While it is understandable that the immigration process can drag on for years, that does not excuse the fact that we just received a letter in the mail saying that our case is going to be inactivated / closed, accusing us of being the ones not responding. In early April I received an email from Abril Hernandez saying that they had received everything they had requested from us, and that they were working on the edits so they can finalize the packet and forward to the attorney for final review. I followed up on June 8 and got no response. I followed up on June 16th with no response. I followed up on August 10th, and finally got a response on August 18th that included a list of pending items including signed documents (I-485, I-864, I-765), something phrased as "CLT APPROVAL TO TRANSFER PACKET TO ATTORNEY FOR REVIEW", the remaining balance, and a copy of our 2024 taxes all pages and all W2s / 1099s. We had never heard anything about needing to "approve" the transfer of the packet to the attorney, nor had we ever been asked to provide any signed documents. There was no mention in the August 18th email about any risk of our case being inactivated or closed. I responded saying that we were not aware that they were waiting on anything from us other than the payment of the remaining balance, and pointing out that as of our last interaction, there had been no need for 2024 tax returns and such since it was prior to the April deadline for filing 2024 taxes. In the August 18th email, it was also stated that "it appears that our recent follow-ups may not be reaching you. To ensure we're communicating effectively, could you kindly confirm the best email address and phone number for the primary contact on your side". I find it very odd that the email of August 18th got to me just fine, but prior "recent followups" did not? I checked my email thoroughly including my spam folder and found nothing. This has been an ongoing issue with this firm. Garry Davis has always been courteous and respectful. The staff however seems to have had recurring problems keeping up with our case. If this situation is resolved acceptably to us, I will follow up on this review. I hope it is. read more

And when he was detained by ICE after that meeting and subsequently taken away to a detention center no legal person tried calling either him or ICE on his behalf. I hired this firm to prepare and file an I-140 petition under the Multinational Manager/Executive category. From the very beginning, I informed them of a key condition: that the employer would not be directly involved in the process. Despite this, they accepted my case, took full payment, and began preparing documentation -- only to later inform me (after long delays and minimal communication) that they could not file the petition due to an internal policy requiring employer involvement. I had to follow up multiple times, and only after requesting an in-person meeting did I finally get clarity. This lack of transparency, poor follow-up, and disregard for the urgency and sensitivity of the matter left me feeling deceived. I paid for a service that was never fully delivered. This experience was not only disappointing but extremely stressful and costly. I hope this review helps others proceed with more caution. For the price they charge, you would expect professionalism, clear guidance, and accountability -- none of which I received. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN INVOLVED IN YOUR DIVORCE I only gave 1 star because no stars isnt an option. My divorce was final in November 2024. First of all, I didnt meet my attorney until the day of court, when she was 35 minutes late and I had to call the office and remind her of my hearing. My attorney did not know how to put child support in the divorce decree and put wording that the Attorney General will not honor. I called and emailed repeatedly after court for MONTHS with only sporadic replies telling me they hadnt had time to "figure out what to do". Finally they filed a new document that was also wrong. After that-they left me at the mercy of the Attorney General. After literally HOURS and HOURS on hold/speaking with the Attorney General for MONTHS...I now have to go back to court (without an attorney because this firm has just stepped out). According to the court, I will not get a court date until at least August or September 2025. That will be 10 MONTHS after my divorce was final and the court advises that it's very unlikely back child support will be ordered. I have potentially lost almost an ENTIRE YEAR of child support because of this firm. They did NOT fight for me or my daughter. They shuffled me through their process, put minimal effort into making sure my needs were met. If you have children involved in your divorce, please take the money and hire someone else. read more

