It is therefore without asking me many questions that I select the restaurant No. 1 on TA in Enniscrone. The cocktails are quite rustic, with pieces of broken ice that make the tasting difficult and some small ice balls that get stuck in the straw. The taste is not exceptional. The Killary mussels with Italian Pinot Gris, shallots, garlic cream and lemongrass are superb. A simple dish but well seasoned. The shrimps were largely over fried 30 seconds. The breading is too brown. The legend of Enniscrone's black pork makes a dish with a filet mignon. Unfortunately, even if it tastes good, this one is a bit dry. The accompaniments are a bit rustic. The parmesan mussels are good but something acid I do not know what spoiled the dish. The beer bread is a marvel. Cheesecake pretty good but the glazing is completely missed, completely dull. The last bad point will be for the wine list which is composed of bottles too weak for the pretended status. I first choose a Pinot Noir from New Zealand which was not "open". The waitress then guides me with confidence towards a Chilean Malbec which turns out disastrous. We get back to Pinot Noir ... To summarize, this is a restaurant whose chef has skills but lack perfection on many points of detail. It's a shame because it is an establishment that has certain pretensions in terms of decor and service. Bill of 111 euros for 2.

Initially could not find a reservation for one, but I walked into the place during a weekday…read moreevening and there were a lot of tables available, so I was seated immediately. Main course: beef cheek with tarragon and garlic mash, crispy kale, and broccolini. A very satisfactory dish. Beef cheek was seasoned richly, and had tender and juicy fibre. A generous portion of creamy and velvety mash that literally melted in the mouth. Broccolini also nicely cooked. I was not a big fan of kale but the crispy ones in this dish offered an interesting addition to the generally soft and tender texture of the other elements. Dessert: honey crumb ice cream with berries. Portion was BIG for the price. Ice cream was velvety. Some crumbs could be a bit smaller but they went well with the ice cream. Overall, very satisfied, though prices could feel a bit high for some. 4-4.5 stars.

Passed by this restaurant right down the street, and liked what we saw on the menu posted in the window. Tired of pub food and overpriced restaurants, we decided to go back there for dinner. If you're looking for ambience, this isn't your place. But if you want good food at very low prices, you'll find West Kebab will do just fine. We ordered the combo plate for two, which was a huge mound of meat - 2 kinds of lamb, 2 of chicken, 2 pitas, and a small plate of lettuce, onions, tomato, and a delicious cabbage salad. We asked for a little more of the cabbage and the waitress gave us a considerable portion. All this for €14. They don't serve alcohol and we don't drink soda, so this was the complete bill. Big change from what we've been spending for dinner every night. The lamb chunks were cooked a little more than I like, but they were tender enough and tasty. All of the meat had less salt than I usually find in this type of food, which was appreciated. There is waitress service, and it was friendly and efficient. They don't take credit cards, and amazingly, they're open until 1 AM!
