I recommend this bike shop 1 million times if I could leave a review for it I would. Winston, the person who helped us was extremely nice and accommodating. He told us that he could have our scooter tire replaced within 4 hours, so we hung around especially coming from South Sacramento this was a plus. We had previously taken the scooter to a very popular place in sacramento, Tahoe Park who would not replace the tire because we wouldn't allow them to fix other things that were wrong with the scooter. So, Winston told us what was needed and we will definitely be back to use him to make those repairs on the scooter. If you have read this far please go see the bike shop. Took my bike in yesterday to tune my brakes after a colleague recommended this place. It is within walking distance of my house, so that's a plus. Winston did a great job with the brakes, made some recommendations about other things on my bike and charged only $50 for the adjustment which was also done really quickly. I'll be back. One drawback, can't tell that it's a bike shop by looking at it from the outside, but it right next to waxing place. read more

Came to visit my daughter at UC Davis for the weekend. Upon arriving, I found out that she had a broken brake lever. Didn't bring my tools or a replacement part so I frantically searched for a trustworthy, knowledgeable bike shop open on Saturdays to get her bike repaired on short notice. Didn't want to leave my daughter with only one brake before the rainy season. Winston at Davis Bikes and Skateboards was able to replace both levers and perform other adjustments in less than a day for a very reasonable fee. Winston is the best!! My daughter's derailer got caught in her spokes this morning on the way to school and bent all out of shape rendering the bike unrideable! She needs it daily to get to and from school so time was a big factor for me. Today was my first time working with Winston and he did more than help me out. He gave three options for repair or replacement of the shifter, understanding that my daughter will outgrow the bike in a few month's time (the goal is an appropriately sized bike for Christmas in 4 months!) As an inexperienced biker, this little shop helped me out a lot! The owner was incredibly respectful and could perform on site and on day bike repairs, adjustments, and had really good offers compared to other stores. Note that the shop is a bit small so it'll definitely be a bit of a squeeze. But he adjusted and put on my bike carrier basket for me and installed a new bike seat (which I wouldn't be able to do alone) My friend/roommate also got her bike that was adjusted him and it's so far way better than mine (I have a Walmart bike mind you) I will be coming back for tuning and definitely recommend this place!! read more