I keep asking for debt validation, but they send a piece of paper with all my information. I want to see my signature but they are ignoring them. Phone calls are not returned, wait on-hold only to be disconnected, they will ask for the same material multiple times only to ask for it again. We explained our situation very clearly. They claimed I owed $18! and didn't file documents complete and on-time. I paid the $18 and demanded a receipt, but they held-up the case claiming I didn't pay the $18!!! I chose Davis & Associates after a friend recommended their firm. Getting return phone calls and updates on my wife's immigration application has been problematic at best. They are quick to charge a late fee if you don't pay but can't even give you an up to date invoice. I tried numerous times to reach the accounting department only to get an automated system that referred me to several paralegals that never answer their phone. First we were told my wife's travel documents would be completed by August then when that didn't happen we were told maybe by March next year. Then we were told that they really had no control over the time it took for the government to complete the application. looked on the government web site and found out 80% of the applications are completed in 16 months not 5??? Mind you I hired a attorney and ended up having to track down legal records on my own (not sure if this is normal) but If I hire a attorney they should be the ones doing the work not me. They were paid $2250.00 IN FULL by me and did not take their responsibilities towards me as their client seriously. After Susan, my case was reassigned to another paralegal who also didn't do her job either. Months had gone by and yes, I was busy (exactly why I hired an attorney) however its not an excuse to not have the attorneys no work on my file as they originally promised. After me complaining about that paralegal they assigned another person to my file. During my INS interview nobody was available to represent me (because they said they didn't have anyone in the area) Fort Myers FL. However they did have someone in Miami and apparently my case was not important enough to make the two hour drive to protect their client. After my application got denied I fired them. They kept the $2250.00 and now not only am I out of that money, I am denied, and basically screwed and have to start all over again. My biggest mistake was not researching the right lawyer, I assumed they were in Miami all is good. NO do your research and pick a local attorney. Do not use unprofessional, unreliable, attorneys like DAVID AND ASSOCIATES!! Save your money cause I just got screwed out of mine.... Thanks D&A for showing us how you truly handle your clients. BTW Beatriz Gadoy could have called me instead of having one of her girls to call me and tell me i was screwed and not getting refunded. I wish that I could go back in time and warn myself not to use this firm. The short version: My husband now lives in the USA. That is great. However, it was a long, frustrating, painful experience due to the lack of attention and general apathetic attitude by Davis and Associates. In September of 2016 I met with Garry Davis to discuss our options. I went in to this knowing absolutely nothing about immigration, just as most people do. My fiancé at the time was living in England and needed to be there for another 9 months to obtain full benefits from his job before moving to the US. Mr. Davis told us that we should avoid the fiancé visa altogether and that we had 2 main options. 1. Get married in the US. My husband would be able to be here legally but not be able to work for 7 months total. 2. Get married outside the US. My husband would be able to move here after 9 months and would have the ability to work. We chose option 2 and prepared to get married in Scotland the following March. Right after we were married, we paid the necessary fees with Davis and Associates. We were asked to fill out certain forms with applicable information and sent them along with our marriage certificate to Davis and Associates. We were told it would take 9 months. We started the process when we got married in March 2017. In January 2018, the USCIS got to our case. We were then told it would take 4-6 months to get an interview. They give you about a months' notice for the interview date. After the interview, you get your passport and visa back in about 2 weeks. That's what, 16.5 months, without including the time it takes to fill out all the documents, get them all reviewed and delivered? There were various delays all through the way, but luckily we got our interview date much earlier than predicted and he was eligible to arrive in June 2018. We were told 9 months. So I think our paperwork was officially sent off to USCIS in May of 2018. It was going to be a waiting game for a long time. I emailed asking for details before Christmas 2017s, and by January 11th 2018 I'd still not heard back from them. Apparently, this was because my original paralegal, Jessica, had left. My new paralegal was Christine. I then continued talking to Christine but on January 23rd, she stopped replying. On Feb 1st, I found out that it is because she was no longer there. Now, Pricilla would be handling my case. In February 2018, we were asked to start preparing the packet for the NVC, along with paying the fees. The packet included an affidavit of support (showing I could financially support my husband) and a DS-260 application. This application is to become a permanent resident. They sent it to us to review and sign. I understood this to mean that they filled out everything and I just had to sign it. We signed everything and sent everything back in early March. We had to send things multiple times because they would claim they never got them. I kept asking for status, and on April 25th I was told that they were still reviewing it and it should be ready by the end of the week. At no point in this excessive review of the packet, did they realize that the box on the DS-260 where you can apply for a SSN at the same time as the permanent resident card, was not checked. We were told it would take about 4-6 months to get our interview date, however, we actually ended up getting it in May of 2018 and the interview was scheduled for June. I reached out to them and asked what would happen - and they basically said, "These are the documents he needs to bring. Call us when he gets to the US." They didn't offer to explain what would happen in the interview, what kind of questions they would ask, they didn't offer to help him prep or provide really any information. They provided a short explanation of what would be asked at the interview after I specifically requested it. You have to get a med check by one of their doctors, but the earliest they could get him in was 2 days before the interview, and they said it takes 5 days to review the medical documents that you're supposed to bring to the interview. I kept calling and emailing asking our lawyers what we should do - did we have to reschedule the interview? Finally I got ahold of someone and she was only able to say that she "thought" it would be ok to provide the medical document later. She couldn't say for sure, and I couldn't get a straight answer so we just hoped it was ok. It delayed it about 2 weeks because we had to wait for the approved medical form to come in. My husband went to the interview, and after he was approved I let the lawyers know. Again, they said, "let us know when he gets here." Honestly, if we could go back in time and just have him here for 7 months without being able to work, we would have done that. The whole process was so expensive and emotionally draining. US Immigration isn't easy, they don't want it to be, but we got lawyers to ease the stress and all they did was add to it. read more

They called me before my appointment and started asking personal and confidential information (even before the actual consultation). Their communication and interest of caring to help you is ridiculous. When I called and the receptionist (client support line) answered and refused to give me her name and was rude after that. After the unpleasant conversation, she gave me the case number and I asked to repeat it, then she wants to ask me who I am to verify the account in order to release the information. When I mentioned to her she should've verified it before giving me the case number the first time she hangs up on me. On top it ask of the ratings, what do you not like about this business, ALL OF THE ABOVE. I was hesitant in writing this review because I feel that they will jeopardize the case with this review but today really makes me feel uneasy when the "receptionist" decided to verify the case after giving personal information.
