Walked in there to talk to them after not returning my calls, and I could see the lady in the back being so mean to a dog, grabbing its jaw and holding it back, I get if that's how you have to keep them still, but that's not how I want my dog to be treated... I liked this groomer the first couple times. They have done a good grooming job. But the last two times, it has taken entirely too long to groom my dog. This last time I asked if she could be done by 2. They said yes. I called a 2. No answer. Called repeatedly with no answer. Showed up at 4 and they hadn't groomed her yet. I won't be back. I waited over a week for an appointment. I think they are over booking. read more

My daughter took her ESA (emotional support animal) to them for a bath, tooth cleaning, and to get her nails done. Her ESA is is a Border Collie mix with a short double coat. When she picked her up they had shaved her. She was so shocked and upset she left speechless. After getting home the anger hit and she called. We got an apology, we got it seemed strange to shave her. But they didn't want to question it. The problem is that she wasn't taken for a cut and in her 3 years has never been cut. I asked why didn't you call and verify? I was told (by the groomer) she doesn't like to question new customers. However, she again stated that it's not recommended to shave a dog with that type of coat! So call and verify!! Then we got the statement, "I'm sorry but I don't know what you want, I can't put the hair back on." Well, duh!!! After having the animal for better than 9 hours and us calling several times to see if she was ready (a good time to verify the cut that wasn't needed or wanted) we finally got her back after what I can only refer to as an assault on the dog. While the cost of the cut was refunded it doesn't undo what was done and the damage done. Now we wait to see if her hair grows back like it was. If you don't want things done to your animal that you didn't ask for or want, DONT GO HERE. Poor service, worse customer service, and just overall didn't seem to care. Have you ever gone to a restaurant and ordered the burger only to have the chef decide you needed wings? Yeah, me neither. However, I did take my rescue Schnorkie in today (I rescued Fancy the first of April, 2022 and she had her first "teddy bear" cut at Dawg Gone Dirty a week later) for a spa treatment which I paid for. I asked for the "teddy bear" cut - same cut as last visit - but got a schnauzer cut instead. Because I work an hour away from the doggie spa, I asked my mom to pick Fancy up after I was notified she was done. Mom called my phone when she arrived to pay for and pick up my Fancy. She wanted to know if a tip was necessary. I didn't answer because I was working - it's kind of necessary these days when you want to pay for groceries, gas, doggie spa days, and such. Mom went ahead and gave the 15% tip along with grooming fees and departed the facility. She called me again because she wanted to prepare me for what I would see once I was off work and back home. She did not prepare me well enough. I arrived home and YEP, I called Dawg Gone Dirty to ask "what the heck?" I asked for a "teddy bear" cut correct? YES MA'AM you did. Okay then ... why did my dog get a schnauzer cut? I was told ... "hold on, let me transfer you to the groomer." Patrice (sp) the groomer explained ... "I saw you asked for a "teddy bear" cut but I wasn't for sure you meant a "teddy bear" cut so, I did a schnauzer cut. "Well Patrice (sp)," I said, "I meant a "teddy bear" cut so what do I do now?" Patrice explained, "you can let it grow out and I will give her the right cut next time." I then asked, "so I get to pay for something I did not ask for?" Seems as if the answer to that question is "Yeah" because ... that is what Patrice (sp) told me! Hey, I ordered the burger and got wings instead. Kind of wonder if the owners of Dawg Gone Dirty or even Patrice (sp) would be willing to pay for something they didn't ask for? read more

HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND! Our latest visit was absolutely horrible. Our dog was stuck up there from 8AM to 6:30PM, all the while we were yanked around on the pickup time. We were told pickup would be 4, then 4:30, then 5, then 5:30, and he wasn't ready to be picked up until 6:30PM! He is extremely dehydrated EVERY time he's picked up and it's quite distressing to see my dog suck down an entire large bottle of water upon leaving this facility. We will not be back and we will not be recommending this facility in the future to anyone. read more

Our girls love going to their "doggy spa day" at Dawg Gone Dirty. We moved to the area almost 6 years and and Spice and Tippy enjoy their visits. The staff is friendly, real dog people and the dogs love to be free range dogs in the shop after their finished and are waiting on the human folks to come pick them up. Country prices, nice people. We had taken our yorkie Isabelle to Petsmart and before we got out of the parking lot they called and said we needed to pick her up because she was aggressive and so we made an appointment at Petco, we explained was had happened at the last grooming place. They said, know problem. Well before we got out of the parking lot they called and we had to go back and get her. I saw Dawg Done Dirty on my way home from work, I stopped and told them about my Isabelle. They had me bring her on a Saturday just to hang out with them. Now, what any other business would do that? I love, love Dawg Gone Dirty. Best place to take your pet to get groomed. I would recommend them and I do recommend them to anyone asking for a groomer. Best place ever!!!!! read more
