Another groomer in the area just didn't bother clipping her nails the past two times they groomed her, which I overlooked the first time but complained about the second only to be told she jerked too much. I know she doesn't like it but she doesn't bite, just squirms. BUT we didn't have that issue at Doggie Doos. In fact; like the groomer we used to use in our old hometown, they declared my dog delightful and "so sweet." Her clip was even, nails were cut short and filed and her bows even stayed in about a week, a near record for my active girl. Definitely our new go-to groomers!

Steven was in & out in an hour & my Westie looks great! I would recommend them to anyone! Both the service & price are excellent (paid about what I would have paid at my regular groomers).

I called around and no one could do it this week until I called Bark Avenue. Jay was really nice and said he would work around my schedule. He was to arrive at 10a to start the salon services. He was running late but sent me a text to let me know and arrived at 10:30a. He and his mother (his partner was ill) took care of the 3 dogs and they were not nervous or skeptical. That says a lot because these 3 have been through so much and their confidence level is way below the radar. He cleaned everything up, vacuumed and left the place clean. I was able to use the Yelp deal so it only cost me $120 for the 3 dogs, and that included de-shedding for 2 of them (where others wanted to charge up to an additional $25). I would definitely have Jay back to take care of my dog and any other fosters I may have. Thanks, Jay and Mom!

On a recent road trip (coming back from a family funeral out of state), our dog was in (what we…read morelater came to understand was likely cardiac) distress. We made an emergency stop at Animal Care Clinic (it was the closest to where we were on I-45). In a whirlwind of panic, we brought her in. The ENTIRE staff stopped what they were doing, rushed to our aid, and began trying to save our girl. Sadly, our fur baby passed and we were forced to finish our multi-hour drive home without her. Today, in the mail, we received the most incredible and thoughtful gesture. The staff of Animal Care Clinic signed a sympathy card and included our baby's paw prints with it. They also included a seed card to allow us to plant flowers in remembrance of our girl. We are not their customers. We have never given them business - they did not even charge us for the work they did while we were there. We will probably never see them again...And yet... This incredibly compassionate and dedicated staff saw fit to not only do everything they could to help strangers in need, they followed it up with a level of kindness and sympathy I have never experienced. THANK YOU! Thank you to each of you who tried to help. Thank you for allowing us the gift of time to grieve in your exam room (displacing the many other people waiting in your lobby). Thank you to each of you who signed the card. Thank you for restoring my faith in humanity. We can never repay your kindness.

I never imagined I would be writing a review like this, but I feel other pet owners deserve to know…read moreabout my experience. I brought my cat to Ennis Veterinary Clinic at approximately 5.30 p.m. because she was actively having seizures. Although the clinic was still open (closes at 6), I felt there was very little urgency to evaluate or treat her. Blood was drawn, but throughout the visit, the atmosphere felt unprofessional. Some of the staff appeared to be joking while my cat was in a medical emergency, and I was left feeling as though her condition was an inconvenience rather than something requiring immediate and urgent attention. This was especially heartbreaking because it wasn't the first time I had sought help. Days earlier, I brought my cat in after a bump was noticed near her eye where her stitches were removed . Looking back, I wish additional diagnostics, such as imaging, had been discussed or recommended or even offered. I can't know for certain what would have changed, but I will always wonder whether earlier intervention could have made a difference. What hurt me most wasn't only the outcome. It was the lack of compassion, of urgency, of empathy. People bring their pets to a veterinarian and they're placing their trust in a team during one of the scariest moments they may ever face. They deserve kindness, clarity, and confidence that everything reasonably possible is being done. In my experience, this clinic may run an efficient business, but I left feeling that the compassion and urgency I expected from a veterinary practice were missing. I sincerely hope this review encourages reflection, not only on how patients are treated, but... on the families who love them.
