He was very knowledgeable and could find the source of the problem within 10 minutes. He also confirmed it was limited to one room. I needed help moving the furniture around, and the technician took care of it. The treatment provided by Optimum got rid of the bed bugs. I had a problem with spiderwebs everywhere and other outdoor bugs. I signed up for the outdoor treatment twice a year. We hired The Bug Man to spray for bees at our home in May of 2012, and they ended up damaging the…read moresiding. When we called to try to reach some sort of resolution, the owner, Don, was completely unprofessional. He began swearing, completely unprovoked, and said a series of things (including that our house was 'sh*tty'). What was interesting was that he said these things without ever having seen our house or any pictures/descriptions of the damage that was done to it. Our house is actually very upscale, so it was very telling on character to have the owner not only swearing at me, but also insulting my home, when I'd called over a repair that probably would have taken 15 minutes. To add insult to injury, the spray itself didn't work. We still have wasp nests and carpenter bees. Don (again, the owner) ended up having his lawyer send me a really nasty note that was laughable- I went to Law school, and the idea that the company that damaged my home was going to somehow take action against me truly made me laugh. I am sure it was one of Don's friends acting as a lawyer, and underestimating the intelligence of whom he was talking to. We ended up being stuck paying for the damage out of pocket, and the bee repellent that did the damage never worked. We never received an apology for the vile words that he said to me; it was an experience I can only describe as gross. I would stay far, far away from this company. What's interesting is that it's now 2026, and I still see complaints about them going up on Facebook within the community. It surprises me that they are still in business.
