This my local go to place to purchase and stay for a quick smoke. Everytime I go there the salesman is very knowledgeable and the regulars in the smoking room are welcoming. They have a great selections of cigars and my wife loves to come as well. Caveat: Tobacco Pipe Smoker I have been to the Davidus Cigar location in Gaithersburg and was recommended to visit the Rockville Pike location. They have a much larger selection of pipe tobacco and pipes. Of course, the overhead price is more expensive at a local B&M than the internet but the gentleman who works there is very pleasant, also a pipe smoker. They carry the typical bulk blends and a decent selection of tins. The lounge has your typical local regulars. Overall, it's a good experience and recommend stopping by. read more

Disclaimer: I've been smoking here everyday for little under a year now . This store has changed my entire mindset on smoking completely. All of the store staff are extremely knowledgeable about their products and much more. They're all courteous and their customer service goes above and beyond. It's a very great location in the heart of Rockville Pike; they have an amazing selection of pipe tobaccos, cigars, pipes, hookah pipes, shisha, vaps, and even snuff. There are ocassional events that offer amazing deals and the prices are unbeatable. They also have a lounge that could have better ventilation, but it's comfortable. The other smokers here are true gentlemen - one of the reasons why I keep coming. I'm in the military so they offer a 10% discount which is a dying respect in almost all businesses. As a smoker, gentleman, and military member, I am a loyal customer only to the Rockville Davidus store. Come by and enjoy a stick with us - I promise you'll come back. read more

I cannot speak highly enough for this tobacconist. My first time in the store, I was greeted warmly by the manager, guided within seconds of asking after a particular brand to a variety of choices in the line, and invited to sit down and join the fellas smoking in back. Davidus Cigars is quite possibly the most courteous, welcoming, and, a rarity these days, intellectually varied shops in the greater D.C. Metro area. The store itself is beautiful, kept clean, with a large lounge in back boasting eight large leather chairs, a flat screen television, and a great group of guys welcome to any topic of conversation. And the cigars! In addition to carrying a fine selection of pipe tobaccos, shisha for hookah pipes, and cigarettes, Davidus has a beautiful selection of smokes, from newcomers to the industry, to old favorites. I have rarely not been able to find what I was looking for, and on the occasions when they did not have a particular stick, I was guided to a smoke that hit all the same flavor notes, quality, and strength. It should be noted that having since met the entire staff at this store, the services provided at this location are uniformly excellent. I had such a pleasurable experience yesterday evening. I stepped inside to inquire about Cigars as a surprise gift for my special guy. Let me prefix this by saying, I am a complete novice. I know nothing about Cigars and nothing about cigar stores. I was immediately greeted by an older gentleman wearing a friendly smile. He asked what brought me in today and I told him I was looking to purchase a cigar as a gift. He asked a bunch of questions to gauge what type of cigar I should purchase but I don't even know what type of cigars my guy smokes! Everything sounded like a foreign language but I could tell he knew his stuff. I forgot the gentleman's name but he was so helpful and extremely patient with me. He gave me some neat suggestions on how to find out without revealing the surprise gift and offered for me to come back so he could make better suggestions on my next visit. This place is a real "mans" place. There were several of men that past during our extended conversation and most seemed acquainted with each other. They had so many different items to choose from including several of cigar boxes. It located right off the metro so I'll def be back! read more

I came into look at their selection. I was greeted by a short fowling gentleman. He wanted to to see my ID, he was extremely rude and awkward when he asked for my ID. They have a very small selection compared to the cigar store in Bethesda. I will be honest here I came in with the intent of looking around and buying maybe one or two cigars. But the way I was treasure by this individual made me not want to do business with this store or company ever. I thanked him for this insight and for letting me look around, as I was leaving I heard him say, "your right..whatever...". I have had bad service before but this was horrible. I highly recommend you not shop here, unless you like bad service and rude people. read more

I went in here for a cigar for the road on a Sunday afternoon and the middle aged Caucasian guy who opened the door claimed, "We are having a private party". After being a regular and spending hundreds on cigars, my husband wanted to try pipes and was sold the whole kit and kabuddle and when the pipe broke within a week ( upon the recommendation by the salesman to pull off the bowl) they would not even do an exchange. Had to try to track down someone who would even help and got nobody. stay away! read more

That said, however, I had a wonderful experience visiting the store recently and found the gentleman who helped me select my cigars to be friendly, highly knowledgeable, receptive to my being a novice, and generous with his time. Didn't have a good experience this morning when I walked into davidus cigars. I waited by the counter for about 6min. While two gentleman talked so I asked did any one of them work here then it got quiet , then one of them said I work here I'm with a customer. The guy that said I work here , name is Henry he's the store manager. Henry made eye contact with me a few times but never acknowledge me . Its normally a good experience maybe Henry is having a bad day. Not good for business . read more
