I got so lost just trying to park and find a level to cross over to the hospital entrance. Make sure you go to ground level and make your way over to the entrance. Nurses and doctors are great. Also there's a hallway connecting the main hospital to the cancer center so you don't have to leave the parking lot to go there. Part of the maze that's not as bad. Parking is $4 on the Kellogg side for up to 6hrs the. It jumps to $20! If you're on the Kellogg side, you can get a parking sticker which reduces it back to $4. On the hospital side I don't think you can get a sticker so we'll be paying $20! If you're in the Evanston area then this is a good hospital option. If not, it's not worth driving from far away.

If it weren't for my doctors whom I love so much, I would have left this practice. The buildings are dirty. A couple of years ago, we went to Evanston hospital and they put us (my young son) in an emergency room with dried blood. I didn't notice until we were done with our appointment and I started looking around. It was on the sink, the bed rail, the curtain. I was going to seriously report them to the health department, but my husband said to let it go. The referral process is a JOKE. You are constantly having to jump through hoops only to be told no. And unfortunately referrals have to go through your medical group before insurance. It's too much to deal with. They don't care about the patients. It's all about money.

I told her of the incident and she said "I'm sorry to hear that" and then went over my med list and medical history while I'm on the verge of tears. I finally stood up and said "I'm leaving." I did receive a voicemail apologizing and saying it was addressed. However, as a nurse for the past 10 years I understand on a deeper level that the comfort they felt talking about patients at work indicates a culture of not respecting their patients. When we go to the doc we want to feel heard, be taken seriously, and be met with empathy and assistance. I no longer believe this happens at this clinic. Find a clinic that doesn't mock their patients.

I don't understand having to pay at this parking garage, and the garage itself seems a little dangerous, with two-way driving around these sharp curves. However, the nursing staff that we encountered the garage and on the way to the office, were very helpful and accommodating. We arrived for the appointment and did not have to wait -- less than five minutes before we got to see the nurse. The NP explained everything very thoroughly--and we were finished in about 15 minutes with the exam. I went to pay for parking and it was free, so I don't understand the parking gates in the first place. It was a relief to not have to wait in the waiting room, and the visit was concluded quickly.
