When Phil opened this store in Montgomery in 2010(?), I was so happy. I'd moved here from Florida…read morein 2008 and was from San Francisco. Everything was online until I found this slice of nirvana in the Deep South. I found this treasure by 2011. Mind you, this store is truly an Emporium! Phil has books in pretty much every single topic with metaphysics and alternative religion. His library room is a place where you can spend hours. There is quite the selection of Tarot among with various oracle cards and stone Runes, a Nordic system of divination. Phil also sells books on Reiki and is a Reiki healer as well as teaching classes. There are candles for about every occasion and need. You will not be at a loss to find crystals as he carries soooo many. There is a large binder with explanations for the healing and magical properties of every stone. And, Phil has books for crystals along with how to create crystal grids. Mystical Treasures encourages wellness. The jewellery is amazing. He has beautiful pendants for every single price range. No one is left out when they come into Mystical Treasures. There is an incense room. The aroma of the various incense is calming and soothing to your senses. You walk into Mystical Treasures and feel just the chaos of every day living be gone for the time you stay at the store. Phil is very generous to allow people to teach classes. There is a monthly Wise Woman's Meeting on the 4th Saturday of the month. Our own Mama Mitzi, who also is a tarot reader and a spiritual advisor, facilitates this event. Mama Mitzi does tarot readings and advising on the premises. Check Facebook for announcements when she is in the house. Come visit Mystical Treasures Emporium. You will not be disappointed...

Horrible customer service -- complete waste of my time. I…read morecame all the way out of town because I was actually excited to visit this shop and support the business. I even called ahead of time just to make sure what time they closed before making the trip. When my boyfriend and I arrived, I walked around and saw several things I was interested in and wanted to ask about, including the teas and Krystal's. One employee was standing and talking with someone away from the counter, so I waited for an opportunity to get some assistance. There was someone sitting in the chair at the front counter, and my boyfriend and I both said "Excuse me" to get their attention. Instead of acknowledging us or offering any help, they continued their conversation. At that point, we simply walked right out. I came prepared to spend my money and support this business, and instead I was completely ignored. Why call ahead, drive all the way out there, and waste my time just to be treated like I wasn't even there? Customer service matters. I'll gladly take my business somewhere that actually appreciates customers. I will not be coming back.

There is a reason Quality Comix has across the board 5 star reviews. They really are the best…read more My middle school age daughter inherited a cardboard box full of comics from my Dad. Smart kid that she is, she immediately started looking them up on eBay. She quickly realized that her box of comics was pretty exciting. After some research she came across Quality Comix and their amazing reviews. She submitted her list of comics and Lee called us the next day. To say that Lee is a total kick to talk to is an understatement. He walked us through our list of over 100 comics, shared amazing advice and insider knowledge, and gave us a solid idea of what we had in our new collection. This was the point at which Lee could have just given us a number and offered to buy our comics. Instead, he asked my daughter what she planned to do with the money. When she said is was for college, he advised her to get the most valuable comics graded and let them appreciate in value. Let that sink in. After 45 minutes on the phone giving us tons of info Lee didn't push for a sale. He told my daughter to keep her comics. We are both super grateful for the knowledge we now have about her comics and the chance to watch them appreciate over the next few years. When she's ready to sell, you know we'll be calling Quality Comix. They're the real deal, a business with people doing the right thing and having a fun time doing it.

I am beyond impressed with Quality Comix. My husband has a childhood collection and in the process…read moreof downsizing, I took it upon myself to analyze, repackage and value the collection for sale. I became overwhelmed with it all contacted QC for help. Lee was an absolute delight! He educated me and provided fantastic insight and guidance on how best to inventory and photograph our comics. He was so kind, a true breath of fresh air - I really appreciate the advice and am excited to keep moving forward on this task. Thank you, Lee!

