I'm a working mom who goes to get her hair cut about twice a year - yes, yikes! - and I recently went to David's Salon in Cornelius for my biannual hair extravaganza. I worked with a lovely lady named Angie who worked magic with my eyebrows. Seriously...the lady is a tweezer-wielding genius, able to do battle with unruly eyebrows with the precision of a ninja! After I rose from the eyebrow chair feeling like a groomed boss, we went over to the cutting chair so she could try to tame my outgrown, split-end mess of a head. The best thing? She listened to me. She made sure she understood my wants, my needs, and even what I wanted my future hair to look like. When she was done, I asked her to trim a little more off of the layers, which she did with finesse. Then I wanted heavier bangs, so she did that as well. Both of these things she did without an eye roll, a raised eyebrow, or base utterings under her breath. A total professional, and a sweet one at that. Since moving to the area a little over two years ago, I've tried several different salons and struggled to find one that didn't make me look horrible. When I moved away from my college town in 2011, one thing I did not anticipate is how hard it would be to find a new salon. Since then, I've gone to salon after salon in an attempt to find the same service level, only to be disappointed in one way or another every single time. I am so happy to say that I don't have that problem anymore! I had my first appointment at David's yesterday afternoon with Angie and it was everything I wanted! Angie listened to what I wanted, asked questions, and executed the cut beautifully. For the first time in almost 5 years, I have a haircut that I really love! This salon is incredible. Jayson does a wonderful job. He's extremely knowledgeable and talented. I went in with a color in mind and not only did he get me almost the exact color but he made it even better then I expected. They mixed a color just for me. David was so sweet with getting me affordable product to keep my color. The rest of the staff made me feel like family. I'm am beyond pleased with this awesome place. If your looking for a salon please go to this one. I promise you'll never switch again. They have truly made a customer for life. But more then that they've made a new friend. David has been coloring, cutting, and styling my hair for going on seven years now, and he does an amazing job every time! It is not unusual for random people to compliment my hair at a restaurant or at the mall, and that never happened until I started going to David. David's Salon is a comfortable, relaxed, and fun atmosphere, and the whole staff is all about excellent customer service and making their clients look and feel great! I love the way my hair looks AND feels after visiting David's Salon! The color looks as close to my natural color (which is my criteria for judging a color job) with NO lines to show where my roots have been touched up. I have never had a cut that I have been able to make look as good when I got home as when I left a salon. It lays beautifully and looks great until the next haircutting. Best salon in town. If you are looking for a professional salon where all the stylists are good this is the salon.
