Tom took the original piece back with no problem, found us a larger piece of same quality and gave us the same price! I have already purchased carpet for another room from Tom and will have Steve install shortly. Highly recommended, Thanks for everything Tom.

I have so many indents in my floor from everything that has been sitting, you can see any nails underneath in the floorboards and god forbid you drop something. This company does not provide specific installation manuals, I requested one repeatedly and after much delay I was sent a generic manual from Google. We had no idea what products and techniques would be best to use to keep this flooring intact. Probably would have been worthless anyway considering the poor quality. Just installed this flooring in the spring and it already needs replaced. So much time and money down the drain. Their website is also a pain, I had to call to have them fix their "bug" so the sale percentage would apply to my cart and I am unable to post my review on the product that I bought due to a reCAPTCHA verification glitch.

So, I happened to go to TSC and noticed Phil's Carpet. I went inside and was introduced to Eddie -a sales representative. Eddie was great at listening to my needs. A true people person. After getting 12 samples and some additional information, I was able to proceed. I paid half down and balance at the end. Phil's is not an absolute store but a flexible one. Next, Eddie worked miracles with scheduling and I got an early morning install. Roberto and Axel came at the promised time to the second! After a few minutes of viewing the area to be carpeted, Roberto went to work. Padding down carpeting down and it was over. Quality assurance was performed from start to finish. There were no loose fibers to be seen. In all, Phil's Carpet is one of the best flooring stores in our area. I would go to Phil's before trying Knoxville stores. Finally , I have to have my kitchen hardwood replaced and I WILL go to Phil's Carpet for my job. Yes, they install hardwood .

He did not include 1/4 round trim and base boards in estimate so my mother paid additional money for 1/4 rounds and assumed that was all that was needed to finish floors. The trim did NOT match the rest of the flooring already in place in the house. 2nd He told my 77 yr old mother that he was finished and collected his money " in cash" and then told her he DOES NOT do baseboards and left half of the job of installing the trim unfinished. 3rd. When he came out and gave her the estimate he had to see there was no trim or baseboards in certain areas that had to be removed due to the water damage , did he think my 77 yr old mother was going to put the base boards on so he could then install the trim? Or was she supposed to hire someone to install just the baseboards? If he couldn't complete the job he shouldn't have accepted. Finally when Ben and your store was called and asked why my 77 year old mothers floor was not finished we were told they don't do baseboards. I Do Not Recommend either Bowman's or Ben Owens, Dun-Rite Flooring. They took advantage of a 77 year old woman and they did not stand behind their recommendation and they did not complete the job. After waiting several weeks with no samples, I called to follow up. The salesperson told me, "We're in the business of selling carpet, not giving it away." I explained that my intent was to buy carpet, and that I was specifically trying to determine what type would work best in a home with dogs. I asked if he could recommend suitable carpet types or help me choose samples. His response was essentially, "I don't know what to tell you," and he said the company would not provide the samples. That was especially frustrating because the company's own website explicitly advertises free samples as part of the buying process and says customers can describe what they need if they don't know the exact style. I was actively trying to spend money with this company and was met with zero interest in helping me make a purchase. If your website promotes free samples and assistance choosing carpet, your sales staff should at least be aware of that policy. Very disappointing experience.
