Someone came out again to take final measures to order my new back door. Kyle came out and did an outstanding job in an efficient manner. He was very pleasant and professional. The value was great for the quality of the service, time efficiency, and reliability of their product. I would recommend them to anyone if you are thinking about replacing a door. I have also attached the emails showing that Patrick Priester twice attempted to require us to sign a release before receiving our deposit refund and site restoration payment. The initial offer included a $1,000 site restoration payment, which was later increased to $1,500 in an effort to obtain our signature on a release. Only after I challenged those terms in writing was my deposit returned unconditionally. I have attached the relevant page of the Project Scope Clarification, which states verbatim: "We will patch the dry wall openings, screwed in place." It does not state that the drywall would simply be screwed back in place, as Mr. Priester now claims. Mr. Priester also claims my review is contradicted by my own photographs because I referenced a cutout "directly against our kitchen cabinetry." My review never stated the cabinetry was damaged. It stated the cutout was directly against the cabinetry, which is exactly what the photographs show. I have also attached the company's correspondence demonstrating the four different explanations provided for canceling this project, depending on the audience. Readers can decide for themselves whether those explanations are consistent. At no point was there any discussion of alternative door sizes or any other possible solution. Instead, the project was terminated after the engineering review had been completed, the additional structural costs had been approved in writing, and Speaks had already cut into our finished walls and window frame during the drywall inspection while representing that the door order would be placed. I have no reason to misrepresent what occurred. That is why I am posting the original emails, photographs, contract documents, repair estimate, and correspondence. They speak for themselves.
