I stopped in unannounced to ask for assistance on handling my mother's estate. I've never used an…read moreattorney before - never even spoken to one before - and came to the Holland McGill Law firm because my mother had them do her will six years ago. Janine McGill was very empathetic and professional, reassuring me that her firm could assist me in handling her estate settlement and my role as executor. I couldn't be more pleased with the help I received. Janine accompanied me throughout the probate process - in court, filings, and communications - something I would never have been able to do myself. She's a very upbeat, pleasant, yet professional attorney, and she and her office staff kept in touch and kept me updated throughout the entire process. Her billing was honest and completely upfront (she uses Clio for Clients portal) and she is accessible in her office on Bedford-Euless Rd. I highly recommend Janine McGill and The Holland McGill Law Firm for wills and estate planning. Thank you, Jeanine!

(cool, guess my time is not important),but I agree. I panicked and and did ask if we could make it a phone call as I had to get to my second job and was worried about being late, they agreed. 3:52 rolls around and they called to see if they could reschedule for the following day at 1pm because they were in litigation and could not break away. Sure, phone call at 1. Following day- 1:15 rolls around I call them and am told, "Tammy will call you". 2 rolls around, I call they pick up and hang up. 2:20 rolls around, I call, and they pick up and hang up again. At this point just tell me you are too busy to take on new clients and do not waste my time. If you want to feel like your time has value, that you are worth listening to, that you deserve being treated with fairness, then I would not suggest wasting your time here.

Cynthia was very, very informative from the beginning and communicated all scenarios that could happen. My mother and I are not well-versed in lawyer terms and Cynthia spent a lot of time making sure we understood all the lingo and felt comfortable with the next steps during the entire process. The other party in her office is Kimberly who also was kind, caring and took time to explain. Although communication was not constant, we were contacted when we needed to be. Cynthia would not waste her time just to reach out and say "everything is fine." When hiring an attorney it is important to TRUST them and know that they are doing what needs to be done behind the scenes and you do not need to be involved in every single process. Cynthia is very trust-worthy! She even had us meet her at her office to do a mock courtroom hearing so we would understand what was to happen at court. She even had us follow her to the courthouse and into the courtroom at the time of the hearing so we would not get lost or feel uneasy. She went beyond a lawyers duties and she truly cares about her clients. Cynthia worked with us throughout the process for payment and even allowed negotiation of price at points. If you are looking for a great attorney for probate, look no further! Cynthia will take of you and your families needs properly, professionally and with care.

It was very easy to schedule the first initial meeting and drop down the required $2000 retainer fee. After that it went all downhill. Her lack of communication was the biggest struggle. Phone calls would not get returned as well as emails on a timely basis and of course once you did call or email (without a response) you were charged for her time to read the email or listen to the message (again without a response). Once she did decide to return a call or email there was always an excuse that she had an emergency situation with another client. I thought I was a client? She also stated in her initial meeting that our probate was very simple and gave us a price range of course saying that since it was so simple it would fall in the lower range. When it was all said and done she charged us $600 over the top price. And...when we received the bill we had to send the money within 10 days. She would not even call us back within 10 days!!! I referred her to a friend at the same time as our initial meeting (again that was when she was all responsive wanting the retainer) and my friend ending up terminating the relationship and to this day has not received part of the retainer due or even a phone call to discuss. Very very frustrating way to run a business and would not recommend hiring Cynthia Williams.
