I had made to explain what I needed to assemble my project, Brett smiled, took my drawing and said, "Let me help you with that." He began clicking away at the computer and after a slightly uncomfortable and silent five minutes, he handed me back a printout of building materials I would need with a price and everything. I was so relieved, the printouts even included screws, lag bolts and flashing. He had thought of every detail and it was under my budget. This was absolutely paramount to me as I barely knew what I was doing and as you can probably guess, this was a very intimidating process for me. In my mind, Mr. Burdick really stepped up to do his job at the risk of fellow employees perhaps assaulting him with bad tranny jokes after I had left the store. This is just a reality and these things happen more than you can imagine. I think it is just a way for people to deal with something they don't see on a daily basis. I thanked him for a good experience, for treating me so well and most of all for making me feel like a human being. It turns out Brett Burdick's family owns this company. A very good company with a very friendly culture. This really is huge because as you know, in any organization culture breeds from the top down and all the employees at Savemore reflect Brett's friendly and helpful attitude and I would never shop for lumber or building supplies anywhere else again. Even if Home Depot was cheaper which it really is not, the service I continue to get from Mr Burdick and staff is simply worth more to me than being ignored at Home Depot. I could go on and on about this company but they is so many hours in a day. This is an important review because I feel like I made a good friend that day and smaller companies like Savemore are getting rare. I really hope everybody sees this and goes in to buy from the Burdick family and continues to support this family built business. You will be glad you did. If you run into Brett Burdick, please tell him Breezy, his new Tranny friend sent you in. I am confident you will both chuckle and you will have a great experience at Savemore Lumber. I hope this heartfelt review helps and if you made it this far, thank you.
