My appointment was put in the system for something else, so waited an hour for them to finally figure out what I was there for. I could go on and on. Run, don't walk from this place and don't look back. We deserve to be treated better than this. If you decide to go, best of luck, you will need it.

They didn't make me feel crazy for being so worrisome and my baby is alive today because Cowan listened to me and didn't brush me off as an overly worried parent. However, nurse Kathleen Stenlund made multiple snark comments and made me feel very uncomfortable. When we arrived the very first words she said to my husband and I were "thank you for contributing to my paycheck, you guys are here so often". I laughed it off and said "yes we're worried parents". After the appointment Cowan sent us to the ER and we were admitted because my 2 week old had a virus and bacteria in her blood. The next day my husband ran into nurse Kathleen at Banner hospital where she said "oh so she really did have a fever I guess mom's intuition is right" to my husband. As a medical professional one should never assume that a parent is lying about symptoms or brush parents off as just worried. I already felt bad about going to their office so often because I didn't want to be "that" parent and I felt like my concerns would be brushed off just like how Kathleen did. Treating families like that can be detrimental because it enforces a negative stigma that parents have about not being taken seriously by medical professionals and will keep them from taking their potentially sick child to be seen. I hope El Rio can address this.

I have a social worker that has helped me when I have problems getting supplies and/or connecting with specialists. She is eager to help me with any task connected with my if she is able.I've had absolutely excellent care and everyone I have dealt with at El Rio has been thorough, kind and supportive. When I have had illness on the weekend, I have gotten same-day appointments at the Congress location with no issue When I have a more urgent need. I am able to see physicians, other than my primary, quickly. I was recently in the hospital with a kidney infection, and El Rio sent a hospitalist to cover me and he was beyond excellent. Explained everything to me in detail and checked on me every day at least once I have had appointments at three different facilities for lab work and they are all clean and comfortable. I find that if I am appreciative and appropriate in my behavior, I receive a similar response. El Rio Health attracts excellent medical workers and believe we are very lucky to have this group and Tucson!

He is very through in describing your test/ lab results as well as explaining different treatment paths and why he thinks one path is the best. Recently I was out in a new medication and when I started having negative side effects I was able to message Dr Maxwell through their patient portal and he messaged me back the same day and had a new prescription ready for me soon after that. I can't recommend Dr Maxwell high enough!!!

It's that kind situation everywhere now. My only concern was checking out and getting my meditation. I believe the 2 girls were new and the 15 minutes it took yo check out wasn't the issue. It was the lack of confidence I had because they were outwardly loud about not knowing about the medicine, how to log it, who it was going too, etc. It made me really nervous. A mistake that's now cost me health, money and a lot of time. They didn't submit the proper documentation to my insurance on time - even though I called and asked multiple times - each time I was met with a rude tone, as if "we're not stupid - don't ask us again". Well, my insurance confirmed that the office ignored multiple phone calls and faxes trying to get it covered. They lied and wouldn't even try to help resolve the issue - then calling the company that she works for - they couldn't care less. They "looked into" my issues and found no problems. They wouldn't talk to my insurance or care to look at the evidence - they said "we talked with Dr Gallo's staff and everything was done properly". No, it wasn't and that's why I'm not liable for THEIR referrals - because they wouldn't submit it within the timeframe needed and lied about it. We choose professionals to do things like that because it's a complex deal understanding the processes and policies involved. They don't act professional and it's as if they enjoyed my issues - both Dr Gallo and Laura. I'm going to sue them because it's cost me months of treatment, a financial loss and countless hours of my life - not to mention the stress it's put on me. Every person I had the pleasure of talking to on his staff were super friendly, super helpful, and just overall awesome! Dr. Senese himself was personable, knowledgable, and very helpful. He explained to me everything he saw on my x-ray and helped me to understand what was going on. He listened to and addressed all of my concerns, and came up with a great game plan to help treat me. So far, so good. It is also important for me to note how much I appreciate that he is in his own practice, and not a giant group. The giant groups are miserable to deal with, from trying to get them on the phone to make an appointment, to the wait in the office for said appointment. This didn't happen here. You don't go through menus to talk to someone. The woman that answers the phone can help you with everything you need, short of actually talking to the doctor. The wait time in the office was only a few minutes, and I was early to my appointment. He was on time had I not been early. I was seen by the doctor within 5 minutes of having my vitals taken and issues written down by the nurse. Based on this first visit, I would recommend Dr. Senese to anyone!