Eastdale Mall

This is the biggest indoor mall in Montgomery. The mall is located 6 miles away from the downtown…read more At 7:00 pm, this mall has a low traffic for people. The tax in Alabama is 10% and it is difficult to encourage sales. The mall has a few anchor stores like Sears, J C Penny, Belk, and Dillard. These are not the high end stores. But this mall does have an ice ring. I can see some youngster in the ring practice their jump and loop. Their movement is beautiful. As a visitor from out of state, I feel the living standard here is low and affordable. Since the state of Alabama do not have much of gas tax, the sale tax is high and may stir away and discourage me to buy more in the mall. But the low price of the items actually makes up the different in mall sales. The stores here is typical I can find in strip shopping center in Florida. They have not much to offer.

BEWARE!!!Awful! Just awful! No security, no money for security, drab, cheap. Teenage and gangster…read morehang out. No families, children for old people seen on my visit today. People are scared to go since they had that shooting in the parking lot out front last year. More than likely, it will close soon. And they'll turn it into another Police station like they did the old Montgomery Mall. So sad, goodbye Eastdale Mall. This used to be the Place to hang out in the '70s and '80s. There are a lot of urban clothing stores gearing towards a particular demographic. I still don't see any mall security driving around the times I take my grandkids to chuck e cheese, and it's dark when we leave. I don't feel safe if you go in there.I don't feel safe taking my family there. There is no security. Although they have a sign saying, teenagers must be accompanied by a parent in the evening on weekends, it is not enforced. I see people teenagers being dropped off there. There's also a sign on the door no weapons allowed. Wouldn't have many customers if they put up a metal detector as I can guarantee you most of those rough looking gangster.Types are packing heat when going inside the mall. What today and made a photo of Spencer's, have fond memories of when I took my son there. I wanted to send him a photo. I don't see many cameras around inside the main mall corridor or in the parking lot. The food court is closed totally and got it out. They need to update their google facts about them mall. It is inaccurate, the ice skating rent closed years ago. There is a roller skating rink. Now, that was totally dead in the late afternoon. There was some kind of restaurant that used to be there that has closed. It is not a welcoming place. You feel like a minority in a secret membership club. Dirty floors and bathrooms. Selling cheap cell phones, cheap jewelry stores, cheap kids toys, cell phone repairs. Cheap sunglasses, watches every kiosk that can sell cheap stuff Is there. Meanwhile, all the nice stores are closing and leaving for good reason! It's very sad. It used to be a nice small, you used to see families and children but not anymore. Even my kids don't want me taking the grandkids after that shooting, they say, "Go to Eastchase!" There are no more nice decorations. There is no money, no more flowers in the planters outside. Since the home store closed over a year ago, no one knew has moved in in that spot. Before that, it was Sears, before that, it was Montgomery.Ward, when I used to work there. Maybe that's why the renter cop didn't want me making photos of all the stores that closed. He said, people don't want their photos taken and posted, I explained to him one picture I was making for my son and some other pictures of different and new stores to post on facebook check in as free advertising. Guess they don't want free advertising their businesses booming without it! I still shop at Dillard's outlet there. But they have the entrance to the mall blocked off. Chuck Cheese has very slow busines. The manager told me they were trying to relocate to Eastchase Mall, Iguess it didn't work out. I honestly don't see how the mall is still open. I thought the rent a cops harassment was ignorant, aggressive and rude. As far as yelling at me about making photos was unprofessional and unfounded. There are no pictures or signs, forbidden photography within them all, and the code of conduct when you first walk into the mall like in a high school. It says nothing about such a rule. It mainly concentrates on violent behavior because they realize what kind of demographic population is shopping and hanging out there! Many of the kiosks in the middle are standing empty as you can see on the photos. Really? Getting bent out of shape. It's really funny to me because there weren't even any people there for me to make pictures of. The place was totally dead, and this was in the late afternoon on a Friday. There used to be nice music playing Over the speakers, There was nothing music no atmosphere. They took down FB reviews, no new posts .
